It's one thing that we definitely don't need as a Generation X person, it's external validation. We're not on the internet, on social media, posting pictures, selfies every day, 4 or 5 times a week, pictures from the front, from the back, from the side. We're not recording our whole meal while we go out to eat every single minute. You know why? Because we're not seeking external validation. We don't need other people to tell us that we are the shit. We don't need other people to tell us we look good or that we're beautiful because we've had to develop that internally on our own. We grew up in a generation at a time where we weren't getting much attention nor validation, so you know what, we do it for our damn selves. Therefore, we don't need to find it online. We're not attention-seeking. Maybe thirst trapping, but not attention-seeking because you know what, we got it right here.
