Hey, guys. Dean Graziosi, welcome to the Weekly Wisdom. It's an honor and a pleasure to have you here. Okay, today I'm gonna show you a little clip which is so powerful on confidence from a live webcast I did the other night with my good friend Trent Shelton. If you don't know Trent, he's an awesome dude with a great message, got a massive following online, and he deserves to have it. So we did a great live webcast, and here's a little clip I want you to see. And when you're done, go to trentlive.com where you could see more of an interview and have the chance to get his new course. Okay, watch this right now.
Corey, he asked, what's the best way you found to build confidence? I have zero, and it's holding me back from meeting new people and everything else. One of the best ways that I found to build confidence is to go out and just to go out and do it right, Anything, anytime that I felt fear, because as a matter of fact, I asked myself this question. It's funny because I used to ask myself this question when I used to have, like, back in my day, in my college days, when I want to go talk to a girl, I used to say, I used to get scared. Like, I was afraid of rejection because so many times, like, ah. But I said, what's the worst that could happen? Only she could say is no, and I'm in the same position that I am, and what's the worst that could happen to you? You know, you get a little rejection, but rejection doesn't mean that your life is over. Like Dean said, how many people told you no? You know, how many people I've had no so many times. And so you realize by going attacking that fear and with repetition, you start to build confidence, and that spills into different areas of your life. And so, you know, one of the things with me, I started doing karaoke honestly just to be. To have a funny part. I was scared to speak. And so I like, I'm gonna just do karaoke and embarrass myself, right? And then people laughed, and that wasn't that bad. And usually that's what happens, you know, so the build confidence repetition builds that confidence and overcoming and conquering that fear. That's how you do it, you know, that's how I did it. If you want to share anything, feel free to.
Yeah. What I was going to say, Corey, is confidence is key. It's hard to do anything in life without confidence. Right. But I want to share Two quick things. First, the first thing I would do is why don't you make a list right now of 10 things that are cool about you. Just make 10 things. It's really difficult. No one likes to talk about themselves. But make a list of 10 things cool about you and let them sink in. You've done amazing things in your life, Corey. You're just. Right now you're only thinking of things you did wrong. You're not thinking of the things you did right. Start thinking about the things you did right. And then the second part. Remember, all confidence starts with being courageous. Courage is jumping out of the plane and growing wings on the way down. Courage is taking a step in a room, taking a step towards a girl, taking a step without knowing the outcome. So start with courage. The second is commitment. Nothing you've ever done in your life has worked without being committed. Relationships don't work. Businesses don't work. Be committed. The third part is get the capabilities. That's what you have the opportunity tonight. You get the capabilities from someone like Trent. You get to follow his footsteps and use. He's already forged a path. He's already failed. He's already found what to do wrong, and he gets to show you what's right. So start with being courageous. Second, commit to it. If you get this course tonight, commit to going through it and doing what this guy says. That's the capabilities. And once you have courage, once you commit, once you have the capabilities, then all of a sudden confidence just starts to grow. Confidence comes when you're in the game. Trent would have never got confidence in football if he was always on the sidelines. It was when he was in the game and he got hit and carried the ball and did the things he did. He found his confidence there. You don't find confidence being on the sidelines. So courage, commitment, capabilities, that'll lead you to some more confidence.
That's awesome, man. Awesome, man.
I love that guy. He's got the biggest heart in the world, and he is the real deal. Go to trentlive.com get some more Trent and Dean on a couple videos that we have here. And check out his course.
