Have you been wondering whether high risk HPV and or having an abnormal Pap smear could impact your ability to have a baby? In this video I'm going to be talking about the link between high risk HPV and fertility issues. I'm Dr. Donnie Wilson. I'm a naturopathic doctor and certified professional midwife as well as a clinical nutritionist. I've been helping thousands of women for over 25 years with abnormal Pap smears and high risk HPV virus to help them prevent a progression of abnormal cells, prevent cancer, and help them to actually clear high risk HPV to negative and keep it negative on into their life. So if that's what's going on for you, then I'm glad you found this video. I help a lot of women who are in that time in their life where they're hoping for a pregnancy. In fact, sometimes it's that you and other women have gone in to see the gynecologist for a Pap smear because you're trying to get pregnant and you went in to get a pelvic exam and that's when you found out that you tested positive for high risk hpv. For some women, it's when they already found out that they were pregnant and then they went in and to the gynecologist and did a Pap smear early in pregnancy and then found out that they're testing positive for high risk hpv. And I also help women who are Perry and postmenopausal and dealing with HPV at that point in their life as well. In this video I want to focus on those of you who are thinking about pregnancy or maybe already pregnant and now dealing with high risk hpv. Because I know that in the doctor's office they're not likely to tell you that there's anything you can do. They're likely to tell you to just come back and get retested and see if the cells progressed or got worse. But they're not likely to tell you about any kind of diet changes, lifestyle changes, let alone nutrients, herbs or other approaches that you can Take to protect yourself from the virus and support your body's ability to to clear the virus to negative. Because what we do know from the research and from clinical practice is that humans can clear high risk HPV to negative and keep it negative. It's not just about exposure to the virus. It's about your body's ability to protect you from the virus. So if you're testing positive right now, that alone already tells me that we need to start being a detective and figure out why. So I encourage you to get out a piece of paper and start taking notes on what are some of the most common underlying causes that I find, especially in women who are childbearing age and wanting to conceive a pregnancy. Let's figure out why this virus is positive. What is it trying to tell us? It's actually that the virus is more of a messenger, telling us that there's something that needs attention. And what I find is, is when I help women to figure out why, what is the root cause of high risk HPV being positive, and we address those causes, it actually can improve your fertility. I have many women I work with where I help them to clear HPV to negative, heal their cervix, and then I help them to conceive a pregnancy naturally and carry that pregnancy successfully to full term in a healthy baby. So because I see this over and over again, time and time again, I'm here to share with you that it's possible for you as well. I truly believe that. And the sooner we can get started in understanding what your body needs and what it's trying to tell us, the sooner you can benefit from this. Because the downside of it is in the standard medical approach, because they are not giving you any kind of diet or lifestyle or nutrients and herbs to help you. That means that you're going to. They'll just tell you to come back. And the likelihood is that each time you go back in to recheck, every six months, every 12 months, it could get worse. The cells could progress. The virus could start causing more and more abnormality. And when that happens, if it progresses to severely abnormal cells, which is also called CIN 2 or 3 or maybe both, that's when the doctor is going to start talking about procedures. So that's when they're going to say maybe you need a LEEP procedure. Or in other countries they use other procedures like a let's procedure. The idea is a procedure that removes the abnormal cells. Or if it progresses further, they may talk about a surgery to remove part of your cervix like a conization or cone biopsy, or if it progresses even further, they might even start talking about a hysterectomy. Now, depending on the severity and how many times this recurs. Because even if you have a procedure, you could go back in six months to a year or 18 months and the abnormal cells could be back again and then you need another procedure. So the more procedures that you need to have to remove abnormal cells or part of your cervix or all of your cervix, the greater the likelihood it could impact your ability to carry a pregnancy. So this is why it's also very motivating to start taking action now because we want to help prevent the need for an additional procedure as much as possible. That's that place I'm coming from. That's the perspective I take. Let's prevent, let's do everything we can to prevent a need for procedure. That's your best way to protect your cervix and your uterus so that you can be a most able to have a successful pregnancy. Again, when they do a leap procedure, they're removing part the abnormal cells. But the more times you do a LEEP procedure, the more scar tissue that can develop and that can impact the health of your cervix and the ability of your cervix to hold in a pregnancy. Right. So when you're pregnant and the baby's in your uterus, the cervix is at the base of the uterus and the cervix is what holds the baby in to the uterus. So if the cervix is not as healthy because of scar tissue or because of surgery, it's harder for the cervix to hold the pregnancy in. Now there is a procedure, by the way, that's referred to as a cervical insufficiency. If the cervix is not as able to maintain the pregnancy, there is a procedure that can be done to then help hold the cervix together. So if that's the case, your doctor might start talking about a cerclage, which is a procedure to hold the cervix closed during your pregnancy. So that might be possible and you should ask your doctor about that if that's the situation you're in. And at the same time, so there's things we could potentially do, but again, if it progresses further, the doctor is going to start talking about a hysterectomy. And at that point then if the uterus is removed, then, then that we don't have a way yet anyway to transplant the uterus. So if you have a hysterectomy, then there's not a way to carry a pregnancy in your body. You could use surrogate at that point. So this is why, if you're wanting to have your own natural pregnancy to me, I encourage you to take action now. Don't wait. If you know you're testing positive for high risk hpv, and definitely if it's been sticking around for more than a year and if it's progressed at all, I would say don't wait another minute. The women who call me and work with me one on one or in my program, they always say to me, I wish I would have found you and reached out to you sooner, Dr. Donnie. So please don't wait. It's the bet. The sooner you can take action, the better for maintaining your ability to have a healthy pregnancy. It also means that even if you're not, you're thinking, hey, I might not want a pregnancy for a couple years. Let's start helping you prepare now, because again, everything that I teach you about healing from HPV is going to help improve your overall health and your overall fertility. In fact, so often as women go through the process with me, the protocol that I teach them, that Dr. Donny's HPV protocol, they end up becoming more and more easily to get pregnant. In fact, so often women end up calling me partway through the protocol and say, oh, I'm pregnant and I wasn't even really trying yet. So I know that the protocol is going to help increase your fertility. And so that's already exciting news. Right? And what we do, the way I think about it as a naturopathic doctor, this is the philosophy of naturopathic medicine. This is what we think of the. The body is interconnected. You know, what's happening in your cervix, in your uterus is not separate from what's happening in, in your gut, in your nervous system, in your, the whole rest of your body. So we need to look at your body as an interconnected system physically, but also interconnected mind and emotions and even spirit. We need to look at all levels of your reality and your environment and your experience. And that's how we start to get the clues to understand what your body's really been trying to tell us. Because ultimately, high risk HPV virus is the messenger telling us, hey, something needs attention. And a lot of times the tests that are being done in the regular doctor's office are not going to be the types of Tests that are going to give you that information. A lot of times you might just do a regular blood test and that might tell you if you have anemia, which would be helpful to know. It might tell you if there's a blood sugar issue that. But there's not. There's a lot of times the blood work is going to look, look, quote, normal, right? And they say, we don't know why the HPV is there, or we don't know why you're having trouble getting pregnant. And because it all looks in their reference range of normal. When I look at the blood work, though, I'm looking at it differently. I'm not just looking at the standard reference ranges and I'm not just looking at the standard tests. I look at a whole different set of tests, including not only nutrient levels, but nutrient metabolism that we can see in your standard blood work, often covered by insurance, depending on your insurance company. So there's so much more we can even get from blood work that your doctor is probably not ordering because they're not trained to order those tests. They're not trained as a naturopathic doctor and clinical nutritionist like me. So I order different tests and I can get different information. And this is how we identify some. A lot of times nutrient deficiencies, even. Just today, I was working with a case where I gave my patient the list of blood tests. She took it to her doctor and said, can you please order these tests for me under my insurance? And the doctor said, wow, this is quite a different list of tests. And the doctor was happy then to order those tests for the patient. And then the doctor looked at the results and said to the patient that she thought she needed more iron and then encouraged her to take a prescription form of iron. Then the patient called me and I said, wait a minute, because that blood work, while yes, gave us a lot of information, it wasn't that she was low in iron. It was that actually she was low in methylfolate, which is the active form of vitamin B9. And I could see that because I could interpret the metabolism of the B vitamins in the test results. And that was the cause of the anemia, not the low iron. And besides that, the iron that the doctor recommended for her is an iron sulfate, which is constipating, which ended up disrupting her digestion and is very low absorption iron. Anyway, so I just am telling that story to show you that talking to a medical doctor about nutrient deficiencies and nutrients is probably not going to get you very far because it's just not in their training and that's just the way it is and they would likely agree with that. Have you been dealing with high risk HPV virus and potentially abnormal cells on your Pap smear result? I'm Dr. Donnie Wilson, naturopathic doctor and midwife, and I've been helping thousands of women over the past 24 years to help them clear the HPV virus to negative and prevent cervical cancer. And I would love to teach you as well. I invite you to join me at my next free, free five day online workshop. I'm going to be teaching you all about hpv. I'll teach you all about understanding your Pap smear results, clearing HPV to negative and help you to understand what's making you susceptible to this virus in the first place. Just click on the link down below and it will guide you to join me at the very next workshop where I'm going to be able to guide you to create your healing plan to get get rid of hpv. I look forward to seeing you there in the workshop. When you talk to a practitioner like me, and especially in my case where I've been specializing in helping women with abnormal Pap smears for over 25 years, I know exactly which tests and even what could get covered by insurance and then how to understand those results and then how to recommend the right nutrients for you and your body. Because it's not all one size fits all. What I can tell you is in a case like that, we know definitely that yes, iron is something that I often do find to be deficient for women, but we don't just test iron levels, we have to test ferritin levels. And then iron is not just important for healing from hpv, but iron is also essential for pregnancy. So the same nutrients are important in both places. Same with folate. Methyl folate, which is this active form of vitamin B9, is essential for protecting you from HPV, but it's also essential for pregnancy. So a lot of times some of the same nutrients, same with vitamin D. Many women are low in vitamin D, even though the reference range says it's normal. We know that optimal ranges are going to help you to protect yourself from high risk HPV and support a healthy pregnancy. So I can guide you through each and every nutrient to make sure you have the nutrients that are going to help your body, protect you from HPV and support a healthy pregnancy. And that's just starting with the nutrients. Then we can go on to looking at blood sugar levels, hormone levels and by the way, hormone levels, we can Measure estrogen and progesterone in the blood. But again, the normal range is really a wide range. It's very easy to fall in normal. So I won't go just by normal estrogen and progesterone levels. We're going to measure your estrogen and progesterone in a urine panel that also can show us the metabolism of those hormones so we can understand exactly what's going on in your body and if your body needs help, not only with the production but also that breakdown of those hormones to support your ability to protect yourself from HPV and your ability to have a healthy pregnancy, we also need to look at cortisol levels. Not just cortisol in the blood at the time you have your blood drawn, but cortisol throughout the day at least four different times. Morning, midday, evening, bedtime, which is measured in either urine or saliva in a specialty lab test you can do from home. It's not a test that your standard clinic is going to order for you. It tends to be an out of pocket test that a practitioner like me is going to order for you. But you more even a lot of naturopathic doctors don't order that test or know how to support or help you address what your results are. But that is something that I specialize in, have researched and written about in several books, including the Master Stress Reset, your health book, how to understand how stress has impacted your body. This is one of the most common situations that I find for women who are at risk of high risk HPV and having a hard time getting pregnant. The common denominator very often is exposure to stress and trauma. Because of course as humans we are exposed to stress. Most all of us have had some adverse events in childhood, let alone in adulthood. And that then puts us into a constant stress response. But stress is not one size fits all. For some of us our cortisol remains too high and for some of us the cortisol stays too low. Either way, if cortisol is not optimal throughout the day and into the night, that's going to impact your immune system's ability to protect you from high risk hpv. And that's going to impact your ovaries ability to to ovulate and maintain a healthy pregnancy. You see, there's another commonality. So we need to know exactly what's happening with your cortisol level. Is it too high or too low because the treatment's different? I'm going to recommend different herbs, different nutrients, different approaches depending on whether your cortisol is too high. Or too low at different times of day. But that's absolutely something that we can address and rebalance at the same time, is helping you to recover from the that stress and trauma. We can help you to know how to regulate your nervous system and how to learn to use different techniques and tools on a daily basis to help regulate your nervous system and help you constantly be in a state of recovering from stress and trauma. So these are some of the ways that I help women. And it's not something you, that you do overnight. It's not, we're not looking for a quick fix or something you become reliant on. What we're doing here is we're actually going through a step by step process through the phases of healing in a very intentional way. It's not random. It's we start with one, the first phase of healing and then we move on to the next phase of healing and so on from there. And it's got to be individualized to you because one person is going to have one nutrient deficiency and another person, it can be completely different nutrient deficiency or completely different root cause. We need to look at your gut health, your microbiome, any potential toxin exposure, hormone imbalance, blood sugar imbalance. Right. I need to guide you through the eight most common susceptibilities, identify what they are for you, and then help you to address them based on the phases of healing. And that's a process that can happen over three months to sometimes 12 or 18 months, depending on your case and your body and how you're implementing your recovery. So for those of you who are thinking, oh gosh, I'm. A lot of women will say to me, hey, I was thinking that I was ready to get pregnant and then I found out I have a high risk HPV and abnormal cells. What am I going to do now? Well, what I would say to you is let's take at least three months to do both. We can both help you recover from HPV and help you prepare for pregnancy in three months. I've seen a lot of cases do get very far in three months, even with CIN 2 or 3, which are severe cases. I can help you using alternative approaches called escharonic treatments to address the abnormal cells if you want to avoid a LEEP procedure. So you would either decide to do a LEEP procedure or escharotic treatments to address CIN 2 or 3. If you have CIN 1, you don't need to have escharotics or elite procedure. But we are going to want to Use vaginal suppositories to Help heal the CIN1 and at the same time address the HPV and at the same time support your fertility so that by the time we've now helped your cervix to heal, and then you are also ready to try for a healthy pregnancy. And from there, what I do is help you to prevent a miscarriage. Because this is also an area in medicine where there's not a lot of help. So when women find out they're pregnant and you guys call the gynecology office, oftentimes they say to you, oh, well, just call us back, or we'll meet with you once you get to eight or ten weeks of pregnancy. But the most common time of a miscarriage is at five or six weeks, in which case you're on your own. And so what I do, again, as a naturopathic doctor and certified professional midwife, is I help women in those early weeks to help you prevent a miscarriage. And we use some of these same approaches. I can guide you which nutrients are safe for you to take in early pregnancy. What can we do to help you if you still need to be addressing hpv? What can you do to address HPV during pregnancy that's safe and effective? What can you do to prevent a miscarriage that's safe and effective so that we can get you through that time period? In fact, many women have called me in there and they say, I found out I have hpv and two days later I found out I'm pregnant. And now what do I do? And so what I do that case is I say, let's get you in as a patient as soon as possible so that I can help you do both, help you address the HPV and help you prevent a miscarriage at the same time? And what some of the most rewarding things, the rewarding cases I work with are those cases where then I'm able to help those women to prevent a miscarriage, get all the way through pregnancy, have their healthy baby, and then find out that we were also able to completely get HPV to negative and heal their cervix at the same time. And we see that case after case time and time again. So I just want you to know that that's possible. I want you to know it's probably not something you're going to hear about from your standard doctor's office because it's not something that they're trained in or specialize in, but that is what I do. I originally trained to work in a standard GYNECOLOGY and midwifery office. And then I saw that this is an area that women need help with and it's not getting addressed in standard care. So I decided to find a way to offer this to women. So if this is what you're looking for, then I welcome you to reach out. You can always just call my office. You can just call 855-316-2114. You can also go right to my website at doctordonni.com d o c t o r d o n I.com and you could also down below I'll put a link where you can schedule a call with my team to talk about your case and your situation so they can help you understand what the options are. Whether you may want to work with me one on one so that I can help you directly. I also train practitioners so you could also decide to work with a practitioner who I've trained in my HPV protocol, so that's an option as well. And I also offer online group programs so this way you can work in a group of women to implement the Dr. Donnie's HPV protocol from wherever you are in the world. Because this you do not have to be limited by time and space. We help women from all around the world, from Europe, from Australia, from India, from Africa, you from Asia, you name it. We've been able to help women all around the world to successfully address HPV abnormal cells on the cervix and help them to achieve a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. So I want you to know that's possible and that you can reach out to me in my office at any time to find out how we can help you from where you are in your situation.
