Dean Graziosi made his first million in his 20s but learned that money alone doesn't satisfy. What if there was something more powerful than money, more powerful than success? What if there was something that aligned with your soul so much that the byproduct of you doing something meaningful led to you becoming the best version of yourself? Welcome to the Dean Graziosi show. All success starts right here. Today, I want to talk about something it might be, or it might seem counterintuitive to you. Is there something more important than money? Now listen, I don't poo poo money. Money has helped me retire. Both my parents pay for surgeries in my family that no one else could afford. It's allowed me to take care of people that I love, to have employees that I get to help create abundance in their family. I'm not downing on money, but when I look back in my parents life and what it felt like as a kid when we didn't have money and lived in a trailer park and they were just obsessed on paying bills, that's what they focused on. My mom worked three jobs to make about 90 bucks a week. That's not some story. I remember the pain of that. One of the reasons I worked so hard, my mom would come home, we lived in a trailer park for a while. We lived in lots of places, rented houses, trailer parks. Lived with my grandmother a lot of my life. That's why my grandmother's so special to me. But I remember my mom cut hair. My mom cleaned houses and she painted houses too. She'd go like a new house getting done and she'd go there and paint all the little stuff and clean it up and man, it was rough on her. And that's one of the reasons I worked so hard. So I know what it's like to have lack of money and be completely obsessed on getting money out of the way so I could solve those problems. And I don't think there's anything wrong with it, except I want to add something different today. I want you to think through a different lens. If you're gonna put the time and effort and energy into creating your own thing, to scaling your side business, to taking the business you already have and making it extremely successful and going to another level, you're gonna have to put the energy in anyway. Can we agree on that? You're gonna fail. Let's agree on that. You're gonna hit roadblocks. Let's agree on that. And if you stay in the game, if you learn from other people who have already been there, if you don't listen to the naysayers, if you work on your mindset and you, to me, I believe it's inevitable you will find the success you're craving. But I've watched so many people find the success on the other side after the hard work, after the diligence, and they get money out of the way, but they created something they don't like to be a part of. Maybe you've experienced that the money's coming in, but God, you're still not waking up on fire. You're still not loving what you do. Maybe you fought for that promotion and you're in a space where is this it, right? Or you fought to create this job, this business and this company and you're like, wow, is this it? So what I'm going to challenge you to think about today is put all the time, effort and energy into doing something more meaningful. Something that creates impact in the world, something that fills your soul, something that could create purpose. Now, when I say things like that, I hear your voice, I hear you saying, dean, that's really awesome for you to say. You got money out of the way, I'm still paying the mortgage, the bills, stuck in this job, stuck in the company I created that I don't like. I get all that. But here's the thing. If you're listening to me, that means you're on a journey, you're evolving, you want to go to another level, you want to bring new success into your life. If you're going to take the journey, if you're going to work harder, if you're going to go after more, if you're going to overcome the negative beliefs inside of you, if you're going to overcome the negative people around you, you're going to be the so called dreamer who has unrealistic expectations. If you're going to be the underdog that goes for it. Why not just take a step back and decide to do something that could also fill your sou. That something that's so meaningful that you wake up every day and go, wow, I'm making an impact, I'm changing the world. I mean, fast forward to the end of our lives. Would we rather say I made all this money, I had all this success, but it wasn't that cool, But I did it. I had the cars, I got the rings, and I got the Lambo and the Rolex. Or would you rather say, wow, I did something that lit me up every day, I made an impact, I did something meaningful, I. And in a lot of cases, it could also mean that you had massive success. See, I think the biggest dilemma, the biggest negative belief Or I'm gonna say the worst story we tell ourselves is, yeah, it must be nice to do something purpose driven and impactful and meaningful. But I need to make money. Why do you have to do one or the other? Why do you have to choose? Our world has changed. Opportunities are endless. We have connection to people all around the world. So why not take the time, why not step back a little bit? Why not take a pause this very moment and say, what is it in this world that I can do that could light up my soul, fill my heart, create purpose, create meaning? And the byproduct, hear what I'm saying? The byproduct of that can be success. And that's why if you're watching what my dear friend Tony Robbins and I are doing, we're so excited. Because one of those, and I want you to whatever one fits your soul. But one of those is sharing your knowledge, sharing your skill, sharing an experience you went through. In fact, in some cases, sharing a mess you went through, right? You went through a really difficult time and you came out on the other side. There's people starting day one on that mess. If you've been a manager for 10 or 20 years, there's people starting to be a manager day one, how can you help them? If you cut hair, if you fly fish, if you do over 4,300 niches that we've identified, if you've done a little something, you have experience in it, you have an expertise, a skill, how cool would it be to extract that knowledge and share it with those that are struggling, share it with those that are starting on day one, how cool would it be to have people start off where you left off? You've been an accountant for seven years. You've learned a lot. There's somebody starting on day one. You've been an attorney for 20 years. How cool would it be to help new attorneys go faster? To me, that's one of those opportunities to do something meaningful, to do something impactful, to do something that you love, to do something with a purpose, while simultaneously having a chance as a byproduct to still create success in your life. So again, this is our mission, this is our purpose. This is the movement we created. We call it the KBB method. We're in helping people in over 150 countries, like I said, 4300 different niches, over 25,000, 24,000 people strong right now. And we're still pushing and getting people engaged to understand this process. In fact, if you're listening right now and you Want to learn more? You wanna join us? If you didn't miss it. Tony and I, we only go live and do this training once a year. But what if this very moment, you just stepped back and said, what is it that I could do that would bring purpose? What is it that lights up my soul? How can I impact others? I don't know about you, but nothing makes any of us feel better. Besides two things. Gratitude and helping other people. Think about it. When you were a kid, you loved to get in presents. But don't you love giving them now? Come on, let's be honest. I actually saw a study where giving a present and somebody appreciates it lights up your endorphins. Or that's tech talk that I don't understand that you probably do, but it lights up your brain waves. It releases endorphins twice as much as receiving. So what in your life can you do to give more, to have more Gratitude. And the byproduct could be a next level higher success, Happier, more joyful. You. So that's my challenge for you today on this podcast. How can you step back and find something that allows both? You're gonna work hard no matter what you desire more or you wouldn't be here.
