I hope you guys can hear me. Alright, it's a little noisy. I'm in Charlotte, North Carolina, not that you can see a lot. And today I'm doing a weekly wisdom in the middle of the afternoon. It's been a busy week. Yeah, I hope you can hear me. Okay, let me know. I see people coming on right now, middle of the day. Maybe you'll see the replay tonight. But I want to talk about productivity because I just did a huge training on it and people went nuts over the training. You know, in today's crazy busy world, we have so much going on. Technology didn't allow our lives to be easy. Technology allowed us to get a lot more done in a shorter period of time. Right? I mean, that's. Look how cool this fountain is. If anybody's from around here, you know exactly where I'm at. I don't mean to be like a squirrel with different things, but first time I was ever in Charlotte. It's an awesome, beautiful city. So here's what I want to say. Hopefully you can hear me. Let me know if you can. But let's talk about productivity. I want to talk about three things that can make you more productive and they're so simple. Thank you for the hearts, thank you for the likes. If you like this message, when you're done, click the share button. Let's get it out to everybody and hey everybody. Hey Maria, Hey Dom, hey Kelly, Cecilia, Elizabeth, everybody coming on. Great to see you. So three things that make you more productive. 1. Think of binary thinking. I did a deep training on this last week, but binary thinking is either ones or zeros. So let's just take it in yeses or nos. Your time is so precious. We don't have extra, we don't have it laying around, so don't abuse it. So start thinking about the things that you do in either a yes or a no. Does this thing that you do on a basis, does it take you to. Does it make you more money? Does it serve God, the universe? Does it take you towards a bigger version, better version of yourself? If it doesn't, then it doesn't. And maybe that should be off the list of things to do. So start thinking in life, things a little simpler, right? Binary thinking, does this serve me? Does this fuel me? Does this take me to another level? And if it doesn't, then maybe it should be on the not to do list. Like, you know, I talk about a lot. So binary thinking, simplify it. Secondly, I want you to think about scheduling time. See, what we do is we say, I'll get to that next week or I'll work on that new project tomorrow, or I'll work on that project at lunchtime. But then when we work on it, we dabble. You know, the greatest gift I could give you is have a start time and an end time to everything and anything that you do, right? Because what happens is we get excited about something, we want to make more money, so we get a course, we get a program, we get something and then we just, we decide maybe Tuesday, maybe Thursday after work. And then a week goes by, a month goes by. Let me ask you right now, click yes or give me a Like if you know that you've had something you've been dying to do, start the gym, go to another level, start the diet, start the new business, register the URL, start doing real estate. And you put it off till next week, then next month and say yes if you. Or click. Like if a month, a year, or even five years have gone by and you've done none of it. Sorry, I'm in a new city trying to take it all in while I'm talking to you guys. But I see the, like, see the hearts. We've all done that. So first is binary thinking, yes or no ones or O's. Does it serve me and my family and God, the universe, my bigger future, more money, or does it not? And if it doesn't, why are you doing it? And start easing that out. Secondly is schedule things. Schedule the time, a start time, an end times. Schedule when you're going to be done with the project or when you're going to commit to doing it. And the third is don't dabble. Don't have so many distractions. There's a new book out right now called Deep Work. Deep Work is really about. We live in a world of dabbling we live in. We check social media, we check Facebook, we check Instagram, we check our bank account, we check the news feed, we check what somebody said, we check on how many likes we got on our picture, we check on how our family's doing, we check on all these things. I'm gonna just hang out right here for a minute and finish talking to you guys before I get hit by a car. We check out all these things. We start a new business on the side, we kind dabble at work and we go shallow in everything we do. And we let distractions eat up our time, right? We think we're working, but then we'll check our text. We're in control of our text. We're not in control of it. Right? We let social media control us. We want to check how many likes we got, all those things. So what I want to talk about is killing the distractions and going deep. If you decide to make money in real estate, if you spend just an hour a day, do nothing else for that hour, shut your phone off. You know, this is all logical. You're saying to me, dean, oh, brilliant. No, it's not brilliant. I'm just reminding you, you I get sucked in too. I get sucked into checking Instagram, checking Facebook, checking a bank account, checking the news feeds, all those things. And all of a sudden I'm going shallow and everything. And I'll never go, I'll never get to that next level. Never get to that expertise level. You know in that book, Malcolm Gladwell talks about the 10,000 hour rule. You never master anything until you got about 10,000. Sorry, it's loud. Until you've got 10,000 hours in, right? So if you go shallow, you'll never reach that finish line. And here's what I bet to say. You have been on the 10 yard line, the 5 yard line on so many things in your life and you give up and you went on to the next thing. I'm not saying you like you're doing anything wrong, but I've done it. So the three things to be more productive, binary thinking, does it serve you? God, the universe, your bigger future, more money or not? If it doesn't, consider not doing it. 2. Schedule it. When are you going to take the time to make your better life? What time of day? Where, when and while you're doing it. The third thing is don't go deep, don't go shallow, stop the distractions, shut off the phone, don't answer email, tell your family you can't talk to them. You want to be a better man, a better woman. You want to serve your family and leave a legacy. Spend during the that time you're dedicated to your bigger future. Tell them you can't talk to them because then when you become the better version of you, you'll be a better mom, better dad, better grandparent, better husband, better wife, better human being.
