Short YouTube talk (Dr. Allen Nazeri) addressing why attending seminars alone rarely improves a dental practice. He distinguishes one-off "events" (conferences, workshops, books) that raise awareness from ongoing "processes" (daily habits) that produce lasting change, arguing change requires time and commitment ("crock pot" analogy) and offering coaching/training programs.

One of the questions I often get asked is that. Dr. Allen.
I attend various type of seminars, conferences, I even take my staff with me. But when we come back, we really don't see results. I'm not sure.
If these continuing educations are worth it.
Well, I totally disagree with this. So let me. Let me explain this to you in a way you may be able to understand better. See, there's a difference between an event and a process. Event is something on a calendar you attend on for a conference, for a workshop, read a book, watch a video. That's an event.
What an event does, it makes you aware of a certain skills that you may be lacking. And you may make a decision during those events. That that's what I want to learn.
But the process.
Which is defined as your daily habits, things we do every day to attain our goal, is different. See, events.
Motivates us.
But the process matures us.
They're two separate things.
And you cannot expect change by going to an event. Why? Because change requires time.
Other words, you cannot microwave your way to change.
You need to crock pot your way to change. And that requires commitment of you, your team to that process.
My name is Dr. Allen. I help doctors, dentists to develop, scale and exit from their businesses successfully. If I can help you in this process, I offer various type of training programs from telecoaching to on site corporate trainings. And I will be more than happy to have you as one of my students.
Remember, events are easy, the process is difficult.
