In December, when I went away to Jamaica, I was taking Ambien to go to sleep every night. And sometimes that wouldn't even be doing the trick. Then by day three of vacation, just by, like, traveling and doing two days of scuba diving, I was sick in bed with sore throat, high fevers, waking up all the time in the middle of the night with just, like, cold sweats and couldn't even breathe. My throat was closing off. It was miserable. I'm only 22 years old. Well, I was only 22. Now I'm 23. But it was just a horrible way to feel, and I started to get really depressed about it. And that's what triggered me to come see Dr. Donnie. And after realizing that I'm intolerant to gluten and going on the diet, not even, you know, seven months later, I went on vacation again without Ambien. No problem falling asleep. No problem falling asleep in a foreign country, in a new bed at all. Right when my head hit the pillow, I was tired and I went to sleep. Scuba dived six times in four days, never got sick. Nothing. Felt energetic and felt great, and it was amazing feeling definitely.
