There are two basic categories of tooth discoloration caused by many different factors. One category is more intrinsic, caused by antibiotics, genetics or disease.

The other category has to do with extrinsic.

Factors such.

As smoking.

Tobacco.

Coffee stains.

Dr. Alan Mazari of Cornerstone Dentistry in Palm Desert says discoloration causes run the gamut foods and drinks, including coffee, tea and colas. Tobacco use Smoking or chewing tobacco can stain the teeth. Poor dental hygiene, like inadequate brushing and flossing.
