Podcast episode ("583. Stop Wa$ting Energy and Seal It") — a promotional/informational segment (host SPEAKER A) about Aeroseal duct-sealing for homeowners. The speaker explains the Aeroseal patented process (inspection, computerized pressure testing, aerosol sealant that adheres and "stacks" at leaks), lists benefits (energy savings, improved indoor air quality, steadier temperatures, less dust), cites numeric claims (Energy Star: ~30% leakage; people spend ~90% of time indoors), notes the job is typically completed in a single day (<8 hours), and highlights proof via before/after computer printouts and a 10-year warranty. The speaker also cautions the treatment may not be necessary for every home (pretest can show low leakage).

Welcome back to the podcast, everyone. Thank you for joining us. Stop wasting energy and seal it. What am I talking about? What are you talking about? Derek, when was the last time you gave serious thought to her home's dirt work? Serious. For many homeowners, duct sealing is one of the kind of invisible, necessary things to do. It's a vital component to home efficiency, comfort, and yet so many have overlooked what's available. However, not all duct ceiling is created equal. We use aeroseal. Aeroseal is an innovative technology designed to transform the way homes achieve peace peak performance. Air seal is a game changer for homeowners who value better indoor air conditions and energy savings. By understanding this, you can make your living space an energy efficient haven for clean air. Imagine, step back a little bit, kind of, let's understand air seal duct sealing. So imagine millions of microscopic air seal glue type ready to seal particles moving through your home's duct system, your home's ductwork, sealing every leak it finds. This is eviction. This is air seal. This is what happens. It's a patented process that targets and seals air leaks from the inside of the duct, significantly improving efficiency and comfort for your home. But how does it work? How, what's in for you? You know what, how does it work? So let's talk about the technology. The air seal process starts with a thorough inspection of your home's duct system. That way we assess the ductwork, the extent of leaks. We do a pressure test with the computer, computerized system. It measures the duct air loss and calculates the precise amount of sealant needed and begins to install that sealant into the system. It's a safe, non toxic aerosol. It's released in the ductwork and the particles adhere to edges or leaks or it all works on air pressure. And as the system airstream pushes the particles towards the leak, they stack up and seal the leak, totally sealing the leak without compromising any other areas in the in the process. It's amazing, they actually stack on each other and seal the leak. Air pressure is lost, right? So it attacks that air pressure loss and seals the leak with that safe. Almost like an Elmer's glue substance. But it's aerosol right now, so it can fly through there, fly through the air and seal those places. For homeowners, air seal promises benefits ranging from reduced energy consumption to cleaner air at home. Energy Star estimates that the annual loss from duct leakage alone. Duct leakage alone now is at 30%. Meaning sealing your ducts with their seal could translate to significant savings. Comfort is also at the front seat of this, as rooms are able to maintain more constant temperatures and may even notice less dust in the house because you have better airflow air distribution and it reduces the amount of dust outside because now those leaks are sealed. So we're going to. Regardless. Excuse me. Regardless of attic or crawl space, you're breathing cleaner air. Leaky ducts can act very easily. Is a very easy entry for contaminants such as dust, mold spores, insulation particles. By eliminating these entry points, your home's air quality sees improvement, protecting the health of you and your loved ones. Now I understand routine, routine dusting, dusting of the house. Not always fun though. But routine dusting can feel like an endless task in dusty households. However, when your ducks are efficiently sealed, you'll see a noticeable reduction in the amount of dust that builds in your living spaces. Now, it's not going to totally, you can't, you cannot totally eliminate dust. But if dust is entering through that duct system, if you're getting air from the crawl space, air from the attic into your home, and it's causing a dust problem, it's going to solve that problem. It also boosts your energy efficiency. Home efficiency isn't only good for your wallet, it's good for the environment. Air seal plays a critical role in cutting back your energy consumption and your home's carbon footprint. If your H vac system is working overtime to get to compensate for leaks, it stands reason your energy bills are higher than they need to be. Duck seedling with aerosol effectively helps you weather the seasons without breaking the bank by reducing the strain on your heating and cooling system. It's amazing. It is not futuristic. It is here today. We have used it for years. We have hundreds of homes. We've done, we got a lot of satisfied clients. No one's ever called and say, you know what? I wish I, you know, I wish I didn't have my duck sealed. Because it's a computer, it gives you a printout when you get done of where you started, where you finished, how much sealing has taken place, how much better your airflow is. So it is proof. It is not imaginary, is not us telling you what's happening. It is a printout from a computer saying, hey, you're at 22% leakage and now you're 3% leakage. It is tangible, real data that we give you so you can see for yourself what's going on with your duck system. Now, choosing air seal isn't just about upfront convenience. It's an investment in your home's comfort and value. The track record of longevity and performances is tough to beat. I mean, offering peace of mind for years to come. This comes with a 10 year warranty. 10 year warranty. Again, you get a, you get to keep and you get a computer printout of where your leakage started versus after air seal. Duct sealing. What is accomplished in less than eight hours of work? We can do this in one day, folks. It's not a process. We're not taking you down for a long time, for days. We're not not doing repairs, fixing things. This is less than one day, less than eight hours. Don't wait until your home performance hits a low. Take proactive steps to ensure you're enjoying every moment within your four walls that studies show now we spend 90% of our time indoors. 90% of your time is indoors. So are you ready to breathe easier, enjoy more comfortable, energy efficient air and home? If so, give us a call. Let's look at duck settling. It's not for every single person. Now, we have been to homes before. We've done that, what we call a pretest, seeing where the leakage is and saying, hey, you only got a 5% leakage. You know, that time investment to bring it down a couple percentage points is not really worth it. We've had that happen before. So we're gonna do what's best for you and let you decide what needs to happen. But errors to duck sidling can be a game changer.
