Dr. Jeffrey Gladden argues the conscious mind processes only 10 bits of sensory data per second, while the subconscious handles billions. He compares the subconscious to a quantum computer and says psycho-spiritual training fine-tunes it for better perception and understanding.

Some people don't like this demarcation, but we have our, let's call it our conscious cognitive mind, and then we have our subconscious mind, right? And I was just in a training this past week where they were emphasizing that the conscious mind basically reduces everything down to about 10 bits a second, right? We're exposed to, you know, thousands of bits, millions of bits a second of information, but we distill it down to about 10. The subconscious mind, however, has the capacity to function at billions of bits per second. So we can almost think that we have an analog computer, right? Not analog, but a digital computer in our cognitive abilities. And in our subconscious, we have a quantum computer. And when you're working on the spiritual side of life, the psycho-spiritual side, you're really fine-tuning that quantum computer, right? For discernment, understanding, energy perception, safety, things like that. So I just want to put that out there that it's a really, really important thing to work on that side of your brain as well as the cognitive part.
