For ranking you need to have a lot of trust in the engineer to be able to on their own dive very deeply and understand data and what's going on. Yeah because if their mindset is I just want to ship this project you're going to have a terrible time. It's your job as a search engineer to say hey this can't ship even though you want to tell your manager even though you want it to ship everyone wants it to ship. It can't ship because of this reason and this metric is not working. We have to dig into why this isn't working. Even though we had this hypothesis it didn't really show in the metric we wanted another metric went up and maybe you could launch with that metric but we don't understand why it went up so we should dig in more. All of these are kinds of it's a thought process that search engineers have to have that's very different from.
