You bring in people with the right values, nothing will allow you to grow in here and with this than what I'm sharing with you today. Welcome to the Dean Graziosi show. All success starts right here. You can't get to your next level, the level of life that I'm sure you want, or you wouldn't be here without bringing new people into your life. Whether that's a relationship, whether that's a partnership, whether that's employees, whether that's strategic alliances and partnerships, you can't go at it alone. To get to the level I'm sure you crave. How are you going to bring those people in? I'm telling you, after over a billion dollars in sales and revenue with my brands and my companies, after monumental mistakes, after some incredible accomplishments, after being an entrepreneur for 33 years, I'm telling you, you spend time understanding the values of that person you need sitting next to you, and then you look internally, understand your values. You bring in people with the right values. Nothing will allow you to grow in here and with this than what I'm sharing with you today. If you. If it's not time for you to bring people in your life, remember what we're sharing today and come back and visit this. Tag it. Remember the name of this. Remember the date of this training, because this training is a game changer. Now, I want to share some of the values that I used. I went through an exercise. Okay, questions, go ahead. Start putting a cue with the questions. If they go really quick, I'll do my best to go back and look at them. But I want to share when I was hiring, when I was hiring, some of the values that I wrote down when it was looking through the eyes of who I wanted around me. And this. I wrote this. I think I wrote this two and a half years ago. Number one, hungry for achievement. You might want to steal some of these and write them down. Number one, hungry for achievement. I need somebody who's just hungry for the next level. They want to grow. They're not just looking for a job. Not looking for. I mean, there are some people that would be happy if you paid them 60 grand a year to sit in a chair and stare at a field to make sure rabbits didn't eat the lettuce. 60 grand a year to sit and watch rabbits. Hell, yes, I'll take it. Not the person I want. I want someone to go, no, I'll sit here and watch it. If I could run the farm or maybe own that field someday, that's what I want. Hungry for next level. Not hungry for complacency, not hungry for a paycheck. I want someone hungry for achievement. Think of those words. Somebody hungry to achieve. Not hungry to just get the job done and do what I have to do to get my paycheck. Okay. Another one was, whatever it takes. I want someone. I'll get back to these. I want someone who will do whatever it takes. I'm not talking about working weekends and nights, even though I want that sometimes. But someone is like, all right, it broke. I'm gonna fix it. I'm gonna find a solution. I'm gonna keep going, do whatever it takes. Not, I tried it, it failed. I'm done. I. Hey, I did what I could, but Johnny and Sally, they didn't do what they were supposed to do, and we couldn't accomplish this. So it's not my fault. Oh, I just said that I annoyed you just now saying it. So if you ever said that, don't do that shit ever again. Throw that out. Stop. You wouldn't work here, and you won't be successful. Do whatever it takes. If people around you are incompetent, the world will notice that you're competent. Okay? I want somebody who's enthusiastic and quietly competitive. I don't want somebody. I don't mean hyper, like, hey, look at me. I'm talking about enthusiasm, like, coming from, like, I got this drive. I want a quiet competitor. Not like, oh, yeah, I'm winning. More like, oh, yeah, I got this. And even if you're competitive with yourself, even if you're competitive with yourself, like I used to. I just did it for the first time in a year. Camelback Mountain is right behind my house, and I used to run it three days a week. And every time I went up, as soon as I entered the trailhead, I'd look at my time. Like, 25 minutes is what I did last time. Gotta beat it, man. I started at 45, got all the way down to 25 minutes. Man, I couldn't beat 25. I think I may have lied a little bit to myself. I think I did 24 once, but, man, I was quietly competitive with me. I wanted to be a better version of me. I want to beat that now that I went the other day. I went. I'm back to, like, 40 minutes. So sad, because I haven't done it in a year, but I'm breaking 25. I just. I committed to it and I'm doing it. So I'm going to be competitive with me, the guy in the mirror, always working on personal growth. I'm not hiring anyone who doesn't work on their personal growth. Just not happening. If I bring up, you know, what we're talking about today and like, eh, I don't need that. You don't need this job. Don't need to be in a relationship. You wouldn't be my partner. I wouldn't start a new company with you. Just ain't happening. We talk different languages. You talk Spanish or Latin. I talk English. Wayne, it's not working. I need someone who's a team player. I shared that before. I don't want somebody that's all about significance and what's my badge? It's like, no, you need to be a team player. You need to look out for the people around you. You do that, you can be on this team. I need somebody that wants it like they want it. They want that next level like they see it. They, they don't just talk about it. Like you could see in their eyes that they get it, that they want it and they want to learn and gain the new capabilities to go to that next level. Now there's just a few that I used to hire people, the best employees of my life. So that's my message for today. I used to think it was the tool the write the book, do the real estate deal, build the course, start the company, create the restaurant. Then I realized, ooh, none of that works without going upstream to develop the habits for success. That's why I wrote a habits book. So it's one of the best selling books on the planet right now. But now, not that I just realized, but I know none of those habits will stick without really knowing your values and anchoring them in. And I have to tell you, there may be some values that some things that you do that compromise your values. I know I did. It's okay. Once you write them down, you can say, you know what? That's not my values. I'm going to work on never doing that again, never lying again, never being unfaithful again, never being deceitful again, never talking to homeless people that way, never compromising my ethics. Whatever it is you got to do, get aligned with your values.
