Understanding HPV: The Key to Preventing Cervical Cancer

Dr. Doni Wilson explains how high-risk HPV types cause cervical cancer and other epithelial cancers. About 90% of people naturally clear the virus within two years. Prevention involves diet, supplements, lifestyle changes, and clinical treatments like her HPV Kickstart program.

Hi, I'm Dr. Donny, and in this video, I want to help you to understand the HPV virus or human papillomavirus, the different types and how some of those types are associated with cancer risk, including cervical cancer risk. Cervical cancer is actually the third most common cancer in women in the United states, with over 13,000 cases diagnosed every year and over 600,000 cases diagnosed around the world every year. So this is actually a very important type of cancer for us to become aware of and to prevent. It is something that we can work toward preventing cervical cancer, which is really my mission and interest in sharing this information here with all of you. So, first of all, we talk about HPV or human papillomavirus as if it's a single virus, when actually there's over 140 different types of HPV viruses. So there's actually a lot of different types of types of hpv. Some of them are considered low risk, meaning they are not associated with cancer, and some of them are high risk. So the low risk types of HPV are associated with warts, like warts on your hands or feet, or genital warts. Those tend to be caused by the low risk type. So if you have been experiencing genital warts, know that those are not the same types of HPV that are associated with cancer risk. And genital warts, as well as other warts, can generally be treated by your dermatologist or gynecologist to help them to go away. Now, the HPV virus can still be present and cause a recurrence of those warts. And so you may still be interested in how to fend off the virus and prevent it from causing a recurrence of warts. And the same protocol that I use to help women to clear high risk HPV will work to also help clear low risk HPV for men and women. So if you're dealing with low risk hpv, I encourage you to keep listening, because the same information I'm going to share will also help you with low risk hpv, the high risk types of HPV virus. And there's at least 13 different types that are known to be associated with cancer risk. Now, that's cervical cancer, but it can also be associated with cancer of the vagina, the vulva, anal cancer for men, penile cancer, as well as oral cancers. In fact, more than 70% of head and neck cancers are associated with HPV virus. So this virus can cause cancer in different areas of the body. But one thing you will notice is that it's areas of the body with a similar type of tissue type, similar cell type. These are called epithelial cells that we see in our sinuses, in our mouth, in the anal area and the vaginal area. These types of cells called epithelial cells, they're just little round cells. If you look at them under the microscope, those are the types of cells that the HP to be most able to get into and cause cancer in. And another video, I'll tell you more specifically how it does that. But in this video I want to just help you to understand how to test for it, how to know if you have one of these HPV virus types and how it is that it can potentially lead to cancer risk and what you can do about it. So, so now that you have a sense that this is just when you understand the HPV virus, it tends to want to go to these specific areas of the human body because that's where it's able to get into the cells and do its thing, which is to cause trouble. And if it's a high risk type of virus, to potentially cause abnormal cells. So when women go in for their gynecological exam, they are going to get a Pap smear. And now this was not the case in the past, but now most clinics around the world will not only do a Pap smear test where we're looking at the cells of the cervix under a microscope, but they will also test for hpv. That' co test, meaning they're doing both tests. In the past they would just do the Pap smear and if it was abnormal, do the HPV test. But now we know based on science that if it's most important to know if the HPV is present, because actually 99% of cervical cancer is caused by the HPV virus. So if we know that high risk HPV is present, then we know to go looking for cancer cells. And the doctor will then follow up with biopsies and treatment if there are risk abnormal cells present or cancer cells present. But the case is what if you test positive for HPV and you do not yet have abnormal cells, or perhaps you have low grade abnormal cells, or perhaps you were treated for high grade abnormal cells and you want to prevent the virus from causing abnormal cells. Again, in all of those scenarios, it comes down to wanting to help your body clear the virus. And the fact is that yes, the human body can clear this virus, so some viruses stay in our system. But now we know that the HPV virus can be cleared by the human immune system in Fact, studies show that in 90% of humans the virus is completely cleared to negative within two years. Now if you, that might be. If your doctor is saying come back in a year, come back in two years, it's because they know that within with 90% of cases, it goes away in two years. So they are thinking, hey, maybe it's just going to go away and hopefully it's not going to cause cancer and your body's going to clear it. And so that's why your doctor might sound like, hey, come back and let's recheck it. At the same time, many women are not comfortable with just waiting two years to find out if cancer happens. Right? And that's likely why you're watching this video. And that's why I do what I do. That's why I created my clinic business as a way to support women to be proactive at preventing a high risk HPV from causing cancer and from causing cancer again. Well, instead of just wait and do nothing, our plan is let's get proactive and do something. Let's do things that have been shown to be effective because there's actually quite a lot of research on dietary changes, nutrients, herbs as well as lifestyle and stress recovery techniques that can help you to protect yourself from high risk hpv. I know how scary it can be when you get a pap smear result that shows positive for HPV and potentially abnormal cells problems. It's hard to know who to trust and where to get information to help you solve it. That's exactly why I decided to do something about it. I'm Dr. Donnie and after helping thousands of women over the past two decades to clear HPV to negative and keep it negative, I decided to create the HPV Kickstart program. This step by step online program is designed to teach you the essential knowledge you need need for your body to heal itself. You'll get access to a comprehensive series of videos that will help guide you through the diet changes you can make, the supplements to take, as well as ways to address the underlying causes of the virus. You can clear the HPV virus just go to drdonnie.com kickstart or use the link below to get started. I'll see you there. Now this is the kit. When you do a test and you get your HPV result back and it says we positive or detected or abnormal. So it's saying they do see some high risk hpv. Some cases they may tell you the exact type of HPV virus. They might say 16 or 18 or other type I want you to know that in the work that I do to help you fend off HPV, clear HPV, which you can learn more about it clearhpv now.com the work that I do to help you clear HPV will work on all the different virus types, as I mentioned, it will even help with the low risk types and it will help with all the different types of high risk types, all 13 of them. Because I've seen this. I work with thousands of cases over two decades. And so I've, I've helped women with all different scenarios, sometimes with more than one type of HPV, sometimes they've had HPV for more than 15 years and we've still been successful at clearing it to negative. So what I can tell you is, as much as it might seem important to focus on the exact type, what I can tell you is it, what's more important to focus on is to focus on, focus on why is it that your body is not clearing the virus? Because the human body can clear it. Remember, we're most all exposed to high risk HPV virus. 80% of us are exposed by age 50. That means that this is a virus that we're exposed to now. Yes, we contract it through genital exposure. That's how we come in contact with HPV virus is through sexual genital contact. Not by hugging a person, not by shaking someone's hand, not through a doorknob. That's not how we get exposed. So we get exposed through sex. But as humans, humans have sex, we're going to get exposed. And it doesn't mean that you have to have had sex with multiple partners. I see many women who are testing positive for HPV after a single sexual partner and sometimes within one year of their first time having sex. So this doesn't have to be something that's happening after numerous sexual encounters. This is something that happens. Also women over 60 years old. So even if you're over 60, I wouldn't say stop listening, I would say pay attention. Especially if you are sexually active and especially if you've ever tested positive for HPV or abnormal cells. And even if you've had a hysterectomy and even if you've had the vaccine, because when you have the vaccine, it's not 100% effective. It works on nine of the 13 types. And many women who had the vaccine still end up testing positive for hpv. Same with a hysterectomy. Hysterectomy removes the uterus, but it does not remove the virus. And so many women who've had a hysterectomy still test positive for HPV and can potentially still test positive for abnormal cells on the, on if the cervix remains after the surgery or in the vagina or on the vulva. So please know that even if you have your Pap smear, you still need, even if you had a hysterectomy, you still need to have a Pap smear on a regular basis. Now the current guidelines are from age 21 to age 65 to have a Pap smear and HPV test every three years. Now if you have, if you're testing negative for hpv. So if you have even just an HPV test that's negative at least two in a row, then they, the doctor might extend that to every five years. So just know that this is the current guidelines. That doesn't mean that I agree with it. I think that we need to be willing to have these tests done. Especially if you've ever had an abnormal, especially if you've been worried about what's going on with your body. It's worth it to go in and have a Pap smear and an HPV test. I know it can be scary. Many women report to me that this, this how afraid they are to have the test done. And what I would love to reassure you is to say that for me, getting the Pap and the HPV test done tells me at least where you're starting from. Because then you can always contact me. You can just come to drdonti.com or clearhpv now.com and I can guide you from there. Then I can say to you, okay, here's what your results are and here's what we can do about it. I think it's most scary because sometimes you get the results and then the doctor doesn't tell you what to do. And then you're, or they tell you you're going to have to have a scary procedure and then we just get paralyzed in fear. And that's not going to help because now this virus could still be actively causing abnormal cells when we could be helping you prevent it from progressing. So please, if you've been in a state of fear, please reach out. Let me help guide you and help you to know that the testing actually gives us information we need so that we understand what's happening in your body. So then I can help you to be proactive. If it's low grade abnormal cells, then I can help you to do this. Use the right clinical doses, orally, vaginally to help heal those abnormal cells, especially the low grade. If they're high grade abnormal cells, which is CIN 2 or 3, then you might need a procedure at the gynecologist's office or you could consider escarotic treatments office which is an herbal nutrient treatment for CIN 2 and 3. And we can remove those abnormal cells before they turn into cancer cells. And that's part one. Part two is then we need to follow my protocol to help you clear the virus to negative. This is a protocol that I've been developing over the past two decades by helping thousands of women to successfully clear hpv. So this is a proven strategy to help you as an individual understand why your body isn't clearing the virus. That's the key. And you'll see other videos from me where I go into more detail about helping you to understand how to think through understanding what you can do to help your body clear this virus. It's not just about exposure. It's about how your body is responding to the virus and clearing it from your system and protecting you from cancer. That's the key. You don't have to just be thinking, oh, it's going to be here forever and I have no control. Because you do have control. You can, I can teach you the steps to take to help your body clear the virus and protect you from cancer. And that's how I plan to help reduce cervical cancer rates in the United States and around the world. We can be preventing HPV from hijacking your cells and protect your long term health. We can help you to get the virus out of there and maintain healthy cells and healthy immune system so that you can be healthier overall into the future. All right, thank you so much for joining me for this video. Make sure to subscribe to my channel so you don't miss the next video and I look forward to seeing you hearing from you very soon.
