The second biggest thing I've learned from my dear friend Tony Robbins were the three steps to create sustainable, long term, ongoing, abundant success and joy in your life. Welcome to the Dean Graziosi show. All success starts right here. Hey, it's Dean Graziosi and welcome to my podcast. It's a privilege and a pleasure to have you here. This is where we go upstream and anchor in the foundation of for success abundance you 2.0. And today I want to talk about the second greatest thing I learned from my dear friend Tony Robbins. It was three pieces. Three simple. Well, they're going to seem simple, but they're really the core for change. Because how many times in your life have you tried something, you wanted it, you desired it, you wanted to get that better body. You started it, but it kind of faded away. You want to take your relationship to another level. It worked for a little while, but then you fell back into a pattern or a routine or you wanted to start that business or scale the business you have. And for some reason you just fell back. And today I'm coming to you from Puerto Rico, sitting next to the beach. Before I start my last day of a mastermind, I'm here doing what an incredible experience. If you're not following my ig, check it out. You'll see who I'm here with. Some amazing people. But let's get back to these three things that can make lasting transformation in your life. Number one is total immersion. Don't dabble. Listen. If you buy the course, obsess on the course, go through the course. If you're going to a training, if you're going to a live event, if you're attending a mastermind, if you read the book, don't dabble. And read two pages a day. Immerse yourself, Jump in. Let's just take this as an example. How many of you listening right now took a language in high school or college? If you're in a room, I bet to say about 90% of you would raise your hand. Now here's the second part. How many of you actually speak that language? Most of you. Not usually. Five hands go up in a room of 10,000 people. What happened is we dabbled on a weekly basis with a teacher learning two or three words. We didn't have total immersion to break through to change a habit, to make a difference in your life. Think about this. My wife's family is from Mexico. She wasn't born there, but her parents are from Mexico. Right? Say you wanted to speak Spanish and we just took you and put you in a remote village in Mexico where not a human being spoke English or spoke whatever language is your primary language. If you were there for one month, that is complete immersion. There is zero doubts. You would learn how to ask for food, go to the bathroom, hi. If you were single, you'd learn how to talk to a guy, learn how to talk to a girl. If you love kids, you learn how to tell them they're cute and they appreciate you. You learn how to say yes or no. If you were there a little longer, you could speak that language, because you have no choice. You're burning the boats. It's complete and utter total immersion. So when you're ready to learn something, the new business, there's no reason to do it through trial and error. Not a lot of reason to go back to traditional education. Sometimes it takes years. Immerse yourself. Find somebody who's already been doing it. Find a course, a book, there's treasures in all of that. And immerse yourself. So number one, immersion, Number two is the ongoing support. Now here's another example. How many of you learned a language? Maybe you went to a different country for a month or three, or you were on a mission, or you went and you learned the language and you loved to be able to communicate. I always dreamed of speaking a different language. In fact, when I went to Italy to see my family for the first time about eight years ago, I obsessed on Italian lessons for about two months. And I got there and a week later, I felt like I was really understanding them and saying some cool words. But guess what happened? I did the immersion. But when I got home, I didn't practice. And guess what? Within a month, I couldn't remember one word. And how many is that? How many times that happened to you guys? I used to speak Spanish, I used to speak French because I spent a month there, but it's gone. Because you had the immersion, but you missed the second step, the ongoing support, right? We need to be. We need to stay in the game. If you want to be in good shape, fit, physically, can you go to the gym for a weekend and then go to the gym for a weekend and then hope to be in great shape for the rest of your life, could you go to the gym for a month and hope to be in great shape for the rest of your life? Hell no. You got to go to the gym on a regular basis, right? If you want to eat healthy and decide to go plant based, can you go plant based and eat healthier for 30 days and then be Healthier forever. No, you need ongoing support. Someone to hold your hand, someone to guide you to, someone to point you in the right direction when you get off track. So think in your life if you want to make a change in your economy, at your home, the income, the impact you have on the world, what you do for a living, getting a promotion, if it's a career, starting or scaling your own thing. How do you get the immersion? Burn the boats, but how do you get the ongoing support so you don't slip into old habits? And the last thing Tony taught me, and he tells these stories so elegantly. I remember watching him on stage just telling these stories, and he makes them funny and hysterical. This time, on how he learned to play polo. I'll tell that story in a minute. But the third part is learning from people who've already been there so many times. We're taking advice from our single friend about our relationship, our broke friend, about our new business, and subconsciously, that stuff is sticking to your ribs. It is holding you back. You need to find somebody who's already been there, broken down the walls, failed miserably, came out on the other side, and now have the opportunity to share with you that journey so you can condense a decade into a month so you could start off where they left off. Tony tells this incredible story. When he wanted to play polo, he's like, I didn't want to mess around, so I found somebody who was one of the best polo players in the world, and I went and took lessons. And he tells a stunning story. Hysterical. You know how big Tony is. If you don't know Tony, Google him. But he's, you know, six, seven, huge man. Like, you know, anyway, he gets there and they, they. He never really rode horses much, so they put him on a smaller horse. And he said when he stepped over the horse, his feet hit the ground. I can just visualize this poor little horse saying, what are you doing? But he said, that little. That little horse was so fast, it had him going crazy. And for some reason, it makes me laugh because I can picture this fast little horse, Tony, holding on for dear life. But the point of the story was he learned how to play polo in a short period of time because he immersed himself over a weekend with a professional who's already been there. And then he took lessons every week, ongoing. If he would have just taken a weekend lesson, it wouldn't work. So that's my lesson, that's my message, that's my teaching for this podcast. If you want sustainable success, sustainable change, if you want to finally stop procrastinating, scale that business. Find someone who's already been there. You want to impact the world? Find someone who's already been there. Immerse yourself with their course, their training, their event, and then get the ongoing support so you don't slip back into old habits. As simple as that sounds, those three steps are the foundation for transformation. And I'm so excited Tony Robbins and I are going live. Our once a year training. It's on February 27th.
