Go to deanstraining.com welcome to the Dean Grazios Show. All success starts right here. Welcome to the Dean Graziosi Show. Whether you are listening or watching, this is where we go upstream to anchor in the foundations for success to create sustainable wealth, abundance, joy, happiness in your life. We all know the magical money machines, they don't last. When you dabble, it doesn't work. When negative voices, negative people, the outside influences hold you back. We live a life that we end up regretting because we didn't play full out. And I'm not going to allow that. And especially this week, if you're listening to this podcast, fresh and new, or you're watching this video, this is only days away from my dear friend and I, Tony Robbins, going live once again. We only do it once a year to rock the world, to shake you, to wake you up to the opportunity, to the potential of living your best self, to doing something meaningful in your life, doing something that's impactful, while simultaneously you have the ability to create next level success, abundance, joy and happiness in your life. We're so excited, but today I want to talk about perspective and your goals as we head through this year. How do we get back in touch with what we really want? How do we make sure 2020 isn't a year of regret, a year of missing out, a year of untapped pot? We have so many things, so many assets at our fingertips. We are alive during the greatest time in history. Whether you believe it or not, this is the time to shine. If you're not making it work now, what are you going to do when the economy turns, and it eventually will, but we're here right now. Things are thriving all around the world. Things are growing. And I want you to stretch your perspective. So what does that mean, your perspective? You know, I think as kids we have this ability to dream, right? The world didn't tell us no enough. You know, remember when you were a kid and someone said, oh, you're a dreamer or you fantasized about playing in the majors or changing the world or doing all these cool things. What happened? Our perspectives start to shrink from outside influences. You know, teachers doing it in what they believe was a meaningful way said, oh, that's not really your realm of possibilities, but this might work for you. And then maybe parents who maybe had a rough time in their lives or they had a certain path in their lives that their parents taught them said, oh, you know, doing that, being an actor, being in a band, playing guitar, you know, being an online marketer, being in the, in this, that or the other, that's not kind of in the cards for you. I think this path is good. And when we're young, we're naive and we're like, and I'm saying naive in a good way. We're naive and go, no, I want it. But sometimes, actually most times, our perspective shrinks. We start dialing back our goals, start dialing back our dreams. And some crazy. In some crazy world, that's when people start telling us, oh, you're finally growing up, you're maturing. That's what I'm talking about. We get kudos for dialing back our dreams. We get kudos for setting smaller goals. We get kudos for creating a new perspective on who we can become. I think that's the saddest thing in the world. But for some reason, that's the way we're designed. But you're not, because you're listening to me right now. You're here. If you were satisfied with the level of life you were at, you'd be doing something else. You'd be watching the Kardashians, not being rude. I don't know the Kardashians. But you're here. You're gaining self education. You're gaining knowledge. You want to stretch your mind. So what about stretching your perspective of what's possible in 2020? What if you get disturbed with inaction right now, listening to me, talking to us while we're here together? What if you get disturbed with where your life's at? Because here's what I know, doesn't matter where you are. Life is fulfilling when we're growing. Life is fulfilling when we're contributing. Life is fulfilling when we're climbing, not sliding. And when you try to stay level, when you try to say life's okay, life's good. It doesn't stay good, you start to slide. So what if we can stretch our dreams? What if we could stretch our goals? What if we could Revisit that naive 18 year old or 16 year old version of yourself, when you thought there was no limits, before the world told you no, before you got real, before you got the mortgage and the house payment, before you got the job where your boss makes you feel inferior or you started a business that became another job, like, when can we go back and find that real you? When can we dust off the crap? When can I shake you so much that the skin that has been created on the outside falls off and we get to see you for the first time in a long time. I want to disturb you at this very minute. I want to engage you in the opportunity and possibility of a bigger, better you. Listen, we all have our journeys, we all have our paths. Some of you are watching or listening with your backs against the wall. Some of you, life's okay, it's not miserable. Just, you know, there's more. You're ready and you know you must transition into something different, something new, something bigger, something that fills your soul and potentially could fill your success and your abundance at the same time. Some of you have a business that's doing fantastic, but you still know you're missing something. Maybe you want to scale that business or you know that your heart was meant for something different and it's time to do an alternative, a side project, a new business or maybe let the old one go. And that's why I want to make this a call to action today. So those of you listening obviously can't see. So I'll walk you through, But I have 220 goal mapping sheet in front of me. It's one Tony Robbins uses and shares with his family, with his tribe, with his students. And it's so simple. But I think it's a perfect time to revisit this if we're going to take our perspective back up. If we're going to be a little naive on where we could go, if we're going to tap into our full potential, if we're going to have no limits on where we can go, then it's time to reset some goals really quick, down and dirty and then stare at them every single day for the rest of the year. Real quick. Tony wants you to look at goals in three categories, personal growth and contribution. Because he knows without those two, if you don't have those on your goal sheet, if you don't have your goal of where you want your personal growth and where you want your contribution to go, then what are you really setting the intention for? Right? The byproduct of growth, the byproduct of contribution ends up being More abundance, more revenue, more income, more success. You see, I had that wrong when I first started. The more you could see yourself growing. Think about this. Lot of people who at lotto get millions of bucks, but they don't have a millionaire mindset. And what happens? They go broke. People who start a business and their knowledge grows into wisdom as they grow their income, then all of a sudden they merge. And that's sustainable. So growth and contribution should be on your goal sheet. Number two is achievements and experiences. What do you want to achieve from your health, your life, your income, your abundance, your joy, the love in your life, the relationship with your children? What about your experiences? What do you want to do? Where do you want to go? What do you want to learn? Right. It's time to listen. I want to wake you up right now again. Tony and I are going live in just a few days from when you're listening to this. Maybe a week, 10 days, few days, depending. When you listen to this, it's once a year. We're going to light up the world. Last year we had over 200,000 people attend. I want to get you in the right frame of mind before you attend. I want you to have your mindset ready. I want your perspective through the roof. I want your goals in front of you. I want you to start saying no to all the crap that doesn't serve your goals, doesn't serve the next level of you. Listen, come on, it's 2020. It's a new decade. New decade. Life is going by too fast for you to waste time. To waste time being the old version of you when there's a new one waiting for you. So think about what are the achievements you want for the rest of this year? What are the experiences you want? The third one is financial freedom and rewards. What does that look like for you? And I look at it now, Tony would share this in his way, but I look at financial freedom, that's easy. I'll go back to that. But rewards to me, what can you do this year that helps you along the journey of financial freedom, while the same time rewards your soul, rewards your heart, impacts other people, it's meaningful. You serve others. I mean, think about that. Out of all the things you can do in the world, what can align with your heart and your soul and still create abundance? That's one of the main topics Tony and I are talking about. Live. How do you help other people and enter an industry that's one of the fastest growing industries in the world? I just want you to think about this. We've put too many guardrails up in our life. We've shrunk our perspective. We've gotten real. And that's not going to serve you. It won't serve any of us. At the end of our lives, we look back and go, I'm glad I got real. I'm glad I had a small perspective on where I could go. I'm glad I shrunk my goals. You will never say that. Not once out of a million times. You will say, damn it, I wish I could do this over. Give me another shot. I'd rather try and fail. Let me go. After that. It wasn't like this is the moment right now as you're listening. So when Tony goes through those, then he talks about everything around you in your life right now. Once started out as a thought, do you know what successful people do? Do you know what entrepreneurs do? They make stuff up and then they make it real. A lot of people make stuff up. A lot of people dream. But they're not willing to set the goals. They're not willing to attend the live training. They're not willing to cut out time in their life. They're not willing to give up the partying or the wasted time or the negative friends. They're not willing to do that. But they're also not willing to settle. So it's like this quagmire. It's like this conflict that's going on. Like, I don't want to settle for this life, but I also want to give up these other things that are convenient or a habit. We have to make hard choices because successful people and entrepreneurs, they make stuff up and then they make it real. Create your compelling future. Build your life. Build the life of your dreams. If you don't know where you're driving, does GPS work? If GPS gave you a starting point but no destination, you're just driving down back roads. I don't care if you're in a Ferrari going a million miles an hour. I know that's not real 100 miles an hour. But if you have no destination to stare at, you just get lost on the back roads. How many of you right this moment are a little lost because you didn't identify your compelling future and then stare at it every day to where you want to go. You want to make impact and have next level abundance. What does that look like? Write it down. Stare at it. You want love at the next level, you want to light up your marriage or attract the right person, you have to write that compelling future you want to be in better shape. You have to write what that looks like, how you'll feel, how you run, how you climb a mountain, how you lift the weights. And then you have to create the compelling future. You have to stare at it and focus on it and say no to all the shit that messes the relationship up. Doesn't allow you to make the money, doesn't allow you to look amazing. I'm not trying to oversimplify. And then the last thing is, you got to put yourself in a peak state. Listen, right now, I'm talking to you on camera, on audio. I am in peak state because I want to serve you. I could get myself in this frame of mind, in this abundant mindset, with authenticity and enthusiasm, because I'm in a peak state. You don't want to write your goals, say, yeah, I want to lose that weight. Yeah, I'd love to make an impact. And income. But you know this. No, that's not going to work. So with that in mind, the next thing is writing down your goals for each of those categories. What's Goal 1 through 3 when it comes to personal growth and contribution? What's goal one through three in achievements and experiences? You can listen to this audio, watch this video 10 times. Doesn't matter, right? What is your top three goals for financial freedom and rewards? What does that look like? And then, couple quick things. Why is that goal important to you? I didn't say anything else. Why in your soul, what emotions are you going to feel? And attach an emotion to that goal, that goal will become your reality. And the next thing is, what are the three action steps you can make to commit yourself to accomplishing that goal? Boom. Oh, my God. I'm not trying to oversimplify. This is Tony Robbins. Been teaching this since God, since I met him, was introduced to him, not met him personally, over 25 years ago. And that's the opportunity you have today. What if today we shifted our perspective on who we could become in 2020? What if today we revisited the version of us we're supposed to be? What if today you are a little more naive, like you were when you were 17, 18 years old, and just said, no, I'm doing this. No one's going to talk me out of it. Remember, they never built a statue of a critic. There's a lot of critics in our lives. And even the outside world, the news, there's so many critics. Lean into your soul today. Look where you can go. Look where you've been. Look what you've already accomplished. And let's turn this around. Let's make 2020 the year, the transition year. And you are one of the first people.
