AI can now combine genetic, protein, and metabolic data to design custom drugs for each patient. Lee Hood's company is pioneering this approach, using quantum computing to model thousands of scenarios and target each person's specific molecular problems.
Chapters
We can actually now look at people from, you know, I can look at all of their metabolomics, proteomics, kind of put all this information together using AI, feed that into a system and say, okay, these are my pathways that are messed up based on, based on all my metabolomics and, and figure out peptide sequences that would really be helpful here to intervene. Right. And I think that AI is making that so much more legitimate. And there's Lee Hood, was just talking about his company is kind of doing this where, where they're, they're looking at how can we more personalized design drugs or designer peptides to people because that's gonna be huge, right? When we can really target very, very specifically what you need based on your metabolomics. I mean, genetics are one thing, right? But, you know, genetics go into epigenetics, go into proteomics, go into metabolomics. And so we have to put a lot of information together to figure it out. And we really have been incapable of doing this until now where the advent of, of AI now getting into the quantum world, even where we have even more scenarios that can be fed in, we can, we can learn so much more.
