Continuous group interaction drains teams, especially introverts. Dave Worden suggests a schedule: work 9 am to 3 pm with lunch, then finish by 4 pm, leaving a few hours for solo downtime like journaling or hiking. Built-in alone time prevents burnout and keeps energy high.
It's an energy drain for some people. We're not all extroverts. That much time together, you need to build in alone time, downtime.
You know, like, that's a great point.
We might work from 9 in the morning until about 3, breaking for lunch somewhere in there. So you get a little break there. Then maybe we quit around 3 or 4, and everybody gets a couple hours to like check in with home, journal, or go do what you want, or go find a place to hike, or whatever it is that you need to do. You can't have everybody tied to the business all the time.
It's too much of a drain. It was our last retreat, there was a mansion we stayed at, but it was out front they had along the driveway, like almost like a little meditation spot. Yeah. I found it and I went out there and I did my meditation practice. Like, this is amazing.
