Hey everybody. Dean Graziosi, welcome to the Weekly Wisdom. First off, three weeks ago I said send in your home video, film it on your phone, film it on your a little flip camera, whatever it is. The instructions are below. You can click the link below, film a video of how these weekly wisdoms or any wisdom that I've shared with you has helped transform your life. Doesn't have to be real estate. Is there anything I've done in the personal development, self development, Something inspired you, empowered you, made you overcome an obstacle or get rid of a limiting belief that was holding you back, or you started addressing life with more confidence? I don't know. If there's something I've done I'd love to share, have you share it with me on a video and send it in again. The link is below because I'm writing a personal development book and I'm going to do a personal development TV show and I'd love to include your story, but I only know it is if you share it on video. But here's the thing. I said I was going to run a week, a month long contest that the winner, if you just send in your video, your name will go in a hat and one of you will win an iPhone 6 and we'll take all the videos and clean them up. And the winner, the best video sent in, the most creative, the one, the person who took the time and did a great video will win $2,500 in cash that you could do whatever you want with. So there's only a week left. So hurry up, film your video. So many of you sent in the first day and said, dean, you changed so much in my life. You left this great post, said I'm going to do a video and we never got your video. Well, time tick tock, time is ticking. So do the video this week and I can't wait to see it. The ones we've got so far, thank you so much. They are amazing. Someone even wrote me a song. Pretty fantastic. So thank you. All right, what I want to talk about today is how about something as simple as a smile? You know, I've been studying so many different people and books in life, but one thing I got obsessed with in the last couple weeks is people, people's physical appearance. Now I gotta ask you something. If I showed you a picture or let's just say you and I were standing together on a corner and there was coffee shops and stores and restaurants on the other side of the street and we looked over and I pointed somebody out who's kind of just sitting there with a frown, eyes down, shoulders dropped. If I said, what do you think the attributes of that person are? In a second, you would give me, well, they look lazy or they look sad. They look depressed. They. If I said, you think they're making a lot of money, you might go, no, I don't think so. You think they got a great relationship? No. So what are the attributes of somebody who looks at the glass half empty, who has a frown, who has kind of a scowl? Life has kind of beat them up a little bit, right? And they feel the world is against them? Do you think life made that happen and made them frown, or did they frown and then created that life form? I don't know what came first, the chicken or the egg, right? But here's what I know is if we were standing on that same street corner, we looked over, and you saw somebody with just a great smile, and they were vibrant, and they said hi to the waitress with a smile, and they waved to someone going by when they got their food, they were grateful and they had this smile. If I said to you, how do you think they are in their work as a spouse, as a father in life? I bet you would give completely different comments. And you know why? Because our subconscious is like a computer that's been absorbing all. All these different things that the world has given us, like a hard drive and our subconscious. You know, when you get a gut feeling, A gut feeling is just your subconscious. With so much data, your gut knows in seconds, when you see that one person, your gut tells you what you think they are, and your gut tells you what the other person is. So I looked online and just googled the benefits of nothing else. Not changing your state, not going deep, not practicing gratitude. What about just a smile? Okay, Online from professors and all these studies, Smiles can boost your immune system. Forcing yourself to smile. Even forcing not just a relaxed smile. Forcing yourself to smile can immediately change your mood. Smiles are contagious. You make other people happy. Smiles are proven to relieve stress. Proven because your body feels the smile and it triggers your brain to say, hey, everything must be okay. Even. Even if it's not, your body thinks it is because of the smile. Smiling helps you get promoted. It's a fact that people get better jobs because they smile. Smiling has been proven to lower your blood pressure. Smiling releases endorphins and natural painkillers. Professor Jane Plant says smiling is a way of tricking your brain into thinking that everything is okay. I know I said that, but this is written from A doctor from her studies. Here's another study that says why we're so happy around children is because they smile about 400 times a day, while the happiest adult only smiles 40 to 50 times a day. The average in the US is only 20. So when you look and there's more on this list, but I won't go on. What I'm trying to say today is what if you just took this week and forced yourself to smile more? Even when things go wrong, even when you order change chicken and they bring you a well done steak. Smile when you ask for a coffee and it comes out too hot or too cold or they use soy milk instead of regular milk. Smile when your spouse says something to you that you know, maybe agitates you. What about smiling? How much would that cure? What about when your kids or your grandchildren asks you something? Even if you're having the worst day possible and things are just not happening and the bills aren't getting paid and you wish something was working better, what if you just smiled? Just do me that favor this week. Try to smile and see if other things become easier in life. See if it becomes addictive to other people. The people you love. What if they start smiling more? What if it just eases that worry a little bit? Smiling is huge. Let's do that this week. I think that's a great lesson. And don't forget, send in your video. This is the last week to win an iPhone. Win 2,500 bucks. Plus I'd love to see how these weekly wisdoms and how I possibly have transformed or help just spark a change in your life because I'd love to use you in my book or my new TV show. I'm Dean Graziosi. I'll talk to you next week.
