Good Day Google+ - The Sweethearts of Google+

In this February 14, 2014 Google+ Hangout, host Dennis Littley (Speaker A) gathers a panel of friends—Heather Faye, Leah Segedy, Jenny Field, Holly Homer, Mia Voss, Peg Fitzpatrick, and others—for a light‑hearted Valentine’s Day celebration. The conversation drifts through personal updates (Heather’s new album and upcoming Hangout concerts, Holly’s kids’ Valentine’s crafts, Jenny’s snow‑bound cooking demo of honey‑lavender panna cotta scheduled for 10 AM EST next Thursday), wellness and food debates (fat‑carries‑flavor, GMO feed, grass‑fed beef, hemp uses, chocolate‑bacon treats), pet‑rescue anecdotes, playful branding moments (tiaras, “Tiara Tuesday”), the community’s “clout clap” joke, and regional lifestyle chatter about weather, insects, gun laws, and taxes. The panel also engages in meta‑humor, including a “horny hole” joke, meme‑creation prompts, and banter about “clout” and “blooper reels.” Peg shares her experience juggling multiple bosses (her husband and a colleague named Guy), highlighting workplace dynamics. The group teases future projects, including a food‑culture series with international writers, more Hangout concerts, and a forthcoming Pinterest‑focused Google+ business hangout centered on strategy and marketing. The tone remains informal, conversational, and humor‑laden, with enthusiastic endorsements of food and wellness ideas and light‑hearted critiques of fast‑food chains and corporate practices.

My Google Valentine, sweet comic Valentine, you +1 my heart when I feel blue. You share my photographs, your comments make me laugh, so now I'd like to say this to you. Good day, Google+.
That was awesome.
Well played, Shep.
Thank you very much. Like I always say, it's always a great day when we're on Google+. People are starting to think I'm a little crazy, and I am too, but I'm loving life in Florida and loving Google+ and all my wonderful friends. Heather, I hope that didn't hurt too much since you're the professional.
It was beautiful.
Thank you.
It's wonderful to be serenaded.
Great, well let's run down our panel real quick and say hi to everybody. And we have Heather Faye, singer-songwriter, thanks for being with us.
Thank you for inviting me to join you guys.
My pleasure. Holly Homer, my fellow Texan.
Woo-hoo!
Our little snow bunny there, Jenny Field, who's trapped in her house with snow. How you doing?
Little stir-crazy.
I know, we all be that. It looks like we got the devil here, she had a halo on earlier but I think she hurt herself Mixing it up.
I am mixing it up.
Hey guys, my partner in crime on HOA is Mia Voss, aka Thelma. Fist bump!
Fist bump!
It's always great to be serenaded by a man who can cook.
Woo-hoo!
Two talents.
That is a double.
You let the singing go by and of course Peg Fitzpatrick, it's so nice to see you. You ask why we don't do this more often, we need to. Thanks for being here today. Like you guys know, my show, this is my Valentine's special, so there's not a lot else on the agenda except maybe talking about what we like on Valentine's Day or anything that might, you know, come across the board today. If you have questions, put them in the comment bar and we will get to them. You want to say hi, just please say hi to us. We're here for you today and just to have a good time with Good Day Google+. So I'm just going to turn it right over again to Heather. And Heather, why don't you tell us a little bit about what you're doing on the Plus or anything that might be interesting interesting for you?
Oh gosh, well, celebrating Valentine's Day is one of my favorite days, so I'm just feeling the love and spending it with— we had a snow day today, so my kids and my husband are home, so it's just a great day. Playing music, I've got practice later. I'll be booking some shows and doing some more Hangout concerts coming up soon to support my new album.
That's pretty much it, just singing and, you know, been working on new material for another album.
Oh yeah, always.
Oh, it's— yeah, it's bad. I have a problem.
What? That's a good problem.
That's a good problem to have, I think.
Every emotion I feel, you know, goes into a song, or, you know, so not necessarily a good one, but not one that I would necessarily share with the world, but it goes into a song.
Well, it can't be— yeah, I'm sure they're good songs. I remember hearing the Bacon Brothers one time, and they were amazing musicians, sang their hearts out, but not the best songwriters in the world. You know, you gotta have that talent, and I've heard your songs, so you do have that knack for writing songs.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
And Holly, how are things deep in the heart in Texas? What's up with you?
Well, it's— at least we're having good weather again. That cold weather doesn't do well down here, so we're back up to 75, so we're feeling warm and happy. But, um, yeah, I had an experience experience on Wednesday that was a little different. I usually try to stay clear of the kids' Valentine's parties and stuff at school. I'm like the mom that brings the paper plates instead of the mom that leads out. But I got to the sign-up sheet a little late and ended up with the craft. People have been like, "But you write a kids' activities blog." But the problem is that's not necessarily the way I live my life every day. I usually highlight the work of others. It was really fun. We ended up making paper plate roses and I have a YouTube video that I posted this morning on Google+ on how we did it and it turned out wonderfully. Even though I was freaking out, it turned out to be a good experience.
What grade was it for?
2nd grade. It was 2nd graders and a bunch of safety scissors. It was a big challenge.
You didn't have to worry about them running with the scissors, hopefully.
No, no.
They were all seated and I wielded the stapler.
Probably a smart move on your part.
Yeah, you gotta be in charge of the stapler. I have stapled my own hand too many times to— and not on purpose. Alright, Jenny, how are things with you in North Carolina? Snowbound there.
Things are melting, which is nice. We had to take Ruthie, one of our cats, to the vet this morning, and the roads are okay outside of our neighborhood. Our house is sort of in the valley of the roads, and so we had ice up both ways. But it's fine. It's all good. I've got Valentine dessert in the refrigerator. I made a caramelized honey and lavender panna cotta.
Ooh. Yeah.
I know, right?
So was that hard to make?
No, not really.
I have never made a panna cotta. I hate to admit it.
You know, the only— vital measurement really is like a teaspoon of granulated gelatin per cup of dairy, and then you just sweeten it to taste and flavor it however you want and call it a day. It's really pretty easy to make.
Really?
Sure it is.
No, for real.
I'm still coming over. I'm like, it's me.
Does it matter what kind of dairy you use?
Well, fat carries flavor, so I like to use at least some heavy cream to carry the flavor. But this one is half and half whole milk and heavy cream. Sometimes I put some buttermilk in depending on what the flavor is going to be. I might want that tang in there. So no, it doesn't really matter too much.
Have you ever used anything like almond milk or any of the other milks?
You know, I haven't, but honestly, I don't see why that wouldn't work. If there's anybody out there who has ever done that, please chime in, because I've not. But gelatin doesn't care what liquid it's in, as far as I know, so it's going to do its thing regardless. I've gelled wine before, so—
Yeah, the proof is Jell-O itself, the thing that never returns back to liquid after it turns into Jell-O.
A little freakish. You don't want to think about it too much, you know.
I didn't know that about Jell-O.
The only way to turn Jell-O back to liquid is to put it in your mouth and go— at least so I've been told. And I'm sure it's loaded with bad things too. So Leah, you can tell—
you don't want to know.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Artificial dyes, genetically modified ingredients. If you're going to do it, just do it. Don't think about it. You know what I mean? Because you don't want the ingredients.
Well, you might as well not even mix the water in and just snort it then, right?
I guess you could snort it, right?
No, I have seen girls that use it for hair dye too, don't they?
Oh yeah, around Halloween time I've heard of that. What else do they do? Kool-Aid? Kool-Aid and Jell-O?
I think I actually saw a hair dye commercial on TV and they were blue and purple and, you know, so I guess things are changing. I don't know. So it really makes me feel old. So what are you doing, Leah? What things are going on besides your job?
Athena: You don't want to ask me about the weather because I'm in California and it's supposed to be like in the mid-80s today and yesterday it was like 86 degrees. I actually was sweating outside. You guys are all in the snow and I'm so sorry for you but pray that we get rain because California is having the biggest drought right now and it's not even funny and it's going to be a big issue as the years go on. So I'm actually thinking, "God, just give us something." Right now, if it actually does rain, that doesn't really matter because what they need was the snow in the mountains and trickling down. So when it rains, it rained actually like a week ago a little bit and it wasn't what we actually needed. We needed it months and months and months ago but so I'm praying that next year will be better for rain but in the meantime, I'm considering California, you know, flowers and redoing my lawn and stuff like that so that I can, you know, consume less water in my house and we got solar panels up on my, on the top on my house because I'm in California. Why not take advantage of the sun? We did that this year. So what am I doing personally today? I'm working a lot today and I'm on your show. Your show is going to be the most awesome thing I do today because the rest of the day is going to be clients and stuff for my conference and oh, oh, oh, I'm going out with my husband but I have no idea where he's taking me. Oh, that's nice. Yeah, he's like a sweetie. He's like one of those, he's like, we have like this role reversal where I'm more of the dude and he's more the chick, right? He's like the sweet emotional one that will like hide little notes, places for me so I see little things that says "I love you." And me, I— anniversary, one year I forgot our anniversary. I've done that too. I'm the one— well, yeah, yeah, yeah. So I wouldn't say I'm wearing the pants but I'm definitely the one that's more I don't know, more of the aggressor.
And you're also wearing the pants, huh?
Yeah. I don't want to emasculate him, though. I hate doing that. I do see women who do that to their husbands. It kind of makes me twitch a little bit. But definitely, he's the sweetheart. So if you guys ever see him, he's Mark Segedy on Twitter. He's Mr. Bookie Boo. And the other thing is he came up with Mr. Bookie Boo as his name. I had nothing to do with that. My name is Bookieboo on Twitter. He came up with Mr. Bookieboo. He's just a sweetie. I'm enjoying this show. Can I poke your belly a little bit? Just a little bit, Shadow? I just want to poke you because I just love having you around.
The Pillsbury Doughboy. There were days that women wanted to poke my belly because it was firm and strong. Those days are way behind me. I think I need to work on that.
They still want I just want to give him hugs. I just want to give Chef hugs and just like, you know, hang out.
God bless my wife for thinking that I'm that attractive, but she was always afraid when I went to conferences that all the 20-year-old young bloggers were going to be throwing themselves at me, and I'm going, honey, you know, I really appreciate that sentiment, but it ain't happening.
I don't know if you want that kind of drama, Chef.
No, I don't. That's the other thing. I'm old enough to know that that's not a good thing.
20-year-old drama, I don't know if you want the 20-year-old drama.
When you're younger, you know, it doesn't bother you as much, but when you get past a certain age, you go, oh no, it's just not worth that much trouble.
Oh, hell no.
Hell no. All right, Sister Thelma, how you doing there, mi floss?
Brother, Brother Sheffy, how are you?
Okay, and how was Mark? How did he sing?
Oh my God, it was really good. He had full lyrics. It was going on. Peggy might have still been in there when he did it, so it's right up there. Now I've got two best hits, and I'm almost thinking of singing off —comment. Sing-off or duet?
That's what I told him, a duet. Yeah, I think so too.
Which, I just want to comment to Leah real quick. It's not that he's not wearing the pants. You're also wearing the pants. That's what it is too. And then I have to go back to what Jenny said, because this is going to be the line of the day. Fat carries flavor. Oh yeah.
And I'm carrying a lot of flavor.
When I feel like a chunky monkey, I'm going to say, excuse me. But that carries flavor.
I think we all need your shirts, Ursula.
Bumper stickers. On my fridge. Did you see what I posted? I'm the wellness blogger that drinks the full-fat milk.
I'm down with it. Wait, did I see what you posted on my event?
Yeah, don't mess with Mia Voss. I will cut you. Don't mess with Mia Voss, she will cut you.
That was the best. Well, the context was, because it was a very serious conversation-ish about— because I mean, who could take me seriously wearing this Sochi figure skater top? Right? Come on. Look at this crazy thing. I got this at a resale shop in Aspen, so I was like, I gotta have that thing. I don't know what it is. It's uncomfortable as hell. It's scratchy. I don't care. I work for you guys.
That's marvelous, and it goes with the tiara too.
That's true. It's very shiny on it. You need my horns to go with that.
I think you might.
Well, and I really like this one. I think it's actually a good one for today. Hold the phone because there's so many fun ones. Aww. But to go back to what Sheva was saying, somebody said, oh, do people stalk you? They're talking about stalkers on Google+. I was like, oh no, I think I scare them. I was like, you mess with me, I will cut you. I will cut you. So thank you for that. No problem. That was the context of that. By the way, Denver is almost 50 degrees today, so we have our computer Completely out of the whole freeze. There's still snow on the ground, but we got it all going on. I'm feeling badly for East Coasters for sure. Yeah, I agree.
Yeah, we really picked the right year to move. I'm telling you, it's going to be just madness this year up there. Oh God, I'm sure people are like, "Shut it, Chef." Yeah, they do, and my wife tortures them just as much on Facebook and stuff too with pictures. She actually went out to play tennis this morning, so had them take a shot of her.
Oh, that's so neat.
She goes, "I'm playing with tennis balls, not snowballs." The rest of us are And Peg, so what's up in your life today?
Well, I have snow today. We got tons and tons of snow. We love snow in New Hampshire.
Well, when you get snow, it's serious snow too.
Wait, let me show you outside my window. I'll probably mess my camera up, but here, wait. I love Peg's heart. Oh, holy moly. You ain't playing.
You ain't playing. That was awesome. You ain't messing around. Yeah. We got some snow, people.
But you know what, it's pretty snow. And my dog loves it.
And he's inside. I love that heart, by the way, Peg. That's a good look in your little lower third.
Oh, I don't have a new lower third heart. I could do the tiara thing. I have one around. My nickname at my old job was Queenie, and they gave me a tiara. I'm glad I'm not there.
I would rule you for it because I love me some tiaras.
Well, I was a property manager for public housing. And I am a nice, obviously sweet person, but I'm like a super tough hot mama when I'm a property manager, like pay your rent, follow the rules. So when I was coming on property, they would be like, Queenie's here, and they'd freak out and send the signal out. And I was like, okay, whatever. So it was good and bad nicknames.
I wonder if you had an I will cut you sign too. You're too squeaky, I will cut you.
It was more like, I will evict you. Ah! Good one. Don't mess around with Peg, dang. It's totally serious. I went from social work to social media. How funny. It's quite an interesting change. But yeah, that'll be in one of my books that I write someday, my stories of public housing. Very interesting.
I think that's a good title for your book too, From Social Work to Social Media.
Well, she nailed it.
I wouldn't be able to say any of the stories. They have to be like not based on real people.
But of course, these are real people.
Seriously, funny stories. I used to go on kitten rescues. Here's a good one. I used to go on kitten rescues because people would leave their cats.
Oh, that's awful.
They wouldn't pay their rent and they would move, and so I would go on kitten rescues and I would go save the kittens, seriously, like save the kittens so they weren't left. Bob Foster approves that. That I would find them homes.
I'm glad you were there to do that. So many people leave their, especially cats, when they move. It's unbelievable. We work for a cat rescue group here and we hear all kinds of stories.
Yeah, I witnessed it firsthand and it was sad. Oh gosh, body loss approves that. Cat rescue! I had a little cat carrier at my desk and I can't have cats. I love cats.
It happened that much you had to have the cat carrier at your desk.
That's crazy. I had the little cat carrier.
My co-star today is one of our cats. Let me show you. Here's Sam. Who is hanging out napping next to me on the couch.
I was about to say, I'm going to go get Bob here in a second because he's missing out on all the ladies and he loves women. So Bob Voss approves all of you, just so you know.
You're Bob Voss approved?
You're Tripod Bob approved. It's my 3-legged cat and he's such a ladies' man. But he loves him some chef too, don't get me wrong.
He knows I got the food. That's why I got the bacon.
Chef's got the chicken.
Oh, that's awesome.
God, Peg, like I could find another reason to like you more. Wow, with this cat rescue thing, that's awesome.
That was true though. I don't know. Anyway, that was just my little segue into wearing tiaras. So funny story, I would sometimes wear my tiara at my desk because it was there. Why not, right? And the CEO walked by one day and he goes, "Are you wearing a tiara?" Yes, and he was like, carry on.
And he kept going. Do you have a problem? And he's probably shaking his head.
You should have just turned to him and said, you didn't get the memo.
I got fantastic state audits on all my paperwork, you know, so what is it, you know, that's all that matters to those people. You want to wear a tiara at your desk? Okay, do your paperwork fine.
I do hear that from people a lot. They're like, you know Mia wears that even in the private Hangouts, right? I'll have a conversation and they're like, you still got that on? I'm like, well, I know. I have it literally launched at startup. TR comes on.
But I love that you're still— Yeah, she's not joking about that.
You gotta wear it in real life too, you know? That's the thing.
Well, you're kind of upping my game, Peg. I can hear you. You know what, Mia?
I am waiting for you to wear a real one out of the house. We were, my girls and I were, Wore them in our convertible one day. We were driving around. People were like, "What?" We're like, "It's this today, people." The gauntlet has been thrown down now.
I've got to make sure we're connected on Instagram and then I'm going to do a bunch of selfies. Oh my gosh, let's do Instagram selfies.
I am totally doing it. You need a tiara day.
Let's do Tiara Tuesday.
Oh, I like Tiara Tuesday. And I'm actually going to pull up Instagram so I can Instagram this conversation right now too.
And Leah, as long as you don't make your husband wear the tiara, you're not a monster.
Oh no! The last time I wore a real tiara was when I got married. I actually have one for that.
Nicole Murphy has one of those too. She came on my show with her real one too. And I said the same thing. I said, if I were there, I would roll you. Right now and snatch that off your head.
She's going to roll, she's going to cut, she's going to do all kinds of stuff.
It's a good thing I have multiples.
Yeah. I bet Mark Seidel is going to do something with that, by the way. If you haven't seen any of the blooper reels he's been doing, he's going to cut that right now and make it into something. He's been great with that.
I think if you're going to keep saying that though, you're going to have to adopt a little bit of a Spanish accent for I'm going to cut you.
Exactly. I was going to say, or I'll put my hard hat on for that one too.
Oh, there you go. You have to do it like the "say hello to my little friend." Little friend.
Very West Side Story sort of.
Yeah, it's confusing with the tiara and the anger.
Like it's tough but beautiful. You're still beautiful and tough.
Mixed message. Yeah, mixed message. Speaking of multiples, that's a mixed message. What is she? Is she mad? Is she going to cut me? Is she going to hug me? Is she going to pop me?
Element of surprise is your friend. With hearts.
With hearts. In this top.
There you go. But we still want to hug you.
The blood won't show from the cutting.
I went to a high school where we had a game, Tunerville and Westside. And the women were fighting each other. So if they said they were going to cut you, it was very different. Me, I actually want to hug. Then I didn't want to hug. Yeah. Nobody's buying it.
And I say that to Bob. I always kind of joke with Bob when he's really acting up. I'm like, oh, I'm going to give you Shaken Bob syndrome if you don't knock it off. And it's a strong talk. But then somebody says, "Never shake a Bob." I said, "Okay." He's in the other room like, "What is she talking about?" He'd be tripping. Someone already asked about aphrodisiac food.
I thought you would totally jump all over that, Chef. I know.
Who knows about aphrodisiac food? Well, I'm sure these ladies do, although I don't think they need it.
They're all wired right now.
We are. Coffee! Jean Layton's already done Fat Carrie's Flavor, by the way. That's up there on the event. I think you guys haven't seen that. My girl! Hey, Jean. Love her.
We did have some good— here's one from Tony. We had rain and 80-mile-per-hour winds. I don't know where he is, but that's not good. No, that sounds terrible.
I think he's in crap town.
Here's from Adriana. Love the snow. We got a ton right now, but I just love it. But beautiful.
New England is gorgeous. Yay! Yay for my area.
New England!
Jane is saying she'd love a duet with us. I don't know what we'd sing. I guess Mark sang earlier.
I think Mark sang on a Hangout today too.
Yes, he did. Maybe we could sing, we could redo Ebony and Ivory and sing SEO and call him— SEO and I don't know what.
Heather, work on that.
Yeah, we need some accompaniment here.
I'll grab a guitar, we'll get going on it.
I don't want to see it on your new album though, come on.
Do an Ice Ice Baby remix of it, like that one song that came out. I love Vanilla Ice. That's funny.
Okay, that's the funniest thing I've heard all day randomly. I love Vanilla Ice.
He was so bad, he was good. It was funny. I thought of him as the same way I think of some of the, uh, WF wrestling.
So is that really why you moved to Florida? So you could be in the same state with Vanilla Ice?
Yeah, yeah, that and the Sunshine Gang too.
And Hulk Hogan too, right?
Yes, the Hulkster. I'm still waiting to meet the Hulkster. I would be in awe of him.
I heard he took all his money and bought a sporting goods store down in Florida somewhere, like one of those big huge box stores. I think it's a restaurant.
Yeah, he's got a restaurant. Yeah, he's in Clearwater.
At least he didn't blow it, right, on hookers and blow? Seriously, usually they all blow it. Well, come on, you know, one-hit wonder, where does the money usually go?
Are you talking about Vanilla Ice or Hulk Hogan?
Yeah, both, I guess. I was talking about Vanilla Ice. Okay. We thought you were talking Talking about Hulk Hogan.
about Hulk Hogan, I'm like, one-hit wonder, what? No, no, he's not the same person.
Because he'd have one hit and you'd be wondering what happened to you. Oh God, we don't even want to talk to Hulk like that. He still scares the bejesus out of me.
He's on Google+ now, right? Yes, and we love him.
He's a good guy. Actually, I have a friend that lives in Tampa and she says, Isabelle Lasek, and she says she runs into him in the grocery store all the time, and he is the kindest, sweetest person, just always, always really nice. You know, it's good to know. And Isabelle is in the house too. There she is. Love the line of the day, Jenny Fjell, mi avós: fat carries flavor.
I need to preach the gospel. I mean, I appreciate the low-fat deal, but if you want things to taste good, you really have to amp up the calories just a little bit.
Jenny, it's too late. Your healthy food quote has now gone into a totally Valentine's Day concept.
Fantastic. I am okay with that. I have—
It's all about feeling better about ourselves now.
Fat-free was so '90s though, guys. Fat-free isn't even the thing anymore. It's like the opposite of what the wellness community is doing, so load on the fat. It's fine. Yeah.
I mean, less processed, the better. It's another step in processing to take the fat out of something, so why not just leave it alone?
There you go, girl.
I'm glad I came on.
The fact that you're cooking it from scratch just makes me want to do this. You know what I'm saying? The wellness community loves it when people cook from scratch because you're controlling the ingredients. Yeah.
I am anti-box mix, anti-pre-made as much as possible.
I bet you've never even been in the middle of a store, Jenny.
I shop the perimeter. That's all. I'm a perimeter shopper.
Bob says hey, by the way.
Here's your boy. Hi, Bob. He's a little like, oh, ladies.
He's like, I don't know about this. Oh, he's scrumptious.
Bob says hi to you. Hi, Sam.
Bob Voss approves. And he would give you— he would clap clap you right now if he could, by the way.
But he's been fixed, so there ain't nothing to clap down there no more.
You know, I've noticed though, the funny thing is because I have this banner, when I do clap clap, some people don't know what the heck I'm doing because they can't see it. It's like right down here. It's so funny. I think it's funny.
I've seen a video of me, I know what you're doing.
Were you not on that show, Chef? I was thinking you were on that one. What is clap clap?
Dare I ask? I was about to ask. Does she want to know? I don't know.
Enlighten me. Turn your lower third off, Leah, if that's what needs to happen. Am I ready?
Yeah. You're ready. Okay, so when we started my show, I've done Momovation Show for like 4 and a half years now. Now we're on Google, but we used to be on Stickam. So back in the day when we were on Stickam, Klout started to become this big thing, right? What's your Klout score, yada yada yada. And Klout sent me this shirt that said, "Whoa, you have so much Klout," right?
And I wore it on my show one day.
And we used to do this thing in my community where when the girls would lose weight, we would clap our boobs together, right? Be like, yay! And so I did it one day, like, yay, I lost 5 pounds, yay! And so it was like I was clapping my clout instead of clout, you know what I mean? And everyone was like, clap, clap! You're clapping your clout! And that's where it came from. So in the Momivation community, when you lose weight, lose inches, do something really awesome, I give you a clout clap. It kind of looks like this. And you see all the girls up there with their big boobs. Because most of us have big boobs doing this, right? And some of us you can see stuff, some of us you can't. It's a fun thing.
I have to say, it's not as cool when I do it. I've tried it, and it's like, aww. I rely on Leah.
I can't believe I didn't know that for this long.
I am—
I am so much more rich and full now that I know that.
And my clout— coming from this area in my home, you know what I mean? Like, my boobs are part of my, you know, it's like a utility here. It's how I get things done, right, honey? When my husband's all like, you know, I don't know if I want to do that. Oh, let me just show you my clout, honey.
Okay, no wonder my clout score is so low. Everybody look at Chef's face, by the way. This is the best part. Chef is strangely silent.
And the first time we talked about Who was on the show with us? It was, god, Mia, who was on the show? Shannon. Yes. It was Shannon. And who else was it? Gosh, I'm just blocking it out. Their faces, the look on their faces was priceless because they so did not want to offend anybody. And they were sitting here like this. They want to laugh, but they don't want to be gross.
That's right, because it was Eli and Shannon. And then if you guys have seen the blooper— Like, she's clap clapping, and you see my head, like, I'm laughing so hard. Shannon is dying. Like, it's one of the best bloopers I've ever seen. So you've seen it, right, Leah, that you made the blooper reel?
I didn't see that! I want to see the blooper reel!
Oh, girlfriend, I will post it up for you. Mark Seidel, where are you? Post that blooper reel right here.
Here we go.
Greg Trulio wishes he could clap clap. I'm going to clap clap.
Clap-clapping that a guy could do.
And most of the women in my community are very well endowed in that area. And one of the girls is like a size G or something like that. Oh, bless her.
Is that in Gee Whiz?
She said, oh my God, do they make bras that big? And she's gone from a G bra to like a— she's lost over 100 pounds. So she went from that all the way to I think a triple D or a double D or something. But still a big bra. Yeah, the idea. I know.
At least you're going to get the size that you can get at the regular store. You don't have to go to like the special boobie store to get like the huge bra.
It just makes me want to have Tourette's and go, "Ooh, knockers." Anytime you want to do that, Mia, I think it would be acceptable.
Hey, I want to give a quick shout out to Tina Willis who's saying, "Wow, PegFixPatrick, I'm truly starstruck." She's out there shouting you out, by the way. And Tina was commenting on my last show. I didn't get to say hi to her. Clap clap for you, Tina. How's that?
I appreciate that you guys will do that, but I won't do that. It's all good.
Sometimes you've got to stay on the sidelines. It just barely took me— this is 2 or 3 times of a show now talking about it— to just get to it.
I'm happy to say that I have not gotten to the point in my life where I can clap clap.
There's still where they belong on me.
The man's ear. Man's ear, that's a problem.
Or the brow. Brow. That's right.
Oh my Lord. So actually Tina Willis and I are going to dinner tomorrow. There is a craft beer walk in Orlando and I'm not a beer drinker but I wanted to see more of Orlando and I'll taste them at least. My wife's going and Greg Trullier and Carol and Caperna are going. Seriously? You all better be drinking.
Pictures.
Yeah, you're gonna be, you know, I'm not, I'm still not really sure. I looked at a map of it and they're like all centrally located. Sam Adams is doing some big thing there too. So it's just, it's, you know, it's an excuse to get out and it seems like everybody down here really supports the community a lot, which is really cool.
So because it's always nice enough weather that you can go out and support.
Well, last Saturday we were doing chili We went to a chili cook-off last Saturday and my wife took the smallest umbrella that we own which barely covered us as the torrential downpours. Yeah, so yeah, it's not always perfect.
We lived in Florida for 8 years and the first time I drove down there to see my husband before we had gotten married, we were long distance, and I drove down there, I crossed the line from Georgia to Florida and immediately it started to rain. I'm like sunshine state my ass, are you kidding me?
I'd like to see that on the license plate.
How big are the mosquitoes? That's what I keep hearing about.
We haven't seen any yet. The winds keep blowing.
It's not that they're so big there, it's just that they're in vast quantity.
I'll tell you, I used to do a ton of work on construction projects down there and do my building inspection. I'd always go in the wintertime and I was like, ooh, this is nice. I think I'll come down here. And this is in northern, lower Alabama, we like to call it. And then I went for a project in the summertime, and I was like, man, those mosquitoes have a saddle on them. Like, that thing, I could see their eyeballs. They were so big. I was just shocked. And then there's those little palmetto bugs. So I will say—
which ones are the ones that bite?
I'd say all of them. Take your pick.
No, but I mean, like, it really hurts. We have black flies. Oh, wow. Yeah, pegs. They're teeny.
And there's horseflies, which are huge, and they leave like a big—
horseflies. I think it was the horseflies.
They love kids. My sister lives in New Hampshire, and we go up and visit in the summer. And my kids just bleeding just from the blackflies.
The blackflies are so bad.
They bite you. I think, Peg, I bet the ones in your area have saddles as well. They're just a different saddle.
You actually can't even see the blackflies. They're so small. Oh, they're little no-see-ums.
No, they're not no-see-ums.
They're bigger than no-see-ums, but they're small. They're really small, and they have— you can actually see their wings. They have like little white wings, but they actually take a chunk of skin out. They like bite. Oh, oh. And they leave this welt that lasts for— it's way worse than mosquito bite, right, Heather? Yeah, they're terrible. I mean, everyone should move here.
It's awesome. Gotta tell ya. What I love about Colorado, we really don't have that many bugs.
Now we may have fires, floods, lizards, and all manner of natural disasters. And pot. You guys have pot now, right?
We got a lot of pot. Amen, sister. And so I like it. It's not my cup of tea, but everybody's really chill. Yeah.
You know what I mean?
The brownie bake sales are doing awesome this week.
Yeah. And we really needed it after that Super Bowl. Oh, ouch. It was so sad. That was the pot bowl. Yeah, it was the Super Bowl.
The bowl. Yeah, Super Bowl. Yeah.
Well, and I love it when I posted that, and this got Leah all kinds of fired up. That is one thing I'm very excited is hemp. Let's talk about hemp.
That is the shiznitz. Hemp is the shiznaz.
Yeah, no, you can use hemp to do so many things now, and it's like so amazing. Because not only is it an amazing plant to just plant because it rejuvenates the soil, everything about it is just awesome. You can use it for so many things. You can use it for textiles. You can use it for clothes. You can use it for— Oh, food. Yeah. Food. We eat it all the time. I don't even know if I'd be tested for something because my kids eat hemp. I eat hemp. God only knows. That would be interesting if they tried testing the kids. Yeah, I know, I know. It's GMO-free, but the kids are eating hemp and they test positive for something. I think it's a different test, but whatever. There's so many things you can do with it. Now they're starting to use it in construction as well. They can make concrete actually far more strong and earthquake retrofit by putting hemp inside and stirring it all up together. It reinforces things. It's just amazing how many things that they can do with it and how inexpensive, and yet how much the farmers get for planting and selling it. It's like 10 times the amount as wheat, and yet it's illegal in pretty much all states but 4.
I think we can actually use it for PVC replacement, and speaking of bugs, it's bug resistant.
It's bug resistant, yes.
I mean, it's amazing.
Look at me, we get all wound up. And it's hypoallergenic too, because we got neoprene collars for our cats, and 2 of them were allergic, and so we bought hemp collars for those guys.
Kitays!
Colorado, you guys gotta try some hemp.
Yes, I know, you're like, send the hemp this way. Send it, send it, send it, California, Colorado.
Yeah, but it's hard to explain to people because the plants look so similar, you know, the pot plant to the hemp plant, so there's that part of it. And then I think just nationwide and explaining to people that it's a different plant, it's not gonna get you high, okay, and that's part of the problem with, you know, why there's just not like, you know, full acceptance of it, but there will be.
I mean, that is it because the THC is removed. I mean, all of that out of it, but it always cracks me up because then you've got these other things that are so powerful. You've got coffee. Coffee is like a crazy substance. Nicotine, booze, you know what I mean? Cigarette. Yeah, exactly. And so we've got this stigma, this almost century-old stigma against something that just— you do not hear people speeding on when they're high. Come on.
They're not killing people and they're not beating their wives and they're not, you know what I mean? They're not motivated. And if you want to gain a little bit of weight, you could just sit there and play video games all day with Xbox and Cheetos.
But let's not forget, fat carries flavor.
And if I have more carbs than Doritos.
So you don't have any of those problems in Texas, do you Holly?
No, never, never.
I watched a remake of Red Dawn. I watched that too. Did you watch that? But this time it was the North Koreans invading us through Seattle.
I love that movie.
Well, I went to the first one. Ain't no way in hell anybody's coming through Mexico and invading Texas with all the rifles they got in Texas.
Yeah, you're like, that's a big plot hole, isn't it?
No way. And then, you know, I'm thinking, well, they could take Seattle, maybe, I said, on a bad day.
I think they could take Denver now.
But the North Koreans, I'm thinking, they couldn't take it for very long. I'm thinking, those guys, no way, but never Texas.
Oh my God.
Speaking of I will cut you, I will shoot you is more like it.
Hey, well, that's how we won independence from England was, you know, We were all armed in our homes. Our militia dudes from New Hampshire and Vermont and Massachusetts fought. So there's a reason it's in our Constitution. Not to get all politically based because I'm really not, but there is a reason it's in our Constitution and that's why. It's because that's how we won our independence.
That's like historical. Oh hell yeah. I don't know how it was won, but yeah, it's kind of funny because it's just so part of, I don't know, like everyday life that you don't even think about it here. So it's always a little shocking when you go somewhere else and it's such a big deal. Like, I don't— it's because you just—
it's not a big deal. All I know in Florida, I went to the hospital to get some tests for allergies done, and at the front door of the Celebrations Hospital, Florida Hospital, it says leave all your No firearms and weapons outside. I'm paraphrasing it, but you know, it says no, you know, you're not— and I'm like, really? That, and they also have signs, they have billboards with the wait times for the emergency rooms here, and that just kind of freaks me out. It's like 10-minute wait time or half an hour wait time. I'm like, oh honey, the gunshot wound can wait. They got a 45-minute wait time.
Where do they show those?
There's billboards like you would have ads on the roads. And it says your wait times for adult and pediatric. It gives you two wait times.
That must be new since we were there. That's eerie.
Yeah, I have to take a picture and put it on Instagram.
Yeah, we have those here, and there's, there's also an app that you can put on that will tell you the closest waiting room with the shortest amount of time, which I'm like, when would you know to install that in time?
Probably that tells me that they might have had had trouble with, you know, waiting times in emergency rooms and had to pass some law. Did anything happen in Texas?
No, I mean, it's just, I think it's a marketing thing because it's these big billboards and stuff where they're just, I mean, there's an emergency room on every corner and it's not because of the guns.
Guns don't kill people, people. Are they like independent, Holly? Is it like independent urgent care?
Yeah, there's a lot of the kind of what we would call a doc in a box.
Doc in a box! I'm learning so many new things today. Is there a live anybody? No? Justin Timberlake? Sorry.
Oh, I just got that. Sorry. I was just like, I know I got this. I'm like, no. It took me a second.
It was a slow one.
Oh, but it was worth the wait, Peg. It was worth the wait. It was, it was. Doc in a box, right, right, right.
Of course.
That can be like the G version. Doc in a box. Doc in a box.
Still holding it right here.
Still holding the box right here. That's right. Woo! We digress.
Dennis, you're going to die when you see that later.
Oh, that's OK. You shall die. I'm just loving life. What a great way to spend Valentine's Day.
It's a good day to be Chef.
That's right. It's actually one of the most inappropriate skits ever on Saturday Night Live. They made them actually bleep it out. Yeah? It's almost all bleeps.
And it's still on a Saturday night really late, and even then it was like, yeah.
It was all bleeps.
Yeah, they just had to bleep it. Just the visual alone is really good.
But it's still the best sketch ever.
I think they won an Emmy for that, right?
I think they did.
But even then they had to bleep out when they won it. Oh my gosh! Poop in a box, you know what I mean?
Poop in a box.
Yeah, I have some terrible ideas for skits too, and I know my wife suffers through them sometimes. I always thought it would be great to do a a show for Reese's feces. Reese's feces? That's not chocolate?
Well, Chef, you came up with the idea for a zombie skit that we had the other day. We were having a good old time with that too.
Is that what you guys were talking about? Because I had the McRib GMO thing from McDonald's. It was awful. There's like this, like, yeah, there's like a picture of this zombie like eating this like bone with all all this blood everywhere and it says, "McDonald's McRib is back to town," or something like that.
We're Walking Dead fans, so we had been talking about that and it kind of digressed us being called the new Thelma and Louise. And we were looking for a sponsor and we thought maybe they would be the perfect person to sponsor this. We wanted to send Thelma to Florida so Chef Dennis Dennis could cook for. I said we needed to start a campaign for that.
The hashtag is #MamaLovesHerGroceries.
There we go. I think instead of McDonald's sponsoring the Olympics, they should be sponsoring The Walking Dead. That would be more relevant. No.
Appropriate. Okay, can I just ask this? Because then I'm going to get you all kinds of wound up. But so tell me, Leah, is there anything that McDonald's is doing right now that's even remotely okay? Have they gotten better at anything? Maybe Coke? No? That's got high fructose corn syrup in it.
Athena: Well, okay. They have like a breakfast something with egg whites and ham. I would say go get it, take off the bread and eat the egg whites and ham. The problem with McDonald's is they even said themselves, it's like 10% of their sales is based on the healthy choices. And they did the study. People are going in intending to make good choices, but they don't make the good choices there. So it's really interesting that they're trying to push themselves into the wellness community when we all know that's just a big load of hooey. You know what I mean?
When you walk in there, the last thing you're going to say is, "You know what?
I'm really going to pass up the fries." Exactly. Exactly. I mean, I go to— you know, when I'm going out to eat I'm doing fast food and I'm trying to be good, I'm going to Chipotle, I'm going to Panera, I'm going to like, you know, ethnic food.
We have Good Times in Colorado and they do, at least their chicken is, everything is non-commercial farming so I love that too. So at least I can have like Coleman beef and Redbird chicken and they have good practices. At least I can go for something with good practices.
I'm not buying it. Well, the good thing is Chick-fil-A because of Bonnie, you guys know who the Food Babe is, so Bonnie, you know, she went after Chick-fil-A for their antibiotics in the chicken, and they just recently, I think it was this week, they reported that they're going to take out the antibiotics in their chicken. I think that's fantastic. If McDonald's wanted to jump on that bandwagon, I'd give them a high five for that.
I wouldn't eat much, but—
Yeah, dump the healthy stuff. Yeah. I wouldn't even eat probably the breakfast sandwich because of the ham, too, because I'm so against commercial farming. I am from the Midwest. I'm contractually obligated to eat meat, so I'm trying to— you know what I mean?
I think that's another new plaque Me, a boss, is contractually obligated to eat meat.
I like that. When you're from the Midwest, that's what you do. You just make better choices.
I don't eat beef. I love the grass-fed stuff. Oh my God, it's so amazing. I can't eat regular beef, but I can eat grass-fed beef because regular beef just makes me sick. But the grass-fed stuff, oh my gosh, it's great. But it also has— I mean, it literally tastes different. And one of the reasons is it doesn't have as much fat. And so, I mean, grain— cows aren't meant to eat grain. They're meant to eat grass. So if they eat the grain, they get fat themselves. That's why. Oh, baby's pissed off. Happy Valentine's morning. I love grass-fed stuff. I'm a big milk person, but I love raw milk. That's my thing. I love raw milk, and I love grass-fed beef. Call me a hippie, but hey, I'm happy.
You'd fit in great here in Colorado.
I went to a butcher shop, and the guy was telling me this wonderful whole grain-fed, corn-fed beef, whatever. I said, "That's great, but do you have anything grass-fed?" He was like, "Well, people don't really like the way the grass-fed tastes." I said, "That's the way it's supposed to taste because they're eating what they're supposed to be eating. You're selling people something with a flavor profile that's been altered." Meredith: Right. You're talking about modified, right?
They're saying corn-fed, but all the corn they're eating, I don't think there's source unless you're growing it out in your backyard with your chickens. I'm sure it's all GMO. Yeah, it's all GMO.
The conventional feed that a cow, chicken, or fish, or any of those things eat is made of corn, soy, cottonseed oil, alfalfa, all of which are genetically modified. Then they put in one ingredient that's not genetically modified, which is wheat. They put it all together. They're eating genetically modified food. If you're getting any kind of conventional milk, any kind of dairy, or any kind of meat product, or chicken, or any of those things, they ate genetically modified feed. It's feed that's not meant— unless it's pigs. Pigs are, I think, a little different. They kind of eat slop. Cows are definitely, and fish are definitely those animals that— and chickens— not supposed to eat grain. You know what I mean? For the cows, they have an extra stomach just to process chlorophyll. That comes from grass. It's really interesting. What's happening with that? Because you got a lot of sick animals. What do they do when they get sick animals? They give them antibiotics. Well, I say don't put them in the situation to begin with. You don't have to do that.
That goes back to treatment, to ethical treatment. Yeah. There's a lot. Sorry, guys.
It's a tough one.
I know we're trying to feed millions and millions and millions of people. To let every cow in the universe run around like a happy cow eating grass, there's not enough room.
There's not enough grass either. That's the other problem. There isn't enough grass because there's snow everywhere, right? And so when are they going to eat? When are they going to actually eat grass? Well, even in California we run out of grass because we have a drought. And so what has actually happened is not so much that cow is bad, you know, just eating the cow, it's that the amount that we've eaten, that we now consume compared to how much we consumed in the 1950s. So the methane gas produced by cows I think is the number one reason for climate change or something like that, or the ozone depletion. That's not— it's not cows are bad. It's like, geez, do we need that many? Do we need to eat that much? I mean, do we really? I mean, I don't have a problem with it.
But we sold that— I mean, we were sold that bill of goods, you know, beef, it's what's for dinner. And if you're— so if you're not cooking beef, you're not feeding your family well or something.
So that's all kinds of screwed up. He's a chicken man. He's like, did I used to have a big He wants to know, did it have a beak? Did it have wings?
I want to make sure if I'm going to eat chicken, I want to know that it had a beak and that it had— yeah, she had a beak, right? And walk around and all that. We have chickens.
That's a whole other show. Yeah.
Do you have chickens? Oh man, those are the best eggs ever.
Yeah, we have chickens in my backyard too, and I get fresh eggs every day, 3 to 4 a day. And I got to tell you, there is nothing like fresh eggs.
Yeah, they are the best. The best.
Speaking of the chicken, Bob Voss approves.
Bob is in an approving sort of mood today. He's approving of everything.
You talk about boobs, women, chicken, food.
Can we just for a second talk about dark chocolate covered bacon because that is my favorite thing now. Look at Chef. I can't get out my word in like 20 minutes.
There is this—
oh, it's like a gourmet candy bar. And I'm trying to remember off the top of my head.
It's Voska's. Yes! Yes! It's Moe's Bacon Bar.
Talk to me more about that.
It's nitrate-free bacon that she used too, by the way. Just wanted to put that out there.
Actually, I love that company. It's by a woman. It's a female entrepreneur who went to France. France and learned how to make the absolute best chocolate and it's all organic. Everything is earth-friendly about their company. Everything. Everything that they put— Vosges, V-O-S-G-E-S. I don't like chocolate but I do like Vosges. They have one that's a Barcelona bar that's salted caramel. It's like sea salt. Their chocolate is amazing. They have a Bo's Bacon Bar. My husband likes that one.
I have to say I like sweet bacon but I prefer caramel flavors with bacon to chocolate.
I've never tried caramel with bacon. Yeah, like we'll put it in— Hey, Jenny, can you make some and send it to me because I've never tried it.
I actually, I made last year sometime, I did a peanut brittle with, I don't know, I think hard cider and bacon in the peanut brittle. That was pretty delicious.
I'll tell you what my favorite— yeah, you know my favorite? I love doing a cayenne pepper with sugar and then you just drizzle it on the bacon and put it in the oven and bake it. Oh, it's hot and sweet together. Lovely. I got to try this Vodka's. Plus it has the first 3 letters of my last name. I'm down.
It was made for you.
It was made for me. I love it.
That's awesome. I like how Peg has— does anybody notice how she's got the color-coordinated books in her background too, by the way? I noticed that!
I thought I was the only one.
I was looking going, "Whoosh, look at that!" I have a couple different things.
It's like a rainbow back there.
It is. I have my other ones that are rainbow.
You also have your pens on the side too.
I'm like obsessed with Sharpies. Shall we just talk about that?
Let's talk about that. Here we go.
Ooh, and Sharpies. And with my little A's. This is the kind of stuff that my boss sends me. This is a guy who sends me pencils with apes on it.
We need to go visit each other's house. We can go to Peg's house with a bunch of white paper and draw a bunch of stuff. And then we go down to Jenny's and she's going to feed us with some desserts.
There you go. I can bake.
And then Heather's going to sing for us. It'll be a progressive dinner party with music and food. In one place and the food in another place. Dennis Littley will hook us up too.
Don't forget the hemp seeds and the guns at the table. That'll be fun.
Florida has some pretty loose gun laws here. I keep telling them I can get a permit to carry. I said, why would I want one? Just because I can. I don't think I'd ever carry a gun. I would just like to have the permit.
I think for a lot of people, just because I can is enough reason.
They're like, whoa. Well, then you should all move to New Hampshire because we're the Live Free or Die state.
Oh, you guys are hardcore over there.
Totally hardcore.
We don't have legalized pot, but that's next on the menu.
I guess that's what you guys are going to do when you come to Colorado then. We just don't care.
We don't care if there's a law or not.
You have to change your motto to Live High or Die. Exactly.
It is the Mile High City. People love our motto.
It's pretty awesome. If they don't know anything else about New Hampshire, everybody knows Live Free or Die.
Well, there's no room for any indecision there.
Straightforward. We don't want any taxes, we don't want you telling us what to do. No taxes at all.
Well, now I'm a Texan. It kinda is.
Take the taxes away from us in California. Oh my God, I'm dying here.
You guys pay a lot to live there. It's still expensive here, honestly, just because we're a a smaller state and we have no taxes, they still have to figure out ways to get everything paid for. We go register our car, it costs a bazillion dollars.
They got to get you somewhere.
It's just other ways.
Speeding tickets if you're half a mile an hour over the speed limit or something.
Then you do the clap and get out of it. Come on. There's where it comes in. I won't do it live on camera, but if I get pulled over, come on. The truth comes out.
They might catch you on the dash cam though. You got to be careful about that.
No, I'm not going to jinx myself, but I never get tickets.
Oh, you heard it here first. Oh yeah, I know. I love it.
It's going to be a new episode of Bad Girls, Bad Girls, What You Gonna Do?
Try to drive on the speed limit, sir.
My bad. How about a clap clap clap?
Yeah, really. Well, I remember seeing a little—
It's my lower third.
Come on. Gotta love it.
You know what you asked for, getting all of us women together, Shet.
Absolutely.
You know what you were walking into. You just gotta keep your mouth shut and keep smiling, and that's all. That's it. That's it. That's it.
You don't get to be this get old without knowing how to shut up every now and then.
Somebody wants Heather to sing something a little bit.
Could you sing us a little something, Heather?
I don't have my guitar up here. I have to go get it. How about a little acapella? No, no, you guys are silly.
We will have it back.
I'll play for you later. I'd be second best after Chef Dennis Littley serenaded us.
I'm not going to be second after that.
Didn't play an instrument though, so just—
my guitar needs to be strung. It's in the closet. Well, we are hitting the 2-minute mark, so we're gonna go once around the table here for a last round, and then we're gonna have to say goodbye. But Heather, thanks again for being here. I hope you had fun today.
I had so much fun. You guys are awesome.
And we look forward to hearing you sing. You're gonna have to let us know when you do your—
I definitely I definitely will let you.
I expect a clout clap from everybody. It can be a silent clap.
I would like a clap. Hands-free.
We'll have to pan the audience for that. I'll have to hold up a lighter like the old days.
From now on at my shows, that's what you've got to do.
Awesome. Awesome.
Never stop learning, Heather. Never stop learning.
Something every day. Sometimes it's not even meaningful.
Right? And Holly, thank you for coming on, taking some time out with us. And any last words you'd like to leave us with?
No, it just has to be a fun day, and this certainly helped it get that way. Thanks so much. I'm glad you enjoyed.
Have a great Valentine's tonight.
Have fun with the activities. Oh my gosh, all the activities.
But like, yes, get out your craft scissors, your safety scissors, the safety scissors.
And then yeah, like It's one of those holidays that everything has been Valentine's and then starting tomorrow, what do we do?
St. Patrick's Day.
Time to move the Pinterest boards over.
Time for the shamrocks.
There you go.
Jenny, thank you for coming on, taking some time out. I hope we offered you some fun today in your afternoon of snow. Absolutely.
I had a great time. It was a lot of fun.
I'm glad you could come on. I always love having you on. We're actually coming on together next week. Next Thursday, yes.
I'm so excited. We're doing a show that might become a series called So You Think You Know Food with Jamie Schwörer who lives in Nantes, France, and David Leite who is in New York, and Domenica Marchetti who lives in Virginia, and we're going to be talking about cuisines, what we think we know about them versus what the reality is if you're living in that country where the food comes from. Dennis Littley is going to be our tech wonderful guru and bring his professional chef's eye to the whole conversation. I'm going to try and keep everybody in line.
It should be a lot of fun.
I'm really looking forward to it. That's 10 AM Eastern Standard next Thursday.
Are you good at keeping people in line, Jenny?
Absolutely not. We can definitely go off the rails. Go off the rails, but we're going to try our hardest.
And with me as their tech guru, I'm telling you too, we're two weak points in this conversation. They have some great talent there.
But yes, it's a great panel of people. They live all over and have, you know, know so much about the cuisine that they're going to be representing. David is Portugal, Domenica is Italy, and Jamie is doing France, and it should be really interesting, I think.
That's neat.
—Be fun. Alright, and Leah, thank you so much for being here today in your horny hole.
Horny? Whoa, horny! That's appropriate, right?
She forgot she had a mod, she's like, what is he talking about?
Whoa!
You gotta tweet that or something. Do I get the next meme? Oh, wait a minute. I'm scared what that Mimi would say. Blooper reel and I'm going to get a Mimi. Peg, you're probably smart to keep your clouts down there.
I keep it under wraps.
Everybody gets with the police. I have no shame. I guess that's my problem. I don't know. Thanks for having me on, Chef. These ladies, I mean, getting to know you guys, amazing. I just had so much fun. I just— thank you.
It was a great day. And Mia, thank you so much for popping on after your show. I really appreciate that.
Thank you, my brother from another mother. You know, anything for you. And I gotta tell you guys, I'm freaking starving now. I am too, actually. In closing, fat carries flavor.
Words to live by. Live free and die in fat carries flavor. My tie and hand-in-hand actually. Peg, thank you so much for taking time today to be with us. I know you got so much on your calendar with your boss and everything too.
My multiple bosses.
Yeah, you got a good life there though.
I was going to say, I'm totally blessed. Okay, funny thing though, both of my bosses, which would be Guy and my husband, They talk to each other now, so that's just—
Oh boy. Oh no, no, no.
I'm like, pull the car over. Yeah, okay. So thanks for having me. I appreciate it and it was wonderful to hang out with all of you ladies. I had only hung out with Holly before, so it was great to meet everybody. Me too.
It was nice to meet some of you.
We'll have another Pinterest Google+ business hangout. Business thing thingy. One of those ones where we talk about strategy and marketing. We'll have to do one of those too.
I know. Can y'all be in the serious one? This originally was going to be called the Sistahood of the Traveling HOA. I had to change it and Leah was gracious enough to grant me use of her patented copyrighted trademark Sistahood. I had to change it to the Sweethearts of Google+ because that's how I think of all of you as really the sweethearts and I love having you on and talking to you, and you guys really do make my day sometimes, just a comment or a +1, as do many of the other plusers out there. I just really love being on here. The social aspect of Google+ is just wonderful. We've made so many wonderful friends here. So thank you, ladies. Absolutely. Thank you. Have a great Valentine's Day. Happy Valentine's Day, everybody. We wish you the best and enjoy your day, my friends. Bye-bye. Bye.
