Hey, what's up, guys? Welcome to the Derek Cole Podcast. This is Derek Cole, and I wanted to talk real quick about kindness. Yesterday there was a comment on one of the company posts on Facebook, which is a video of me explaining the air filters were given away for free. I kind of doing a little demo of that. And. And the lady, I guess, saw the video and said, well, let me read the quote. She actually says, I don't spread some fake news. She said, this guy sounds like he is high, slower speeds, for sure. So the company responded, and then I responded with. I just responded with her name, and I said I thought it sounded pretty good. Sorry about that. Look, after. After almost eight years, over seven years, and I think I saw on Facebook over 15 billion video views just on Facebook. This is not the first time I've heard this. So we explained to her, you know, I have Ms. And, you know, to fix, you know, these areas of your life. One of them. Speech, which I did, you know, I thought it sounded pretty good because nowadays I can really. I really only choose to record when I can, when I'm rested, when I'm good, when, you know, I can communicate effectively and not, you know, sound too bad. Of course, I can't prevent, you know, anything from, you know, sounding the way it's gonna sound because, you know, things. Things happen and I have mf. So anyway, I responded with that kindness. You know, I went on to post on my page and Instagram, look, hashtag kindness always wins. Because there's. There's no reason for us to go back and forth with words or, you know, shame her into, you know, the disease she didn't know I had. She just made a snap judgment of what she saw. And really, I was not, you know, after all these years and all these videos and all these views, it's not the first time I've heard it. I was not, you know, offended and upset about it. Now I sent it to some people and the office saw it, and they were upset and they were offended because they usually don't see those kind of things. And really, this is the first time I've. I've shared that happening to. To a number of people. And my point was, you know, stop making snap judgments of somebody because you see one thing and you might not know what's going on in their life. But kindness always wins. It's always in your best interest to be kind. Because when you read the news or watch the news or watch political stuff, I mean, everybody's taking jab is. Everybody just gets so exhausting and you're just like, can't we just have a civil conversation? And it's fine if we disagree, but we should respect the point of view if it can be made. So, anyway, quick podcast, quick thought. And it's really just. Just being kind. I mean, just being kind. Kindness always wins. There's. I mean, there's enough. There's enough bad things in the world and attitudes and fighting, you know, control what you can control. I can't control what she thinks. All we can do is educate her. Look, I have ms, multiple screws. This is this. It affects this. That's all we can do. And, you know, I can give my opinion. Hey, I thought it sounded pretty good. I'm sorry about that. And truly, I was sorry. I was sorry I made her feel that way, that I came off in that way to her. I was really sorry. And, you know, some people scolded me for saying I'm sorry, but she then responded and she was sorry, and she apologized. And, you know, she realized that she made a snap judgment and didn't know the whole situation. And that was. That was kind of my point, to post it. Not to shame her, just to make the point of. Look, we. We have no idea. We got to stop making judgments. We got to stop judging people just on one piece of literal information. So, anyway, kindness always wins.
