Think about it. How small do we play when our confidence is down? We say, oh, life is good enough. This is okay. I'm happy with a good relationship. I'm happy with a good income. I'm happy with a good physique. No, screw good. Welcome to the Dean Graziosi show. All success starts right here. What I want to do right now is I want to go over what someone wrote as the 10 biggest taste takeaways from the Edge. The reason I took the moment to explain the Edge is because it's again, capabilities mixed with success mix with strategy to give you the momentum to show you that you could do it. Now, if you're at the edge, you're going to love this and you're going to remember each one. If you weren't at the edge, then you're going to get a glimpse right now of some of the great stuff we shared. And I'm going to be able to deliver some of that value to you right now. So you guys ready? Let's just make sure we're good. I'm here. I'm here. We're doing good. You're doing great. Dean, going solo. Thank you, Daniel. You know how those things go. I was. I have to be honest, I still get frustrated. I want to deliver to you guys. I don't want hiccups. But you know what? Who cares at the end of the day if the value's here, that's all that matters. If my voice goes flat, then, you know, I'll squeak the way through. Thanks for. You're welcome. Alice Liberio. Dude, you're the bomb. You rock the world. Tina, good to have you here. Okay, you ready? Number one. And these were written by a student, but I thought they were fantastic. I didn't change them at all. It's literally my team printed out the email that they had. So, number one, become amazing at what you're good at and pay people to do what you're not. Now, if you are someone who's been on my monthly training for maybe a year now, you know that I talk about that a lot and not every single time, but I'll go deep on it maybe once a year. Because maybe today, maybe today is a day that you could look at this through a different set of glasses. Maybe today is the first day it actually sinks in. Maybe today is not the day you just hear it. But what about everything I share today? What if today's the day you actually apply it or have it to start? Have it start becoming a part of who you are? That would be amazing. So become amazing at what you're good at and pay people to do what you're not. Now that's how we wrote. But I want you to think about this. Two things that I do. Three things is, I'm a high paid reminder service. Secondly, he wants me to watch all of his students. I want you to work in your unique ability, right? Stop doing the things that don't serve you. Don't serve God, don't serve a bigger future that you could pay somebody $10 an hour while you're simultaneously doing something that can make you 50, 100, 1,000, 10,000 an hour, or right? It's just silly. That's how, that's economies of scale. That's how we go faster. It's how we find time. That's why the busiest people, you know, get things done because they know how to maximize their time. But the last thing is that Dan says the third is you pay me to protect your confidence. Because an entrepreneur or a business owner, somebody wanting to make more money or succeed on a higher level, without confidence, we don't do anything. I mean, think about it. How small do we play when our confidence is down? We say, oh, life is good enough. This is okay. I'm happy with a good relationship. I'm happy with a good income. I'm happy with a good physique. No, screw good. You're not watching me to be good. You imagine if you were a part of this inner training. I said, hey guys, we're going to do everything in our power over the next three years to get you a good life. Now screw good. You're here because you want excellent. Outstanding. You want that next level of life. You know, good is here. We, we want the top. We want to be filled. We want outstanding. So what happens when you work on things that you're not good at or things that you despise to do or things that, you know that someone else could be doing that they'd be happy to do. It's not like you're just handing a terrible job off. What's one man's trash or one woman's trash is another man's treasure? So there's somebody that would be dying to do the stuff that you could pay him $10 an hour for that you shouldn't be doing. Let them do it while you simultaneously do the thing that could make you the most money. So if you think about this combo is, and I'm kind of blending two together here, if you do things that you are not good at, if you do things that you hate doing, does it raise your confidence or lower it? Right? It lowers your confidence for sure. Lowers your confidence means if you were at the edge event, you know this, but I'm going to share it with you. In case you weren't, I said, what is one problem you could solve that could solve many? So think about that. Solve one problem, solve many. To me, solving your confidence problem could solve every problem, right? If your confidence is low, like, should I jump in? Should I make that deal? Should I do the first calls? Should I join that training organization? Should I. Should I go for that? Should I be a part of the Mastermind? Should I make my first deal? Should I. Should I start working less and working on my own thing more? Should, should, should. Confidence is low. You don't do any of it. You go, you know what, let me just play it safe. Confidence is high. When you start thinking where you're going to go, what you deserve, your abundance, your joy, who you are, how much skill, how much energy. You know that you got more gas in the tank, you have more potential. You start seeing a vision of where you're going rather than what could go wrong. You start seeing what could go right, and then all of a sudden, guess what? Confidence is up. You could break through a wall. You could go to the whole next level of life. So this statement to me when I say, become amazing at what you do and pay people to do the rest, that was. Someone else wrote that. But it has so many more meanings than just like, oh, I don't want to do that crappy stuff anymore. No, what's the deeper level? What's even deeper than that? What's deeper than that is your confidence is the decision maker for you. So what do we do to protect it? Stop doing the crap that makes you feel bad. If you suck at something, maybe you'll always suck. I still can't read. I. I still can't spell well. I still cannot read a book and comprehend it. I still cannot type 3 sentences without 10 words being misspelled and go through spell check. I'm never going to work at getting better at spelling. I'm never going to work on getting better at grammar. Never for what I go write and have somebody clean it up and I get to sell my book. That's kind of an extreme example, but what in your life are you doing that's robbing you from being the best version of you? Stop doing it. That's what I'm talking about with number one. You guys liking this so far? Great point, Dean Rich. Glad you like it. Tina. Tina, thank you for sharing, Katie. Glad you're good to go, Deb. Great. Yeah, stop doing laundry. Would you get someone else to do your laundry? Go do something badass and make some money. All right, number two, revising what an extraordinary life means to you. He wrote on here that it's hard to hit a fuzzy target. What does an extraordinary life mean to you? Again, you've heard this, We've done the why, we've done all these exercises. Maybe you're new and this is great to have you here. If you're new, pleasure, honor, privilege to have you here. So it might be new and I got to be a reminder for some of you and share something new. But what does an extraordinary life mean to you? When's the last time you really defined success? Now, if I look at my life in my 20s, man, to go from a kid who lived in a trailer park, who lived in a bathroom with his dad. We didn't have heat in the rest of the house, just a little electric heater. Didn't have money for lunch. In my 20s to be able to buy a new car, be in my own house, jump on a plane and go to Cannes, France for the film festival because I saw it on TV and go there and have fun. And I partied with Sylvester Stallone, danced on tables till 5 o' clock in the morning, had the time of my life, flew back and went to Miami and did you know, all this crazy stuff that was kind of success at that phase of my life right now, success means to me that I do what I want, when I want to do it. I'm in control. I coach Little League, I coach softball. I take off at 3 o' clock every day that I feel like it to go pick my kids up from school and surprise them. Maybe we just go to Starbucks and do homework and have a green tea. Or maybe we just go home and throw the baseball around the backyard. Little different than dancing on a table with Sylvester Stallone till 5 o' clock in the morning with a bottle of, you know, booze around a table. I'm just being honest. But right now, to be able to do what I want when I want to do it. Yesterday, a friend of mine owns friend. Yesterday, a friend of mine shared. He owns a, like the top trout ranch in America in Idaho. Amazing guy. It's Randy Garn. Just love this guy. And he's been asking me for years to come. I mean, they have. I wish I could show you the pictures. Rainbow trout, brown Trout, like unbelievable. He's been asking me for years to come. So I go home, talk to the kids and I was like, we got to get up there. I'm showing them pictures like, dad, let's just go. But it's really hard to get to. Right? There's not an airport close. And time. We have baseball games and softball games and my work and the kids school and piano lessons and all this stuff. Right. So yesterday, and this is what I'm talking about of revising what you're. What, you know, your ideal extraordinary life looks like. I had to remind myself what an extraordinary life looks like. I did the. My. My last week. I had a tragedy happen in our family. And so I didn't sleep much, didn't work much. And then I had to prep for the Edge. And then we had the edge Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and then all day Monday for a mastermind. And I don't. If you guys hear, you know, I don't mess around. I don't show up unprepared. I don't show up. Just like, let me see what I'm gonna talk about. It's definitive. There's a purpose. There's a beginning, there's a middle, there's an end, there's. So then I got done with the edge and then literally went to bed late, late, late getting stuff done. Then from being out of pocket for a while, Tuesday and Wednesday were just slammed. Like, oh my God. But I just did it. Voice is still here. I'm not going to cry. Winners do it with headaches, right? And then today's booked. I had meetings all morning. Sorry, I was a little late, like a little scrambled by the time I got here. But I knew what I was doing. I studied this last night, knew exactly what I was going to say to you today. And then my kids are talking about going and I'm like, screw it. I was going to work Friday and then go to their games on Saturday. I'm saying this because what an extraordinary life means to me at this phase in my life. I know it definitively. It means seeing joy in my kids faces. Not just spoiling them, giving them money, giving them experiences. I feel like I'm not really that bonded with my son right now. I'll be completely transparent with you. He's nine years old. My daughter and I are like, boom. My son, we just, we've kind of been off and he's not like bonded with me and it kind of hurts my soul. I want to be there. So he talks to me and stuff. So I'm like, what would do it? I showed him the fish. Like, dad, let's just go. Said, the hell with it. I called, you got to fly to Jackson Hole, Wyoming and drive. There's no flights to get us up there. We're just going to go for the day on Saturday. There's no flights to get us there. I'm like, how do we get here? How do we get here? I said, screw it. I called, I chartered a jet. I got a jet picking us up 7:00 I. On Saturday morning. I mean, the jet cost $15,000. I'm not saying that to brag. I'm just saying I want to do what I want to do when I want to do it. I don't, I don't have 20 cars. I don't have 10 mansions. I don't wear a watch. I don't, I'm not trying to be. You don't see me on Instagram in front of my house, my pool. That's not me. I don't do this. I never even shared that. I do things like this. But guess what? I'm going to fly up there at six in the morning or seven in the morning, land, grab the fishing poles, go fish with my kids, spend the day of experience of. And I want to bond with my son. I'm going to help him fish. I'm going to be patient. And for me, man, I'm going to come home. I know how my heart will feel. I know how his heart will feel because him and dad have been off a little and he deserves that. Now. I don't say that to brag. I say that because that's what success means to me. I don't do elaborate things. I, I have massive companies, big. I buy houses. I, I don't, I reserve. I put money back into my company. That's just how I run. That's just how, that's how I roll, I should say, right? But I'm going to spend that money because there was no other choice. And this was one window where I could get up there because the, the trout farm has always got. I mean, yeah, Mitt Romney is there today. That's why we couldn't go on Friday, right? So it's, it's like that was the only day and get in, bam, I'm doing it. So I said all that and I hope you don't take it as, you know, I never dropped things like that. But that's what success means to me. That's what an extraordinary life means to me. Not going out and buying a hundred thousand dollar Rolex or a Lamborghini. And I don't, I'm zero judgment. Because if that's what success means to someone else, then damn right go out and do it. But what does it mean to you if you don't define it, how can you fight for it? If you don't understand it, if you can't experience it, if you can't visualize what an extraordinary life means to you, then what the hell are you working for? What are you working for? So I'm going to encourage you today to redefine what an extraordinary life means to you and focus on it and go freaking get it. Do you have obstacles in your way? Absolutely. Some of you watching right now have more worse really horrific things going on. I would bet to say absolutely. But have I seen miracles happen over and over? By being in this space when people know what they want and they just point their ship in that direction and absolutely. Okay, number four, set three month goal and go all in. Once reached, set an 18 month goal, that's even bigger. So I talked a lot in the beginning of the Edge about goals and how to set them and then how to take the action step to make it happen. So those that saw that, wonderful. Those don't, you don't need it right now. But the reason it's to set a three month goal and then a 12 or an 18 month goal is because we need proof of concept. Our subconscious needs to know this is right. And that's why I even like to break down goals even smaller. So there's plateaus of success, you see. Let's just say real estate. Now you might be watching. Never care about real estate. You've got millionaire success habits and you're just here for the success principles. That's why I hardly ever talk about real estate, because. But seriously, this is the foundation for all wealth, all happiness, all joy. This is where those of you are on right now. Realize that without the right habits, you could have a company that sells $100 bills for 10 bucks and still not succeed. You need the habits for success, but what you need to keep going is the plateaus of success. So let's just take real estate and say my goal is to do a fix and flip in the next 90 days and make $50,000. Is that realistic? Course the average fix and flip in America's got a $60,000 profit. So we're below the average. So say next 90 days, I want to buy a house, fix it up, have a team, flip it, make 50 grand realistic. Absolutely. But if you set that goal, it's kind of like all of it is at the end, right? So it's great to set that as a three month goal, but what I'm going to encourage you to do is to create plateaus of success. So you're like, wow, that worked. Wow, that worked. So set 10 or 20 milestones along the way. Say about, okay, I'm gonna look for investors that could buy this house when I'm done. You get investors on the list, cash buyers. You're like, wow, that's a win. That's a plateau of success. One blue ribbon. I'm gonna use unique marketing strategies that Dean taught us to find deals from little yellow ugly signs or yellow postcard or Facebook or Instagram or Zillow or Craigslist. And you, you find one deal, it's just a little bit cheaper than everybody else is paying. And it's not on the market. You just found yourself an off market deal. Plateau of success. Want to find a great real estate agent? Plateau of success. Want to overcome your fear of actually talking to a seller or buyer. Plateau. All these ribbons, all these blue ribbons make you go, wow. He said that was going to work and it did. He said, the relationship will get better. It started, said I could lose weight. It's the pounds are coming off. Don't say I. It's like setting a 20 pound. I want to lose 20 pounds in 90 days. No, celebrate the first pound. Give yourself a ribbon, a blue ribbon. It's plateaus of success, proof of concept. So set a three month goal. Get them. Then set another three month or set an 18 month goal. And see, along the way though, you want to see these little wins because here's what we don't do. We get 90 days down the road, the deal didn't happen or you lost 19 pounds instead of 25. You're like, I failed. No, you didn't. You learned so much along the way. You built the ground game. You built the research and development for your next level. Use that as fuel, not as a way to get disappointed and say, I didn't reach my goal. Screw that. That's how people think that don't want to pay their success tax. That's how people think who retreat and go back to the couch, or retreat and go back to the job that's killing them. Or retreat and go back to a relationship that's sucking the life out of you. Do you want to be them or do you want to be you? That's what I'm Talking about that's what setting goals the right way can do. All right, we doing good here? You guys liking this? Liberio, I see you in here. Just chatting it up, man. Love it. Okay, number five. Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional. Wow, you hear that one? Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional. Now I want to see something. Pain is a real confidence. Learn to struggle. Learn to honor the struggle. I love that. Don't expect joy. I want to cover something, I just don't want to cover it twice. So pain is inevitable. What does that mean? Things are going to go sideways. Things may not work. The relationship could end. The business deal could fall through. But that it could be painful. Suffering is a choice. You see pain and this was from Brendon Burchard. Pain is something we feel, all of us. Doesn't matter how much money you make. I've made all the money I could ever have dreamed of. I still feel pain on a regular basis, but I've chosen not to suffer. And the difference is pain is you want to experience it. Before when I was talking about something failing along your goals, you didn't reach it and it fails. It's kind of painful. I thought I was going to do a deal by now. It didn't. That's a little painful. But the suffering is when you go, I can't believe I did it. And the next day you think about your insecurities. The next day after that you think about why I didn't reach my goal. Next day after that you're like, now I'm stuck in a life that sucks the next day and the next day and two o' clock in the morning and three in the afternoon and lunch times. And all of a sudden the suffering begins. Pain is meant to teach us a lesson. Suffering cripples us. Now I don't have time to go through a whole process on how to stop suffering, but I can give you a little hack. Change your thoughts. Change the way you think about pain. Think of the lessons you can learn from it. Immediately train your brain to extract what valuable information, what research and development is coming from the pain so you never experience it again. So you can make it better for the next time. So you can use that as your fuel to blast off to your next level of life rather than the anchor that holds you back. So let's think about that. What pain have you gone through that has turned into suffering? It's the relationship where someone's unfaithful and you end a relationship that you thought was great. That is painful. Painful. I've seen it tear people apart. I know it personally from past experiences. But suffering is three years down the road and still saying, can't trust a man, can't trust a woman. They only want your money. They're never going to be faithful, Come up with these shitty stories that make you suffer and cripple you and stop you from a new relationship. It's the same thing when it comes to money. It's the same thing when it comes to business. What pain have you experienced in your past that you didn't process, that you didn't learn from? And now it's just this suffering mechanism that wakes you up, keeps you thinking. Is when you're, when you're alone in your thoughts, it pops up. It's like, hey, suffering here, let's spend some time together. It's like, no, screw you. I learned from that. I'm no longer suffering. Declare today, Decide today that suffering will end. Pain is a part of our life. The more pain you have that means the bigger you're playing the game. But we don't have to suffer. You have a choice. Real confidence is your belief in your ability to figure things out. Man, that is just such a. Think about that. Real confidence is your belief in your ability to figure things out. You see, when does lack of confidence come in? When does insecurity come in? Think about when you don't have options, okay? Think about that. Think about. You know, I'm going to pick a really hard topic again. This is all relating back to success. Habits for wealth, abundance, joy, whatever you want. But think about you. Go to the doctor. They say you have. Not something life threatening, but something really debilitating, you have, I don't know, Crohn's disease. Pick any disease. Now, if you went home, if you went home and said, I don't know what to do. I don't have anybody to talk to. I don't know what this disease means. Am I going to die from it? Can I get healthier? Can I get better? And you just didn't do anything. You didn't open a book. You didn't try to google it. You didn't call a friend, don't go see another doctor. You just sat home for two weeks thinking, what do I do? How does it get better? What food do I eat? I don't want to leave my kids. I don't leave my family or I want to start a family. I don't want to leave my parents. I don't want to leave this world. There's so much still to see. Does that rob your confidence? Because you're not figuring things out, you're just obsessing over it. Compared to a doctor, say you have XYZ disease and a moment you get off the phone, you find the expert in the world. Not all the crap you see on Yahoo. Questions of how is this disease? You're going to die, you're going to live, do this, do that, drink tea, take this. No, you find the best person in the world and you read everything on them and they say, oh, you have XYZ disease. This is what we figured out. This is the path, this is the plan, this is the hope, the person who does that because they had the ability to take the time to try to figure it out, all of a sudden you're alive, you got confidence, you're moving forward compared to just sitting there feeling hopeless. Where in your life do you need guidance? Do you need to grab the information? Do you need to have the belief that you could figure this out? Like you need to anchor into your soul if something goes wrong. I got this. If I lose all my money, I got this. The relationship ends, it'll suck, I got this. I get sick, that'll suck. I got this. When you start building that, you start building the grit, you start paying your success and life abundance tax. That's the difference of people who go, oh no, what do I do? Compared to no, I got this. It sucks. I don't like it, I don't want it, I'm not joyful, I have it, but damn it ain't gonna bring me down. Those are the ones who beat the disease. They're the ones that find the better relationship. They're the ones that make the money and their businesses thrive. So think about that again after I shared that real confidence is your belief and your ability to, to figure things out. Guess what? You can figure anything out. And we have access to so much information in today's world. Think of 20 years ago, what would you have done 30 years ago, what would you have done in any area? Now we could research, dive deep, find the best, read their articles. There's so much great content published for free. And then you have the opportunity to follow people that have already forged the path. Alright, number seven. Learn to honor the struggle. Train your brain to enjoy the things you may not want to do, but you know they're necessary. Learn to honor the struggle. What the hell does that mean? So there's a lot of different ways I could sell you on this, a lot of different ways. But let's think of it In a couple ways. Does going to the gym. You like going to the gym? I hate going to the gym, but I surely like the way I feel when I'm done with the gym. So I guess I honor the struggle of the gym because I'm like, bring it on. I want to feel good. I don't want my kids to think dad's washed up. I'm going to run faster than my kids until I'm 100. That's what I've definitively said to my kids. So I honor the struggle of working out because I like the way I feel when I'm done. Do I like the struggle of, you know, last week, and I'm not going to go too deep in it, but I lost my stepdad since I was nine years old. The week before edge. One o' clock in the morning, my mom called me. I just moved my mom here after 25 years of not living by her. I got him a condo. I set the whole thing up. They were here having the time of their lives. They've been together since, you know, been together for over 40 years. And I moved them here and they. They were having a really good time. And one o' clock in the morning, my mom called and my stepdad had a stroke. And it was really tough for four or five days. And he passed. And it's been really sad. And some of it I haven't even processed yet because that happened the next day was the edge, and it was just this struggle, right? But he taught me some amazing lessons throughout my entire life. He even taught me a great lesson in death that screw play in life. Small life comes really fast at all of us. And if we played life from the end, looking backwards, is there anything you wouldn't do? Do you want to go to your deathbed and say, oh, I'm glad I played small? I'm glad I said no. I'm glad I stayed in this terrible job that killed me. I'm glad I settled for an okay relationship. I'm glad I settled with not really seeing my kids. But, hey, that's the way life is. You think that's what you're going to say at the end? Hell, no. My stepdad last week gave me a newfound look at life. I'm looking from the end backwards. And when I'm on my deathbed and I'm looking around and the things are beeping and people around, I. I want to know who's there. I want to think about who's standing there. I want to know what they're saying about me, and I want to know. I want them to say, man, that guy squeezed the juice out of life. He left nothing on the table. When I hear someone say, you know, that guy had a lot of money and he spent it all and he died broke, I'm like, perfect timing. Let's do that with every bit of asset that we have. I don't want to die with a half a tank left of like, I coulda, shoulda, woulda. I wish. No, screw that. I've changed a lot, literally, in the last week because of my stepdad. I didn't mean to digress on that. And I wasn't even share that with you. I'm sharing it because if he gave me that lesson, then I get to share it with you. But the struggle of that was tough. But I look at that struggle as I can. I can be. Not that I'm not sad about it. That's my own way to process. But I can be crippled by it, or I can be like, no, my stepdad taught me a valuable lesson. Life can come to an end just like that. And I'm not going to settle for anything. I'm not living good anywhere. I want extraordinary in every area of my life. So I'm honoring that struggle. I'm honoring it. My mom's here. She hasn't been around me in 25 years. It's so sad for her that it's her best friend, the love of her life. That's a struggle. But I'm going to do everything in my power to bond with my mom in a way I never have before. I've missed her for 25 years. I have my mom a mile from here right now. Pick her up today, take her to dinner today, and be with her every day. I'm going to honor that struggle and find the best greatness I can out of something really tragic. I got done with that. Four or five days with zero sleep, being with my mom, trying to juggle for the edge. Go to the edge, rock the house up late, up early, you know, getting up. Struggle, struggle. Would I change any of that? Would I rather said, I wish I just played small? I wouldn't. That edge was so much work, so much energy. No, hell with that. The struggle of getting that done. Look at the results it produced. If you were at the edge, you wanted to say, if you were at the edge, you know exactly what we delivered there. The transformations. Oh, my God, there was a thousand people in that room that were completely transformed now. I mean, I saw your faces. That was worth Every bit of that struggle. So instead of us saying, I can't believe I got to go through that. What if it's just the success tax? If you don't do the struggle, you don't get the benefits. Then all of a sudden you go, wow, I get to honor this struggle because look who I'm going to be on the other side of this. Who can I become after this struggle? Who can I be? What new terrain can I navigate? So nothing gets me off again. So the things that bug other people are nothing to me. Like, literally, I drive down the street, somebody cuts you off. I'm like, I'm sorry. Like, they give you the finger, yell at you. I have so much empathy. I'm like, oh, God, I wish you had bigger problems than that. Somebody comes and trips, or like the littlest things. Ah, there's no ink in this pen. Or, my God, the Internet. Oh, my God, the phone's not working. The service here sucks. It's like, wow, I wish you had bigger problems. I wish you bigger problems. I wish you bigger struggles. Who gives a shit about your phone? Or somebody cut you off in traffic or there's no ink in the pen, or the Internet goes out, or you're working on a document and you lose it. Who cares? It means nothing. Raise your standards. Raise your struggle. Raise your pain. Make it so the little things mean nothing and the things that are important to you mean everything. Okay, number eight. Don't expect joy from experiences, but rather bring joy to every experience. Man, I'm going to repeat that again. Don't expect joy from experiences, but rather bring joy to every experience. Wow, that's something I want to do more of. How about you? Is that something you want to do more of? Think about that. Like, ah, I'm going to go do this today. I'll just do it. What if you just brought joy to the crappy things, but think about the other things. Think about, like, silly analogy, just come to my head. Like, you're going to a sporting event or a concert and you're like, man, I'm going to go there. I'm going to have fun when I'm there. I mean, the fun football game will bring me joy. It's like, no, no, I'm bringing joy to the football game. I'm going to watch my kids play a game or see my parents or I'm going to go see my family. I haven't seen them a while. Maybe if I go there, they'll make me feel good. No, screw that. Bring the joy to your Family. I'm going to create this new. I'm going to start this new job. Maybe this job will make me happy. No. Bring the joy and the happiness to the new job or to the new business. Don't wait for the outside world to bring you shit because they're not there to serve you. It's not everybody's responsibility to make you happy, to make you joyful. It is yours. Where does joy live? Can you go grab it for me? I'll wait here. Go in the other room and grab the box of joy or grab. Grab your happiness someplace it doesn't live in the outside world. That's the inner game. Joy and happiness lives in here and we can create it anytime we want. One of you forgotten that. That's your choice. When have you forgotten that? Joy happens when you want it. Happiness happens when you decide to be happy. When you're grateful for the things around you. Do you want to. Do you want to wait for the outside world to inspire you or do you want to inspire the outside world? You get to make that decision. Your choice. You decide. Okay. Enthusiasm number nine. Enthusiasm will always outweigh perfection. Well, I think I had a good example of that today. I got here today. Listen, I've been running and gunning, juggling a lot of things and I got here and things weren't set up only because my team's amazing, but most of them are gone. There's nobody in the office today. Like a lot of them are gone. So people that don't do it or were nice enough to try to set it up for me, I got here. Was it perfect? I. I had the mic on when I started and then when I started, they switched it the other way. There was no mic. It went all. But what if all of that was perfect? What if exactly at 11 o' clock Pacific standard Time today, everything went on perfectly? The audio wasn't messed up. I couldn't. My sheet of paper where I had all my notes was right in front of me. This wasn't here when I got here. So I could see your comments. What if that was all perfect? What if it was all perfect but then I got here and said, hello, everybody. It's really glad. I'm really glad that you're here with me today. And today I'm going to cover 10 things that I think can really impact your life. Thanks for joining me. Here you go. Here's number one. Would you give a crap? You would have been done. There would have been four people on here and there would have been four People that just felt bad for me because you would tell that I'm not enthusiastic about. I'm not excited. It doesn't motivate me. Listen, I don't articulate well. I don't have a vast vocabulary, I don't, I don't have a great education, I can't spell. But you know what overcame all of that? Not perfection. Stop waiting for everything to be perfect. Stop waiting for the perfect inspiration, the perfect opportunity, the perfect time when your spouse, your friends and family support you, the perfect president, the perfect economy, the perfect weather, the perfect time of year. Perfect when your kids are a certain age, or maybe perfect when you have kids or you're going to have the perfect spouse who will support you. Never going to be perfect. We wait for perfection when really what it takes is enthusiasm. Enthusiasm will outweigh perfection every single time. You could prove me wrong. Maybe there's a rare instance, but for me, enthusiasm will always outweigh perfection. So how do you get enthusiasm to go deep on what it is you want to do? And how can you inspire other people, even if you want to be inspirational to enthusiastic to inspire other people to smile, inspire other people to be. Treat you better. Listen, we're nothing more than mirrors. I mean how we, what we put out is what we get. We reflect. Listen, when I go into a company and I deal with people and I deal with low management, middle management, I don't have any of that in my companies. We're just a big family, we have no titles. But when companies have titles and I go and the, the, the front desk girl is a little grumpy, a little rude, little standoffish and then I go have a meeting with mid level people and they're a little, eh. By the time I get to the boss or the owner, I already know, I already know what kind of person it's going to be. I already know that it's that whole company took on the personality of the owner, the personnel of the guy or woman that runs it. That's just the way it is. Are you walking a company? It's like, hey, what's going on? Yeah, we got you, no problem. You got that wrong. Who cares? We got that here. I already know when I meet the person that owns or runs the company, I'm going to love them because that's just the way it is. Enthusiasm will, will always outweigh everything else. You want to deal with people who are enthusiastic because you feel like they're on a mission, they got something bigger, you want what they have and it's not fake. I don't do this. I'm not trying to be animated. So you go. I don't know what I do with my hands. They move non stop. If I put my hands. I don't even know if I could talk. Maybe that's because I'm Italian, but I don't do this, I don't plan it. What I think in my head is like, I'm here to serve you. I don't care. I think this is the cheapest monthly training that exists. Everybody and your brother should be in this. But I don't think how much are they paying? How excited should I be? Which I know you put your faith in me. There's a million other things you could be doing right now. A million. You're spending it with me. I'm not going to screw around with that. I'm going to be the best of me. It excites me that right now somebody listening, maybe more than one of you is going to get one thing from this today that's going to shift your life. One thing. I'm doing 10. If just one thing shifts your life, then how can I not be enthusiastic? How can you find something like that? And even if your job sucks that you're doing right now, how can you find a way to be enthusiastic knowing it's just a stepping stone to your next level of life? If your relationship isn't good, how can you be enthusiastic to make it better, to improve it or maybe end something if it's really bad? Enthusiasm will is a cure and it's contagious and you bring everybody else up around you. Be the mirror, be the person you want the rest of the world to be. You know how change starts. Everybody wants to say if they would do this, if this religion would change, if the liberals would be different, if the conservatives would stop. If you want to be, you want to make it. It's really simple. Be the best version of you want to change the world starts with you. We can make a lot of change if people would just look in the mirror rather than pointing fingers. Last number 10. I'm obligated to make money. Think about that. You're. I'm obligated to make money. This morning a dear friend of mine, Ricky, who I've had been friends with fourth grade, is still here with me. He still lives in New York, came out and spent a week with me and he was talking about after the event, I was talking about if you know how to make money, if you have the desire, if you're watching me go make a shit ton of it. Just lack of a better word. Be greedy on how much you make it, then give it all away. Give it all away. Like if that's what makes you happy. Like when somebody says money doesn't buy happiness. I said, you haven't made enough and you haven't given enough away. And I don't know about you, but money buys me happiness all the time. If I'm hungry, I go to a nice restaurant, made me happy. If I want to work out and I'm a little lazy, I cut a check for a personal trainer, kicks my butt, makes me happy with the way I look when I'm done, when I want to buy my kids something because it makes me feel good happy when I want to cut a check. And at the Edge event, we, by the way, we broke 2 million meals. We had a fundraiser and I met the money. Tony Robbins matched the money. We just, at the Edge vent alone, we're providing 2 million meals through feeding America. That makes me Damn happy that 2 million meals are going to be provided to people who can't afford it. Are you kidding me? Money doesn't buy happiness. You haven't made enough of it. You haven't given enough away. And when I say you're obligated to make money, then think of it in a way that if you're an earner, you know how to get there and do it, then I think that's the unique ability you were given. Go maximize that and help other people. My buddy Ricky that I was talking about has this big farm, and every year he grows like $8,000 worth of vegetables and he gives them to a local charity. I mean, the guy's out there spending so much time working, which is amazing, that he does that. And I said, we were talking this morning, he goes, God, I never looked at it the way you said it at the event that you're obligated to make money and make sure you put your time towards the things that make you money because you can make an bigger impact. I said, you know, you can go to a soup kitchen and work there for a week, which is amazing. Everybody should do it. Or you can go to that same soup kitchen and hand them a check for 50 grand. What would make a bigger impact? If you're an earner, go do that.
