Hey, my friend. Welcome to the Derek Old podcast. So glad you are here. Really wanted to record a special bonus episode, really to talk about 2020. It's been as you know, a different year than we have ever experienced. And I want to, I want to say you made it. You made it through the year. We're at the end of 2020 fixing, heading into 2021. I just got finished working on a special project we'll release probably next week to help you with 2021, hopefully. So that's exciting. But as I sit back and think about 2020, you know, it was, you made it, man, you made it. It's something that was. We're not ready for, we're not prepared for it. But we adjusted and we kept pushing through. You kept pushing through. You know, our clients, our customers have been fantastic this year. It's really humbling and almost unbelievable how well everyone adjusted to the new normal and how our team, we kept showing up every day to serve our clients and that's something really special and something I do not take for granted. And you showed up, I mean, you went to work. We had the, you know, the essential employees, a new word kind of essential personnel going to work during the pandemic and the frontline workers, healthcare, food delivery, things like that. And of course, you know, us doing H vac and heating and air and home was an essential task. But man, our team, we showed up every, every day to serve our clients. And you showed up every day for you, for your family. Thank you so much for letting us serve you and letting us come into your home, provide our service to you to keep our families going. And I mean, sorry, you hear a little bit of knocking around. Yes, some of some guys on the roof, they're also essential, they're fixing the roof here. But I really just wanted to speak to you today from, from the heart, from a place of gratitude and, and to tell you and to encourage you, hey, you made it. Something to be very proud of. You persevered. You made it in 2021. A new year, a different, different time. You know, everybody kind of conditioned to, you know, the social distance, mask wearing society. We are. But I just wanted to give you a word of encouragement because it hasn't been easy for anyone. You know, with Ms. I have Ms. You know, I'm part of the vulnerable people because of my. The medication I take suppresses the immune system. So it makes me, you know, vulnerable to the things like Covid and, you know, the flu and the cold and. But man, you, I mean, the team showed up. You showed up every day, something to be proud of. You fought, you just didn't lay down and take it and, you know, binge on Netflix for the, you know, for eight months. You showed up, you went to work, you provided for your family, you provided for this economy and for others. You guys just supporting us. I mean, there's a bunch of people affected by our company. Just, you know, with our, with our team and the families connected, it's so, so important to support, you know, small business, business in general. So thank you for that. So, so proud of how 2020 was handled within our company and again, how they showed up. And I'm excited for 2021. I'm excited to get back at it and hopefully get back to something more that looks like the normal we're all used to. But either way, we have shown this year, our team has shown uf shown whatever happens, we can adjust, take it on face first, take it on and overcome. It's really encouraging to see this activity because again, it's something where we were not, I mean, this time last year we're not even thinking about a pandemic happening and how we're going to adjust and work in the economy and live day to day and virtual schooling and, you know, staying at home and, you know, still working, working from home. And it's just amazing to always see the human spirit and how we can persevere and overcome and adjust. So anyway, that's it. That's all I wanted to say. I wanted to encourage you because I know it's been difficult, it's been a hard year for everyone, but I also wanted to give you a pat on the back, say, you know, good job, good job because you made it, you made it. So I'll see you soon and talk to you soon. Until then, Merry Christmas. Happy New year. Here's to 2020.
