is a great battle going on between good and evil, and we are mere pawns in the battle. We are not the, uh, what would you say, we're not the warriors, we're not the heroes of the story. Um, we are— we have a hero, and that hero is Jesus. And he doesn't expect us to save ourselves. He doesn't expect us to somehow become, um, vicious and strong and brave enough to go out and defeat the devil on our own. He just says You just stand behind me, and what I will do for you, what I've done for you on the cross, is not just enough, it is far more than enough to assure your salvation, that you will be safe if you stand behind me.
