Hey, this is Derek Cole, and welcome to episode 500 of the podcast. 500, you mean? It's unbelievable. Thank you for your support. Thank you for listening. Thank you for those on YouTube watching. Recently been publishing these on YouTube as well as the podcast, because on YouTube we have over at this point, over 500 subscribers on YouTube. But I was doing some, I was doing some research. You know how I like to have, have numbers to back up what's happening. But according I want to Google, according to Amplify and podcast Pod News, 44% of podcasts have less than three episodes. Only 720,000 podcasts have more than 10 episodes. And of that number, only 156,000 release weekly episodes. And y' all know this, but this podcast drops twice a week. This is episode 500. Thank you for that. And I also wanted to spend some time this episode speaking of something special to my heart, which is during the month of March, which we're in currently, as I speak, we do orange out ms, as you know, which is even better for, for you for listening. I have Ms. I have multiple sclerosis. So I've, you know, difficulty speaking, slurring are a few of the things I deal with. But during the month of March, our team, instead of wearing yellow shoe covers in the home, we switch out to orange shoe covers. Orange is the color of Ms. So we have a campaign, we call it hashtag Orange out Ms. We encourage our customers take photos with. We have orange cards with some facts on them. Take a photo with the card. Take a photo wearing orange. Anyone take a photo wearing orange. Hashtag it orange Ms. On social media will find it. For every photo we take or you take, we donate $10 to the National Ms. Society. So last year, 2022 was our biggest year because of you, we donated $3,841. That's huge. So thank you so much for the support. But I thought no better way to spend episode 500 and then talking about something very important and dear to my heart, which is MS, of course. I was diagnosed in 202012 with Ms. So it's been in quite a journey through the years of battling Ms. And still going through it and treatments and medications and kind of adjusting to my new normal of what life is. So I just want to say thank you for that. Thank you for your support, thank you for everything you've done. Thank you for your prayers. And more importantly, I know quite a bit of you are, are praying for me, if not daily praying for me. I really do appreciate that has been it's been quite the journey. So thank you again for the support thank you for the support of this podcast, of this YouTube page. If you're watching YouTube, I just can't thank you enough for, for everything you've done for, for us and the support you've given us throughout the, throughout throughout the year. So thank you again for that. We're gonna come back at episode 501 with the regularly scheduled home and energy, comfort and everything you usually listen for. But this, this time, want to take a time out, celebrate episode 500, talk about orange out Ms. And, and again, just come and say thank you to you, the audience, to you that listen every single time this mic turns on. But reading of those podcast stats again, we're in, we're in different territory than all the other podcasts out there. Only 156,000 podcasts release weekly and we do it twice a week. But so thank you for your support, thank you for keeping this ad free. As of yet, we have not put ads on our podcast. We've not had sponsors on podcasts yet. So thank you for that. Thank you for your support and we'll talk to you next time.
After 22 blood tests, five doctors, three vision exams, and two MRIs, doctors at Duke University diagnosed me with multiple sclerosis.

You know, an odd thing happens when you first learn you have Ms. Relief is the only thing you feel relief to finally get an answer. But after physical and cognitive struggles, I very much realized the significance of my diagnosis. Still, I'm blessed to have a small army of friends and family praying for me daily. And I have definitely experienced miracles because of those prayers. Now I want to help others living with Ms. Get the miracles they they desperately need. During the month of March, every technician at Simmons One Hour will wear orange shoe covers instead of our standard yellow. Join us Help raise Ms.
Awareness.
Snap a photo of yourself wearing something orange for every photo posted online with the hashtag OrangeOutMS. Simmons One Hour will donate $10 to National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Get details@simmons1hour.com.
