In this children’s religious video, Moses narrates a biblical episode where the Israelites, wandering in the desert, become extremely thirsty and discover a large pool of water that tastes bitter and undrinkable. Moses reassures the crowd that they can trust God, retreats to pray, and God instructs him to strike the water with his staff. When Moses does so, the water’s taste changes to sweet and refreshing, satisfying the people’s thirst. Throughout the story, a child character, Malachi, interjects with complaints about hunger and questions Moses, illustrating typical child concerns. The dialogue emphasizes that God provides for the people’s needs when they trust and wait for Him. The video’s purpose is to teach children the lesson that God is a reliable provider and that trusting Him leads to blessings.

Hello kids, it's Moses here again. Today we have a story about God providing for us. Did you know that God gives us what we need? So we can trust God. As we were crossing across the deserts, the people started to get really hungry and really thirsty. And one time, well, many times they came complaining about the food, but one time the people were so thirsty. I don't know if you've ever been really thirsty. Maybe you can think about the most thirsty you've ever been. When was that? Well, this was that time for the Israelites as we were crossing the desert. They were so thirsty, they could not think about anything except for water. And then guess what they saw as we were walking? Water! And so they ran to this huge, huge pool of water and they reached their hands in and they drank it and oh, it was disgusting. It was bitter. It tasted horrible. And the people said, "Moses, why?" God led us to this water and we've been praying for water and then the water tastes horrible and we can't even drink it. And I said to the people, you know, we can trust God because he's always provided for us. I will go back into my tent and I will pray to God and I will find out what the solution that God has for us for getting water and getting food. Food?
Did somebody say food? Moses, I am starving.
Hi, Malachi. I'm not surprised that you would come here and complain. You have a tendency to whinge. Go ahead, whinge.
Hey, hey, I am right here, Moses. All right, but—
Sorry.
Look, we, the people, I am hungry. I mean, the people, we, we are hungry. There's been no food and Oh, I'm just remembering back to Egypt when I would have such beautiful gluten steaks, and I could just remember the mouth-watering taste in my mouth. Tell me, what do you guys have to eat? For me, I just remember what it was like in Egypt having such amazing food to eat. But we're just so hungry, Moses.
I'm sorry, but right now we're waiting on God. Because God always provides what we need, so trust God.
Ah, I, I, I'm, I don't know what that has to do with it.
I'm still hungry.
I'm gonna go check the next tent.
Okay, remember, God will provide. So you know what I did? I prayed, and I prayed, and then God told me to use my staff again. He said, hold your staff over the waters again, and I I did, and he said, "Now touch the waters." And I did, and the water didn't taste bitter anymore. It tasted delicious. It tasted like the best water you could ever imagine. And everyone came and they drank and they were satisfied, and I was able to say to the people what I already knew: God provides for us, so trust God.
