Hey, friends, welcome to the Naked Marriage Podcast. Dave and Ashley here. We got a short, quick important episode for you today to preview what you can expect this summer. We're doing something we've never done before. And I think it might be the most important thing we've ever done on the Naked Marriage podcast. Yeah, I'm super excited about it. We're calling it Summer of Scripture. And there's going to be an episode every day for 66 days in a row. Sweetie, tell them why. What the significance of 66 consecutive episodes. Why that number?
Well, there are 66 books in the Bible and we take a verse from every single book of the Bible and for 66 consecutive days we talk about it. So we share the verse at the beginning of the episode and then we talk about it and how it relates to your life individually, your faith and also your marriage and how you can kind of live out these verses. We talk a little bit about the history of each of these books of the Bible, how they kind of relate to each other, who wrote them, why they're significant in the Bible and in our lives today. It's just a really cool conversation, an ongoing conversation that we wanna have with you. And it's not necessarily about what we say in these short episodes. Cause they're only about seven minutes or so long. But it's really about the conversations that you will end up having with your spouse. We hope this spurs a lot of conversation to help you both grow in your faith and in your relationship with one another.

Essentially a podcast devotional, an audio devotional.
An audio devotional, and a video devotion.
Yeah, and it's totally free. It's totally free, so get it wherever you get the Naked Marriage podcast. It'll be here 66 days in a row. And I'm telling you, if you listen to each one of these episodes, you're going to have a more comprehensive understanding of God's word from beginning to end, from Genesis to Revelation. Because like Ashley said, we don't just hone in on that one scripture for the day. We talk about the. The historical context of the book. We talk about the themes, how it relates to your marriage, and give you some specific talking points that you and your spouse can have to go deeper on these things. And so it will help you grow and it will have practical application for your faith. You know, Jesus taught that all of us are building our lives on something. At the end of his Sermon on the Mount, which you can find in Matthew, chapter seven in your Bible, he said that we're all either a wise or a foolish builder. And a wise person builds his house on a solid foundation. And so when the storms come, that house stands firm. But a foolish person builds their house with no foundation, and that house collapses. And the picture that he's painting is that our foundation has to be God's Word. And if we build our life on our faith in God and his Word, our marriage, our lives are going to weather any storm. And this devotional, these 66 Days, is to help you build a stronger biblical foundation for your life, for your marriage, for your kids, for all aspects of everything that you do. And I think it will really be an encouragement to you. I'm telling you, we've already recorded these, and just the act of recording them was a great encouragement to us. Like, our hearts are full. And we are so excited to share this journey with you.
We are. So make sure you're staying tuned in so you don't miss one episode. We're gonna start this in June, I believe, on June 6, if you wanna watch it and listen to it in real time. But, guys, don't let. If you come late to the party, no big deal. You can go back and listen at any time. And actually, if you feel like you're growing after the 66 days and want to do it all over again, do it all over again. You know, this is something that we want to be standing for a long time. Something that even, you know, your teenagers could listen to. I mean, this is something that Most of these episodes you could listen to, like, you know, with kids in the car. There's a few where we talk about maybe some more marital, you know, sexual things and some of the verses we share, but most of it is very, like, family friendly, and it's something where you could even grow as a family in it. So it's. It's really exciting. I'm excited for you.
It is really exciting, and I truly hope that these are the most listened to episodes we've ever done.
Yes.
You know, even, like, if we do this for another decade, looking back, I hope these 66 episodes are the most listened to because they're more intentionally pointing people straight to scripture in a structured way than anything we've done. And I'm so proud of that. I just think that there's nothing more important than building a foundation on God's word. And so, guys, check that out. It's gonna be a great summer here at the Naked Marriage podc. Hope and Pray. It's a great start to summer for you guys, wherever in the world that you are. Let us know what's going on.
