Do you ever get confused and not know what's next? Well, you're not alone. Hey, it's Dean Graziosi. Welcome to the Millionaire Success Habits podcast. And I see so many young people, and sometimes I forget. So I just want to be completely transparent here. Sometimes I forget what it felt like when you were confused, when you had a desire for more. You were different than your friends. You were different than your family. People called you a dreamer. Maybe your teachers didn't understand you. Maybe school wasn't your thing. Maybe school was your thing. Whatever it is, sometimes I forget what it felt like to be a little scared, to not know where to start, to wonder if it was really in the cards for me to go to another level. So I want to talk to you today about that. And I don't care if you're 17, 1770, or 90, or anywhere in between. Sometimes in this journey for wanting more, especially if you just discovered personal growth or you just started finally letting success, personal growth, personal development sink in. It wasn't something. It's not something you're ignoring anymore. You're hearing it, and all of a sudden you're like, wow, I do have more to give the world. I do want to start that business. I want to scale the idea that I have or I want to stay with the company I'm at. I just want to keep growing within the company, so I'm a real asset, maybe even being a partner in the company that you're in, right? So today in the Millionaire Success Habits podcast, I want to talk about how to get clarity, how to stop the overwhelm and stop the worry. First off, I want to say take a deep breath. Take a deep breath. Because Warren Buffett said it, Bill Gates said it, heard Tony Robbins say it. So I don't know who started it. But it's the saying of, we overestimate what we can do in a year, and we underestimate what we can do in five. And here's what I believe. I want you to picture this. I don't. If you're really. If you're young right now and you're a hustler and you know you want more, just you're not sure where to put all that energy, I want you to think about this. What if. And you hear me talk about this a lot. What if you are designed the way we're built, the way the world comes at us, the way wisdom turns or wisdom evolves, Right? It starts with knowledge and information, and that turns into wisdom. What if we have to be confused for a while? What if we have to take a couple steps in one direction and fail and then step back, take a couple steps in another direction, step back. What if that is part of the journey you must be on? Now that I'm at this age and I look back over a career, being an entrepreneur for over 30 years, I realized I had to do all that. But again, I may have been not ignoring, but forgetting what it felt like to be so confused. So if I was going to give myself advice when I started business, no matter what age you're at, or started on a journey to be a better version of me, or I was younger, what I would say is this. It's okay that you're confused. Confusion means you're not settling. Confusion means that you want another level of life. You're not just going to accept what the status quo is. You're not going to accept what your parents told you. You're not going to accept what your friends have told you or your teachers. You know, you're going for more. So first off, if you're a little confused, congratulations. There's a lot of people that aren't confused. They're just frustrated. They know what they're going to do for the rest of their life. They've already created their path, they've created their destiny. And the confusion's gone. But the sadness and the depression will sink in now or inevitably. Zero doubts in my mind about that. So first, let's just say the confusion is okay. Secondly, you need. It's like, think of your subconscious as a hard drive, right? We need the things that go wrong. We need the confusion. We need to think, oh, I want to do Shopify. And you try it and you're like, oh, no, I don't think that's for me. Or I want to do Real estate and you fail on the first one, but you learn. Or I want to be a speaker, I want to be a coach, I want to run masterminds, whatever it is you want to do in your life. It could be a plethora of so many different things. It's okay to step forward, be not or not be sure or step forward and fail. Because think about this, your subconscious, your hard drive has to determine what you like, what works, what doesn't work, who to trust, who not to trust, who to believe, who not to believe, what's good advice, what's bad advice. And during this moment of taking it all in is when you get confusion. So again, going back to what I said earlier, congratulations for being confused again. It doesn't matter if you had a job for 40 years and you're finally done with it and you want to do your own thing and you're a little confused or you're just Starting off at 18 years old, it means that you are reaching out. So first off, confusion is good. Confusion is building the stamina, it's building the wisdom inside of you. Secondly, this is one thing I would really encourage you to do. Don't just chase the money. I want you to make all the money in the world. I want you to money off your plate so you never think about it again. But I know if I look back again, giving my 20 year old self some advice. And I know I made decisions early on because I was so hungry to be successful. I was so hungry to retire my mom because she worked three jobs to make 90 bucks a week. I was so hungry to not struggle anymore that I took on businesses and did things that was all about the money. It didn't align with my values. It didn't align with my core purpose. Not that you have to know your core purpose and your values. If you're in your 20s, you don't have to know them yet, you evolve into those. But I know looking back, none of them ever resulted in a good thing. None of them ever brought me sustainable money. Because if you're doing something just for the check, or if you're doing something that's a little off on your values, I promise you, you're not giving it all of you. Maybe it's paying the bills, but it'll never be that thing that creates sustainability. It'll never be that thing that allows you to be the best version of yourself. So remember, the confusion's okay. Not knowing what direction to go, that's okay. Keep trying, but right, keep trying, failing, succeeding, learning and find the ones that really drive you forward. Make sure you're doing it not for just the money. Find a way where you can build the money and find a way to be passionate about it. Now, passion could be a word. Excited could be a word. Something that inspires you. Something that could leave a legacy, something that could leave an impact. Something that you're helping change other people's lives. Even if it's a product. You know, I know people that have done the Shopify thing and they sell little plastic widgets from China. And it's exciting. And it seems like they're making money. I see them six months later. Even if they're making the money, I see their soul is empty. Right? Listen, people ask me at 50 years old, how do you have so much enthusiasm? How do you hit the gym every day? How do you always full of life? It's because I love what I do. Now, again, you might be saying, dean, you're there. I get it. I got a long ways to go. I get it. But love what you do a little bit. And tomorrow, love it a little bit more. And the next day a little more. And next year a lot more. In five years, a lot more. Because we live in such an abundant society that we don't have to. We're so blessed in a abundant world. We don't have to do the things that hurt your soul or you're not aligned with or don't match your values or you don't feel serving other people. We don't have to. We have access to so many great ways to make money. That's why you're watching me, right? So again, if you're confused, that's okay. That's part of your growth. Find something that will bring you the money, but also find a way to love it or be passionate, whatever word you want to use. The third thing I want to tell you is that success leaves clues. That's something. I think Jim Rohn said it. Tony Robbins and I were together the other day. He said it. But success does leave clues. And this is what I want you to watch out for. This is the last thing. Be open to the things that you do and look for the clues. The success leaves clues. Also the things that you shouldn't be doing. So if you're starting that new business and four things go bad, but one thing worked, think about how you can throw away the things that aren't working and put more energy and effort on the one part that does and compound off the success. It leaves clues. But here's the thing, if you really think about that, success leaves clues. But most people aren't looking for the clues. Our brains are wired in this weird way to look for what didn't work or why I shouldn't be doing it. Or maybe my mom was right, or maybe my dad or my cousin or my husband or my wife or my friends or my teacher were right. Maybe I shouldn't be doing it. It's like the clues for failure stick out. Like they just pop, pop, pop, pop, pop. And we see them all, well, simultaneously. I promise you this. If you keep your eyes, your ears, your soul open, the success that's going on in your life, even if it's little tiny pieces, will leave clues. But you got to look out for it. That's my message for today. I've had so many texts from young people especially, but it doesn't matter what age you are saying, I'm just confused where to go. Turn that confusion into excitement that you're not settling like everybody else is. Secondly, make sure that you want to point your ship in a direction that if someone said you have to do this for the next 20 years, you'd be like, hell, yeah, I'm going to grow. I'm going to learn. I'm going to lean into it. I'm going to get wealthy, but I'm going to fill my soul up. Try that. I know. Listen, I worked on cars. I didn't love it, but I found a way to satisfy the customer in a way that I found a way to be lit up doing collision work. I found a way to be lit up being a tow truck driver. Like, I found a way, and it filled my soul. And I did it better than anyone on the planet. I knew I wasn't going to be there forever, but I kicked ass doing it. And then the last piece is look for the clues that the success in your life is bringing. The look for the clues the way you're thinking today. Look for the clues on the actions you're taking. You are making progress. If you're here with me right now, you're making progress. So stick with it. That's my message for today. Thanks for being a part of the Millionaire Success Habits podcast.
