Toxic relationships. Hi, it's Dr. Jameca Cooper. I just wanted to tell you about toxic behavior again. I was just having a conversation with one of my patients about why they felt boring in this new relationship. Well, the reason they feel boring or bored in this relationship is because this relationship is stable and healthy. When you're in a toxic relationship, that may include some cheating, some suspicion, paranoia, checking phones, following people, angry about when they're coming in, disrespect, emotional, psychological gaslighting, fighting. That comes with a lot of energy. It could feel almost like sparks. And if you're used to the chaos, used to the energy, you're going to feel very familiar when you're in situations or relationships like that. Therefore, when you get in a new stable relationship that's healthy, no sparks, it could feel a little bit too easy and boring. Boring is good in a healthy relationship. Boring is what you need to seek. Get rid of the expectation. Normalize boring in a relationship.
