When you feel like quitting | Remember this one thing every time!

Dean Graziosi shares why most people quit right before their breakthrough. He grew up in a trailer park, struggled with dyslexia, and watched others give up just before success. The one thing to remember: keep going when it feels hardest.
Don't quit. That's the message for today. Don't quit.
Welcome to the Dean Graziosi Show. All success starts right here.
Hey, it's Dean Graziosi. Thanks for coming on a walk with me. Whether you're listening or watching, you know if you've heard them before. Sometimes there's cars going by, sometimes there's construction. I don't have time to be in the studio today, but I have a message and I have time for you right this minute. If you've ever thought about quitting, quitting on your next level, quitting on the man or the woman God designed you to be, quitting on your dreams, quitting on starting that business or scaling that business, quitting on believing that there's real love meant for you out there, whatever it is you're thinking of quitting on. I'm going to urge you this very moment, if you don't hear anything else I say today, don't quit. You see, I go live or I film these audios or podcasts or YouTube videos for one reason. To pull back the curtain on the things that allowed me to live life where I feel I'm tapped into my full potential. I think there's more potential. And if you're not climbing, you're sliding. If you're not growing, you're dying. And I can't wait to meet the man I'll be next year. But here's what I know. I never would have accomplished anything in my life. Not being married to the woman of my dreams or love being a dad or starting over 13 different businesses and multiple New York Times best selling author and all those cool titles. But what does it really mean? It means that I got to grow. I got to experience what it's like to say, yes, there is more, I can do more, be more, serve more. But a million times, a million times I thought about quitting. And probably a handful of times in my life, I actually was an eighth of an inch away. And probably one or two times I quit for a while. So what makes you quit? Sometimes it doesn't seem there's any proof that it's possible. You try. You try and it doesn't work. And then you get reinforced by friends and family saying, you should quit. That's for other people. That's for dreamers. That happens if you're younger, it happens if you're older. It happens in a different time in history. Before being an entrepreneur, before, before life wasn't screwed up. So you get reinforced. This is a terrible thing that's going on in our world. I think now more than ever. I think misery loves company. So there's more people telling you it's time to quit. There's more people telling you it's unfair. There's more people telling you there's other people with their foot on your head and that's the only reason that you can't accomplish it. That's a bunch of bs. Times have been tough forever and those who make it are the ones that don't quit. But here's something I want you to think about and this is what I believe to be true. I believe people quit when they're just one more failure away from who they're meant to be. I think, not to use a silly sports analogy, but I think many people quit on the five yard line. I think many people went through the headache, went through the hard times and yes, it went wrong and people let you down and you had self doubt and you felt like an imposter and then you gave up and went back to what you thought was comfortable. But comfortable usually means miserable and you didn't realize you were one mountain, one hurdle, one wall away from the man or woman you were supposed to be. I want you to think about this. What if there was a success auditor that literally kept track of all the things that you tried in life, knows every one of your failures as you think is failures. But what if it was part of the journey? What if it wasn't failures? What if when you think of quitting, when you almost give up, when you think you're there and someone pulls the rug out from underneath you, or the money doesn't come through, the marketing doesn't work or your spouse doesn't support you or your family think you're crazy, or you watch the news and you have self doubt when you're an inch away, a millimeter away from quitting and you don't? What if the success auditor checks off another box and says she got through another one? Unfortunately she's got four more. But after the fifth time she almost thinks of quitting, but still continues to get up and move forward. That's when it's happening. And what if you only go three more times and you quit and you never get to realize who you were meant to be? See, I'm taking a walk right now. I do this pretty much every day of my life. But I've been doing this for a long time. It's not really for exercise. I don't meditate. This is kind of my meditation. You get to be on my Meditation with me sometimes. But I took a walk about 25 years ago. @ the time, I owned a collision shop. I owned used car sales. I had 21 apartments. I was building houses. That's how I got started. I got started in high school cutting firewood. Then I started fixing beat up cars and selling them for profit. And then collision shop and then my first apartment house. And then I bought raw land, subdivided and built houses and juggled and had a tow truck company. But I watched Tony Robbins on tv. I bought his information, just like information I'm sharing with you. And that information shifted my life. I knew I could be more, do more. I had another calling. That calling was to be in the self education industry, to share what I had learned. I had become a millionaire from a trailer park and I wanted to share my journey. It wasn't Tony Robbins journey, surely wasn't Tony Robbins. He had 20 years on me. But I felt my calling and I knew I had to do that. I knew I had to create a course, I had to create a training. I had to help people see the path that I had found. Starting with nothing. But let me just tell you something. When it really sunk in on a walk just like this, because I was packing up and moving to Phoenix, Arizona, where I live now, where I was leaving my collision shop and auto sales and apartments and houses to go all in on creating a course and a training, like who was going to buy for me. But I felt strong. I was empowered. Sorry, you hear some beeping going on? I felt empowered and I want to do it. But I had my sister drive up from Virginia when she heard from Virginia, New York, heard. I was gonna go all in on this self education industry to share knowledge. Before the Internet, before Instagram, before Facebook, before podcast, before YouTube. I was gonna build an infomercial and a product. You know how crazy that must have sounded? Of course I thought about quitting, but I was all in. I was excited. You've been there. You know that feeling. Then my sister drove up and sat me down and said, hey, we're so proud of what you've accomplished, Artie. With nothing but this is going too far. It's gonna fail. You're gonna lose everything. My father gave me the same talk. My mom was concerned. My mom, my kid, my friends weren't so polite. They just told me an idiot and a fool. I already felt like an imposter. I had dyslexia in school. I didn't feel like the smartest kid. I didn't go past high school. I didn't have a college education. And I remember taking a walk like this. And as I was walking, my brain started going down the path of they're. Who do you think you are? Gonna write a course, do an infomercial? That's not you. You're not Tony Robbins. Oh, my God. Tony Robbins is nine feet tall. He's got this dynamic voice, got this power. He's friends with successful people. He's worth gazillions of dollars. He's impacted millions of lives. He's just this incredible dude. That's not you. All of those things started building up. And I was amazing millimeter away from quitting. But something empowered me that day. In a walk just like this. And I said, no, that's not who I'm supposed to be. I feel this. I believe it. I have no proof that it's true. I can't calculate it, I can't quantify it. I can't look at statistics. Cuz statistics. Statistically, I had no chance of making it. But that day I realized I'm not the smartest guy in the world. But I have a story. I was a broke guy who had nothing, who everyone thought he was crazy with dyslexia. And I went on to become a millionaire in my 20s, retire my parents by the time I was 30 and take care of them and go on to do so many incredible things in that moment. I can't even explain it to you. In a moment just like this, I was a hairline away from going. I should stick with what I know. Everyone's right. I should be satisfied. And can I tell you something? If I made that decision, I'd be miserable today. I wouldn't know the man I could have become, the father I could have become, the husband I could have become, the leader I could have become. The chance to donate and impact lives around the world and feed, provide 10 million meals and help children in slavery and build schools in Africa and make sure my family's safe. This month alone, I bought my mom a brand new house. I just put my dad in a place where he can live so comfortably. Like I get to do cool things because I didn't quit. Now, this isn't about. Look how great Dean Graziosi is. I just want to tell you I'm human. I've thought of quitting a lot and I'm so glad I didn't. And I don't want you to have those regrets. So what I'd love for you to do today is think about. Yes, maybe you've quit on things in the past, but don't pass. But don't dare quit on yourself today, because here's what I do know. If you quit, it's really easy to predict your future. How does that feel? But if you don't quit, if you go for it with no proof, you can't quantify it. People are gonna call you crazy, your friends are going to look at you sideways, but you'll have the opportunity to play in the game and stop sitting on the sidelines. And you might fail for a while and you might have to pay your success tax. And you might have to go through seven failures. Nine failures, 12 failures. You might be sleepless at night wondering why the heck you're doing it. But on the other side of that, you get to see who you're meant to be, who God designed you to be, and tap into your full potential and there's nothing better. Has life been easy for me as an entrepreneur, starting with nothing, with self doubt? Heck no. But is life easy for anyone? You're going to deal with crap, you're going to deal with disappointment. You're going to have things go sideways. If you are, you might as well go all in on the person you want to be. The love that you want, the parent you want, the freedom you want, the control you want, the money you want, the business you want. So this is my call to you today. Don't quit. Don't quit. Get after it. Discover who you are, who you could really be. When you're up against it, know that there is more in you. Don't let this society that. Sorry, I'm just gonna say it like it is. Feels like it's getting weaker to me. Where people are afraid to step up, afraid to say what's in their heart, afraid to be criticized by the loud minority. Screw that. Be you. Do you? Because at the end of your life, the only person you get to look at and have a real talk with is you. And I want to be able to look in the mirror and say, as Frank Sinatra says, I did it my way. Alright, that's my message for today. You guys have an awesome week.
