So basically our brain is a predictions machine. It predicts all the time. Even when you don't think about things. It predicts things like what would happen if it's going to be an earthquake, what, what is the root out here even if you don't think about that. And we analyze the past to learn from that. So probably these are good tools. And because this brain, this machine, it is made to analyze the past and to make predictions for the future, it is so hard to stay in the present. So how can we stay in the present?
We can use the mind to really use it and benefit our well being but we can also use the mind to destroy our well being. So the question is how do you use the mind in the proper way? This is the point where now it comes to all different types of practices like focus on the breath, focus, focus on the movement, everything that brings you into the presence. This one doesn't happen in the past.
