Welcome to part 1 of 2 New Constructs tutorials for the My Portfolios page. To access the My Portfolios page, go to our website at newconstructs.com and log in. The default page upon login is the My Portfolios page. You can also access the page from anywhere within the website by clicking the My Portfolios tab. To create a portfolio, click one of the Edit Portfolios links either on the blue ribbon or under Portfolio Summary. The first step is naming your portfolio. Type a name for your portfolio in the text box located to the right of Create New Portfolio and click Create. You're now ready to add stocks, ETFs, or mutual funds to your newly created portfolio. The Tickers tab is selected by default. To add securities to your list by ticker, paste or type a list of stocks, ETFs, or mutual funds in the Tickers box below. Tickers can be pasted from lists in Word and Excel. When typing tickers in the box, separate them with a space, comma, or semicolon. Tickers are also not case sensitive. After all the tickers from your portfolio are pasted or typed in the box, Click Add. If a ticker is entered in the box that is unknown to our system, it will appear in the Unknown Tickers list. If a ticker is entered in the box that is not currently covered by New Constructs, it will appear in the list with a red X in the column under Covered. You can also add additional tickers to your list before saving the portfolio. If you wish to add additional tickers later, you can edit the portfolio list after it's saved. To remove a security from the portfolio list, click the Remove button located to the right of the ticker you would like to remove. If you would like to remove all the tickers from your portfolio list and start over, click the Remove All button. Companies can also be added to your portfolio list by sector, index, fund category, or fund provider. To add companies to your list by sector, click the Company Sector tab. Unless you would like to add additional companies to your list, click Remove All. Select the Sector, Industry Group, Industry, and Sub-Industry from the dropdown lists and click Add. To add companies by index, click the Index tab. Select the desired index and click Add. To add ETFs or mutual funds by category, click the Fund Category tab. Select the desired category and click Add. And finally, to add ETFs or mutual funds by provider, click the Fund Provider tab. Select the desired provider and click Add. After you're satisfied with the list of tickers in your portfolio, Click Save Portfolio. You can repeat the steps I've just shown to create up to 10 different portfolios. If you would like to create more than 10 portfolios, contact your sales executive at the phone number listed at the top of this page. Thanks for watching this tutorial on how to access the My Portfolios page and create a portfolio. Please see part 2 of this video for viewing portfolios, managing alerts, and portfolio maintenance.
