I want to introduce you to this concept. It's called the Journey of Transformation. And, uh, I kind of scrolled it on up here, but I did the rest nice and neat so you could see it. But what I found is many people don't experience transformation because we get stuck in this loop. We do, of course, our life is profoundly shifted for the better, potentially forever. And, um, this is the model. So when you are considering something, when we are at what's called the choice stage. Often that's triggered by, you can see the word dissatisfaction below that. And by the way, I have this graphic at recessionresponse.com if you want to follow along that way. It's free, no signups or anything. But we have a choice right now in this moment that we can make based upon, rooted off on dissatisfaction. We're not content with something. Well, we see the options that are out there and then we commit to that one of the options. Oh, I'm going to do that. Well, we have optimism. But it's unenlightened optimism. And what I mean by that is you may have been told what the offering is, you may understand what you're going to get from a logical standpoint, but we're jaded by optimism, so we actually don't comprehend it. So we haven't hit that enlightenment stage of what's going to be required of us. We're just like, this is it, this is that I needed, I've been looking for this forever. Have you experienced that? You, you get an app, you're like, this app is the best, this is finally what I've been looking for. And then you start using it for a period of time, you're like, eh, it's kind of meh, until you find the next app, you're like, this is the app. Well, the commitment stage is that unbridled optimism. What happens is we start to get clarity on the expectation, the demand on us, what the app requires from us. So there's an awareness and there's also overwhelm. My gosh, I gotta do so much. I gotta move all this data. It's gonna be so much work. And only way to see through this chasm now that that clarity puts us into is effort. The problem with effort is there is work without reward. I mean, you gotta do stuff, but you don't see or glean the immediate benefit. Therefore, it can result in frustration. And it's in this downward slide that the dangerous shiny object syndrome presents itself. SOS. Shiny object syndrome is, oh, there's another app that can fix that. So we're dissatisfied with our current path, we make a commitment to a new app, and we start this loop. Of never moving ourselves forward. There's constant frustration. Well, the way out of the frustration, of course, is by seeing results. That's work with reward. So as you put in work and don't receive reward, when you start seeing results, you see the benefit, and that starts triggering momentum. We're like, okay, I'm seeing some results. Maybe this is working. Oh, there's certain options in this app that are really beneficial, and the other ones I can disregard. Well, we start having results. That starts bringing about transformation, a new identity for ourself, or what this app means, or whatever this choice means. And it builds resilience. We stick with it. We love this new thing because it's transformed our lives. Well, you'll see there's a shortcut to crossing this chasm, if you will. And it's a driving purpose. Why are we doing this in the first place? You see, the clarity has always been there, or at least the details has already been there, just hasn't been in a clear state. It's always been there. So It's not like the app is changing on you while you're using it necessarily. But when we get overwhelmed in our mind with all these details, that's where we go into this frustration, effort without reward, work without reward. A driving purpose means that there's a reason we're doing this that is greater than the pain we're experiencing. This needs to be done. I need to resolve this. I need to get to the end result and I'm committed to it. Find a driving purpose in your choice, often tied back to a life's purpose, and you'll move to transformation much quicker. Otherwise, if you don't do that, you may get caught in the trap like I have where it's shiny object, this is amazing, oh my God, I can't do this. New shiny object, this is amazing, oh my God, I can't do this. And getting looping here and looping here. The journey of transformation is expedited by a driving purpose. I hope this serves you.
