Your intestinal lining has tight junctions that keep toxins out and let nutrients in. Stress, toxins, and irritating foods can break these junctions apart, letting undigested food and waste leak into your blood and cause inflammation. Healing the epithelial lining restores the barrier.

Hey, Dr. Moms, let's learn about leaky guts. I drew this out for you. This is what a normal gut looks like. This is the intestines with the cells called epithelial cells all tightly joined together. And when you eat, nutrients goes right into your blood and that's all normal. That's, that's what we want. But let's say you or your child's exposed to stress, toxins, irritating foods. This can disrupt that intestinal lining. You see now these aren't so tightly joined together. They're separated. Those tight junctions are no longer helping those epithelial cells stay tightly joined. So then what happens? Undigested food particles go through, waste products, toxins goes through the intestines into your blood cells where you don't want those to be. So what that causes is excessive inflammation, poor digestion, and so what we wanna do is we wanna heal these epithelial cells for leaky gut and make them look like this again. I got all that in my protocols, but I wanted to give you a schematic so you understand
