Dharmesh Shah has started three companies and worked a salaried job for only 18 months. Once you found a startup, you become unemployable in the traditional sense. The skills and mindset required for founding make it hard to go back.

Yeah, I just, I love startups. I grew up in engineering. I've been programming for a long, long time. I've been essentially a tech engineering startup guy. HubSpot's my 3rd startup. I've had a real job with a real paycheck, I think, for about 18 months of my professional career. And then, as you know, like once you start a company, essentially you're essentially unemployable, right? So it's like you can't actually work anywhere anymore.
