Thanks again for listening. And let's begin. Hey, what's up everyone? Derek Cole here and coming from my front porch again today. But I want to talk about refrigerant real quick because it gets questioned quite a quite a few times. It's basically homeowners asking about Freon. I need refrigerant, I need to fill up, I need a recharge. And some of them actually just they've heard or they have been doing this for a number of years as far as their refrigerant and their AC unit. And I'm coming on to tell you that is not normal. That is not good. That's not what you want to be doing. You're heating and air system is a closed system, meaning it uses refrigerant, but it doesn't use up refrigerant. It doesn't eat refrigerant. It's kind of like your body and your blood. Okay? You don't go to the hospital. At least I hope you don't every year to get a refill on blood because you're running low. Same thing with your AC unit. You shouldn't be having to refill it every single year. You should have whoever's working on it find the leak, fix the leak and recharge it to the right amount. It shouldn't be something you do on a yearly basis. Again, if your arm, if you're bleeding from your arm and you're losing blood from your arm, okay, it's kind of like scenario of you see it leaking from your arm, but you're going to hospital to get a refill on blood because you're losing it in your arm. Well, they're going to say, why don't we just fix your arm and you want to come back to get more blood. And it's kind of the same principle with your AC unit. You want to find the leak, fix the leak and be done with it. Just like if you were to run low on blood, you would not feel good, your body would not operate correctly. Your AC unit is the same way. If it's running low on refrigerant, it's not going to be operating at peak efficiency, which is what you want. Especially with this hot weather coming. You want to operate where it should operate at and not be trying to play catch up all day long because it's low refrigerant and it's constantly having to make it different.
