In this conversational excerpt, Speaker A discusses admiration for Taylor Swift's business acumen and the passionate, sometimes defensive Swiftie community, questioning how Swift balances fan engagement without allowing toxic behavior. Speaker A also shares a personal plan to attend Swift's December concert in Vancouver, noting a connection with Vancouver's mayor, Ken Sim, who will host a mayor's suite at the event, offering a chance for A and a friend, Krista, to sit with him and possibly meet Swift. The dialogue blends analysis of Swift's brand strategy with a personal anecdote about leveraging a mastermind network for a unique concert experience.

I'm not a Swiftie. I'm not either. I'm an admirer in what she's accomplished. I am fascinated by the business model and how she's sparked a community around the Swifties. But also interesting, there's such a defensiveness in that community. Sometimes there can be vitriol and stuff. So that's really interesting dynamic. How does she navigate that? How does she keep her clients engaged but not from going too far, which they have had the tendency to do in certain circumstances and in retaliation and protection of her? I am going to see Taylor Swift.
You are?
Yep. In December, I'm gonna go to Vancouver. Krista and I are flying out to Vancouver to see her perform.
Is this Krista's wish?
No, it's a mutual wish. I love her music and I have an opinion. I don't necessarily think she's the best music writer or the best songs in the world, but I think collectively her talent, her persona, and her music collectively is the best ever. My friend happens to be the mayor of Vancouver, and we're gonna talk about in a future episode, we're gonna talk about masterminding. My friend Ken Sim is his name. Ken Sim is in my mastermind, and one of his aspirations was to become mayor, and he's become mayor of a major city, Vancouver. He has the mayor's suite at the concert. He said, I can invite some friends. You got, you know, pay your own way and tickets and stuff, but he's like, you can sit with me. You take a place. So we have an amazing seat, and some celebrities may be— Maybe joining you. Coming through or not, we don't know. And maybe, maybe, maybe a long shot, I can brush elbows with Taylor Swift for a second.
