Debra Dobbs - Chicago Realtor

We've really been happy with where we ended up, and we thought that Debra did a really good job advising us toward this part of the city based on her understanding of our parameters. And we think back to the other places that we considered, and we really feel that we made absolutely the right choice.

One of the things that struck me right out of the gate was Debra is a true Chicago-phile. This woman, born and raised, loves this town. We started driving around and looking working at homes began with my husband and I driving in a separate car behind Debra to the various homes. It very quickly became me abandoning my husband to the other car and riding with Debra to all of the homes because the conversation was engaging and I was learning so much about Chicago from her just in those minutes between homes.

Never when we had phone conversations, it never seemed like she was in a hurry to move on to the next phone call she had to make or anything like that. She always took her time and and just always made you feel like, you know, you were what was important right then.

The most important aspect for us is trust. Trust in the partnership that the other person has, you know, the best interest of the collective group.

There was a small drip from our powder room sink while we were on a family vacation over the Christmas holiday, and I didn't know who else to call, but I called Debra and I said, "Could you come to my house and check out the leak and make sure that my house isn't going to be flooded by the time I get back?" And she even came over and checked and checked it out. So we really feel like anything housing-related, we could always call Debra, and Debra would be every bit as responsive as she was when we were looking for our home.

She honestly cares about her clients. That's her biggest quality. In 1991, I had one transaction, then I had two in 2008, and then I had one just last year. And she's the same person she was 25 years ago. She's a decent, decent person who cares about the people she works with. It's all family.

Debra listened to what it was, what the home was, and what the what the amenities were that we were interested in, and quickly said, "I have a couple areas that I think you want to look at." And she was spot on. She gave us a home, not just a house.
