The 3 “M’s” That Fuel Success
3 May 2021 · 0 min
Dean Graziosi breaks down three elements for business success: mindset to overcome obstacles, marketing to actively promote instead of hoping for virality, and momentum through replicable systems. He went from $1,000 a week to over $1B in revenue and warns against stopping at product completion without distribution.
If you have the right mindset, then you overcome the obstacles. If you have the right marketing strategies, then you get your product, your service, your company in their hands.
Welcome to the Dean Graziosi Show. All success starts right here.
When I look back in my career and overcoming obstacles and finding the solutions and being blessed to go over a billion dollars in revenue and sales with my companies and my brands when I never thought I'd get past $1,000 a week, when I look, there's three things that really change it. The three M's. It's mindset, marketing, and momentum. I don't care if you're just starting. I don't care if you're opting out, like some of you, out of a career that you're done with or don't want to do it anymore and you're starting something new. You want to fuel the business you have. You're just starting from the bottom because things went sideways and you're ready to get back. Without mindset, without marketing, and without the strategies for scale and momentum, you can't get to that next level. Had these debates with people over tactics or mindset. And for me, it's like somebody says, yeah, you give someone the right tactics, they can go execute. Is that true? Hell, no. It's like you can give somebody the tactics on how to invest in real estate. You can give them the tactics on how to promote online or build their own personal brand or take their Instagram account to another level. But if they have a husband or a wife or a spouse that doesn't support them or they're overwhelmed or they get, you know, frazzled easily, if they don't have the mindset, what will allow them to. What will make them turn around and kind of play a little small or just dabble is not having the right strategies to overcome those obstacles and plow through. So. But when you have an anchored foundation of mindset, like, I know this is going to be tough, and I know my emotions are going to screw me. I know my body's going to want to go towards what's comfortable. I know I'm going to have people from the outside telling me I'm crazy. I'm going to hit major obstacles. I'm going to start thinking, wow, my life's good enough. Why do I want to go for more? I should be happy with what I got. Anybody ever say that to themselves? Yeah. How's that feeling? After about a year when you look back and you know you're not right? So we know we need a mindset but you could have the greatest mindset in the world. And if you don't have the right marketing strategies, then you live into that world which most people are delusion to believe is that if I build something amazing, they will come and they will never come. I don't care how amazing it is. Once in a blue moon, one out of a million, somebody creates something like a fidget spinner and it goes viral. And you go, I'm just gonna create the book that's like a fidget spinner. It'll go viral. And you spend three years writing this amazing book or building your brand and you're like, it's done. And you celebrate. It's like, no, don't celebrate because you haven't sold one yet, right? What's that crazy statistic that 95% of all books in Barnes and Noble have not sold over a thousand copies, Right? How much time, effort, energy, passion, soul, heart went into those books? And they go, I'm done. And they celebrate with their friends and they go to dinner and they have a glass of wine and they buy too expensive a bottle of wine because they know they got their book and they're going to make millions and impact the world. And then they get their first weekly report and they sold five copies. So the whole point is, if you have the right mindset, then you overcome the obstacles. If you have the right marketing strategies, then you get your product, your service, your company in their hands. And then the last thing is, you guys don't want to craft and build another job. We want to build something that's replicatable, that has SOPs and standing operating procedures and, you know, your KPIs. It doesn't matter where you are, it matters where you want to go. And foundationally, if we could give you three things to fuel that. It's the right mindset to knock it off track. It's the right mindset so you stop dabbling. It's the right mindset so you don't question yourself. It's the right mindset so when people put landmines around you, you know how to navigate around them. And then once you have that, it's like, how do I market this? How do I put marketing as important, if not more important than any other part of my business?
