New Constructs' Dynamic Data Screener lets institutional investors filter companies by financial metrics in three steps: set criteria, pick companies or sectors, and export results to Excel or API. It includes proprietary data like non-operating expenses buried in operating earnings.

Clients get direct access to our database through the Dynamic Data Screening Tool under the screening section of our website. This tool allows you to quickly access multiple data points, both traditional accounting data points and unique data points that you can only get from New Constructs. Valuation is one category. Operational is the other category. Adjustments is the third category. And it's a very simple 3-step process. First, you select the criteria you want. Then you select the companies for which you want that criteria. And 3, you view results. It's just that simple. Once we have criteria selected, we can choose to add individual tickers one or two at a time. We can choose to get data for a particular portfolio. We can get data by an entire sector or all sectors for that matter. We can do it for a particular index if we wish. The point is choose the data you want, choose the companies for which you want it, and voilà, in a matter of seconds, You have that data. One more click of a button and you get the data in Excel as well. This 3-step process can be further shortened. You can save off certain criteria sets. For example, I saved off this criteria set called Regression. Once I've selected this saved criteria set, go to step 2. Let's say I want to do this for the IT sector. Voilà! There's the data. Here it is in Excel. All I do now is create a chart, which is as simple as Creating a scatter chart and adding a trendline. The flexibilities don't stop there. You can also modify and edit particular saved criteria sets. For example, this criteria set gives us the overall rating and 3 of the 5 subcomponent ratings. Let's say we want the overall rating for only attractive companies. So we change the qualifier from All to Less Than 3. And then we need to add the ratings for Price-to-Economic Book Value and the Growth Appreciation Period. Once our criteria set is ready to go, again, all we then choose is the companies for which we want that data. And there the data is. Keep in mind, the Dynamic Data Screener is not the only way for our clients to get data. We can deliver via API or email you spreadsheets or send direct FTP downloads of data for your system to upload automatically. The Dynamic Data Screener allows our institutional clients to explore all the different data offerings we have. There's a great deal of data points that you can download across a large number of companies and do a variety of analysis, including some of our really proprietary datasets like the total non-operating expense hidden in operating earnings, a particular line item that requires analysis of the management discussion and analysis section of filings. You can't even get these data points from the footnotes most of the time. You can see a lot of other footnote-only items in this list. And under our valuation and operational criteria, you can see a lot of very proprietary, unique items that you can only get from New Constructs. Some items you can get from other people, but with not as much quality. The takeaway is, if it's in our models and it's in an SEC filing, we make it available to you with as much ease and as much rigor and accuracy as you'll find from any firm in the marketplace.
