UV is a Powerful Solution

UV light in HVAC systems works like bringing the sun indoors to kill mold and microbial growth in cooling coils and drain pans. It prevents the buildup that happens in dark, damp places where sunlight can't reach.

Hey, this is Derek Cole. Welcome to the Derek Cole Podcast. Thank you so much for listening. And the majority of this podcast come from clips of videos with Q and A sessions. Sometimes I put the clip, sometimes the whole show. But usually the clips are kind of bite sized pieces, so you don't, you know, have to listen to me all the time for, you know, seven, 10 minutes. But these are helpful clips and I hope you enjoy it. Again, let's get right into it.
UV is, is a powerful product. I mean, it's the sun. You're basically bringing the sun inside your system, which is in a damp, dark spot. I mean, when you think about it, you got hot air coming across a coil, which is then cooling the air down and then dripping and then things in the pan. It's dark, it's damp, there is no sunlight. Things start to happen. That's pretty nasty. UV can handle that problem. So if you, you know, if you think about the north side of a house or if you're in the woods, the north side of a tree has moss on it, right? That's because it gives no uv. Things start to grow, right? So we can take that same power, put it inside your system.
