You know, my baby girl is really the inspiration on why I'm stepping back.
And how old is she now?
She's six months.
Six months. That's gone by quick.
I know. She said, dada. That's great, like, two weeks ago. And it melted my heart. Started crying when she said it.
Oh, yeah. It's powerful. A little girl is something that a daddy is not usually equipped to realize how powerful it's going to be until she's right there in your hands.
And this little girl, she does things, and it's just like, okay, I feel that heart. It's opening up more and more. So that's been a big thing. It's like we launched Kids Organifi. Kids.
Yes, I've. I've seen that. And we've had some of the tester supplements here, and the kids love them, so it's great.
So good. Tastes great. We use, you know, organic glyphosate, residue free, highest quality. And we're just packing it full of superfoods, veggies with low sugar. You know, a lot of the juice boxes today, 40 grams of sugar and a Capri sun are, like, almost 30.
The rates of diabetes are just outrageous, Skyrocketing. I mean, I. I think it might have been RFK's new running mate, Mrs. Shanahan. I can't remember her first name, but she said in her opening address that the United States is now spending more on diabetes than they are on the national defense budget, which about floored me.
Yeah. And chronic illness. Yeah, like, chronic illness is way above that. 40% of children now have some type of chronic disease. 40%.
I saw a report in the Children's Health Defense a few months ago. They analyzed the blood of newborns and found 100 and, I think 126, 129 toxic chemicals that were at dangerous levels. Yeah, most of it was environmental stuff like plastics and heavy metals.
And that's a much bigger issue than we're even set up for. All the plastics, microplastics in the body.
You know, it's. It's weird for me, Drew. You know, I published how to Eat, Move, and be healthy, and 2003 or 4, and I, I, I thought we were in big trouble then, and. And I've been telling people about the soil and telling people about real food. I mean, you see what's in my book, how to Eat, Move and Be Healthy. I'm trying to get this through people's heads, and I've been. I was doing it clinically. I mean, I started in January 1984 in my profession. So by the time I wrote how to Eat, Move and Be healthy, that was 20 years later. So I had a lot of clinical experience. And I'm like, people, you need to really wake up to what's going on all around you because it's messing you up bad.
Yeah.
And I. I look at what's going on in the world now, and it's the strangest thing. It's like I was never here. It's like. It's like I haven't reached anybody.
Agreed. Agreed.
It's crazy.
And all the things that you taught us, Paul, you know, like the sun, all the four doctors, everything that you teach, now, that's baseline. So if you're not doing those things, it's like now you're. You have more to make up. You know, you're losing the race, especially with all the misinformation out there. Which leads me into. One of the things I'm seeing is all the misinformation out there with supplements.
It's terrible.
Supplements. You know, they're. They're marketing on Amazon and TikTok. You have all these other brands everywhere. They're sold so cheap, you know, I see one that's like 35, 40 bucks. And every TikTok influencer is promoting this thing. And you look at the ingredient label, Paul, and it's literally flavored water.
Yeah.
Or there's titanium dioxide in one of these, and there's. It's not even organic. So now, you know, you got glyphosate. You're drinking a jar of glyphosate thinking you're doing something healthy.
Yeah.
And it's more damaging.
I. I did a Paul Reacts video a while back. Some guy. And there's so many of these things out there. Some guy was telling everybody they were an idiot if they thought aspartame was bad for them. And. And then he was making some excuse about the research that says it causes cancer is all bullshit. I freaking.
I know who you're talking about.
I lit a fire under that one. But I quoted research right out of many books in my library and said, yeah, this. Who's paying this guy? You should be asking that question first. But some of these people have a half a million followers, and they're not telling anybody anything of any intelligence. And so I look at this and I go, okay, why? How is it that they're doing this? And. And this is what I concluded. Almost everything I tell you requires you to take responsibility for yourself. You got to participate in your life Right. But what I've surveyed lots of these people because I have staff that go looking for this stuff to show me, and I go. The one common denominator is that these people are telling people that the same stuff that they're addicted to is good for them. So they're justifying the pathology. They're saying, oh, eat the sugar. I had another one that was telling Everybody how great McDonald's was, and I had to.
And they're losing weight.
Nail the coffin. And that. They're losing weight because they're fucking dying.
They're starving themselves. Yeah. They're not getting any nutrition.
Yeah.
So I'm seeing that a lot. These viral products that have no efficacy. And they'll. They'll say that there's 500 milligrams in the dosing, but it's really a 50 milligram extraction.
Yeah.
You know, with a 1 to 10 extract or whatever. And then they just multiply it and it's like, how is that even legal? Well, like, it's not the full dose.
Here's the thing. If you did that.
Yeah.
They'd fucking lock you up 100%. Why? Because you're successful.
Yeah.
You see, that's the strangest fricking thing I've ever seen. You can sell poison to anybody, but then if you actually sell real stuff, they're all over you.
I've had that happen a few times where attorneys and other people, like, start, you know, go after you because you are successful. Yeah. And the whole algorithm is kind of set up like that. I believe that there's a tie between Meta and these other big social media conglomerates and obviously the pharmaceutical cartel.
Totally.
Like, if you track it back.
Yeah. Hell, yeah.
So they're like. They're helping too many people, you know, feel better and increase their vibration. Let's go after this.
We're not gonna make any money with these guys around.
Yeah, exactly.
They. They don't need to change. We just need to get our head out of our asses as a public and start realizing what health is and investing in health and investing in the future. Investing in the children, for God's sakes.
Yep. Pay for your health now or pay for sickness later. I love that. And, you know, and seeing a lot of these products, it's like they're selling them for 20, 25 bucks. And it has. These are all the benefits. But you and I know how much organic food costs.
Yeah.
There's no way that has anything in it that's of value. If they're selling it for $25. $35.
Not to men. Fact. This supplement is a concentration of whatever you're eating, right.
100.
So whenever you're buying supplements that are not grown, not sourced from certified organic products, you're getting a concentration of pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, rodenticides, glyphosate, emulsifier, stabilizers, colorings. You know, the list is. Is long. I was. I just. I recently had Mimi and Chase in here talking about their HCC product, and they were telling me about a lot of the scams with how mushrooms are grown and sold, and they're telling me that, you know, most of them are like 90% wood pulp and grain and shit. And people don't realize they're just eating.
Yeah.
Garbage.
That's it. They grow it on grain. They, like. Our mushrooms are actually grown on wood. And then we take the mushroom, right? It's like in its natural state, but most are grown in corn and grain. And then they just take the whole entire thing, grade it up, and put it into pills. And then they call that the mushrooms.
Yeah, but. But they're. But what you mean is they're taking the substrate that it's growing.
Yeah, exactly.
Not just the mushroom.
They're taking everything.
So, I mean, that. That's robbery, man.
It really is. It's absolutely insane. And it's happening more and more because people see the comp. The companies that are successful, and they're like, oh, I could be a supplement manufacturer. And then they don't do any testing. A lot of it's probably getting made in their basement or some manufacturing plant that's like, cutting loopholes and everything else.
And they put the stuff on the bottle that you would learn if you did a search on, for example, Rishi. Mushrooms are good. So it tells you all the right things.
Yeah, you see it.
It's like, okay, but, you know, there's the. The. The ghost of Rishi in the bottle.
Yeah. It has not. Has no value in it whatsoever.
Bad. It's. I don't know. You know, it makes me sad because a lot of people are busy. They don't. They. They don't have time to do a lot of research, so they go to the store, you know, some nutrition outlet or whatever, and they actually trust that people are selling them the truth. Just like they trust the government and they trust their doctor, and they trust, you know, people. I mean, we. I think we inherently want to trust each other, but the. The problem is, is there's too many people that manipulate that trust for their own Financial gain. And it's just, it's immoral and it's unethical. Well.
And then guys like you and I come along and it's like, hey, let me give you the real education.
Yeah.
And here's the real research and here's what's really happening with this. And 80% of these people look at you and they don't even hear what you're saying.
Yeah.
Because they have that cognitive bias because they've been learning that for so long. Trust the person in the white coat.
Yes.
You know, give responsibility over your health to this other person.
Yeah.
And it literally blows my mind. It's like, I believe self care is healthc care. If we're not taking radical responsibility.
Yeah.
Well, then we're only going to go down the path of further degradation.
There's only two options. I'll use your words, Radical responsibility or radical irresponsibility. And the problem is it costs you a lot more to be irresponsible than it does to be responsible. Yeah. Like real food. People say, oh, organic food, so expensive, I can't afford it. Well, actually, if you look at the research, there's many studies showing that if you eat organic food because the higher nutrient density, you reach satiation. And the average person, even animals, eat about one third less food because your satiety centers trigger a lot sooner. Because there's enough fat, there's enough vitamins, enough minerals, there's enough co factors that your body says, okay, I'm satiated, but you can eat white bread until the cows come home. And you can eat box cereal till the cows come home. And this is one of the reasons you got all these fat kids around, because they can't ever exactly. Like, their brain doesn't ever say, I've got the vitamins I'm looking for. So they just keep eating and eating and eating. Because, I mean, how much starving do you got to eat to get satiated? Right?
Yeah. The average American is eating like 3,500 to 4,000 calories a day. But they're not getting any micronutrients, they're.
Not getting any minerals, they're not getting any food.
Yeah. And when I listened to your podcast, it made sense. On the soul retrieval with Ang, it's like if your body isn't firing your electromagnetic field, your light body, well, then you're craving all this junk food.
Yeah.
You're putting that in. You're not going to be lit up enough to even use your extra sensory, you know, spiritual gifts that we all came here with the Planet with, yeah, you're just going to be cut off from that. Which really excites me about what organifi does, especially for kids, because if they are eating junk food, then they're not going to maybe wake up, you know, in this lifetime. And I think that's the real travesty.
You see, the whole model that our whole culture has been educated into by the nutrition degree programs and dietetics programs is that all their. The.
The.
Most people's concept of food is based on calories. Okay, so how much calories is in.
This apple, calories out?
That's the whole calorie counting facade. Right. You know, the things strapped to your arm and your lego. I did 10,000 steps. I can eat this much. And that's all based on how much energy is produced when you put something into a burn calorimeter and it measures how much energy is released from a given food to raise a certain volume of water. I think it's 1 degree Celsius. Can't remember the exact details. But the point is, most people's concept of food is no different than the concept of gasoline for a car. They think food is just a form of energy.
Fuel.
Fuel, Right. But they don't realize food is not only energy, it's information and its frequency. So if you're eating glyphosate, it's sending information that is totally incoherent with the cells of a living organism.
Yeah.
It creates total chaos. And what is cancer? A collection of cells that do not see themselves as part of a community. So you have a division in the body where you've got cells that actually don't realize they're part of a body because they're so confused about being part of a community. And so when you realize that the color of a tomato or a carrot is a source of vibrational energy and it correlates directly to the chakra system I show people in my training. Look, you take carrots, they will support the second chakra because it operates in the frequency of orange energy. You eat any yellow food, like a squash, it supports your third chakra. You eat green stuff, it supports your fourth chakra. And so you've got vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, terpenes, phenolics, alkaloids, fats, proteins. And the guy who did the most amazing job of pointing out what I'm trying to point out right now was Royal Lee, the founder of Standard Process Laboratories. And he was really like another Weston A. Price. Are you familiar with Royal Lee? Of course, yeah.
And Western A. Price.
Yeah. So what. What Royal Lee showed is that vitamins do not act on their own in the body. He showed that all vitamins work in what he called a vitamin complex. And the analogy that he gave to point this out, he asked the question, what part of a watch tells time.
Or the whole thing? Yeah, the whole thing. That's what it is.
You can't remove any part of a watch and have it tell time. You take the minute handoff, you know what hours, we don't know what minute it is. You take the hour handoff, you don't know what hour it is. You take one spring out, it won't work. Take one gear out, it won't work.
That's the human body.
So it's a hole on what Ken Wilber would call a hole. On a complete hole whole, it has to have its parts to function as a whole. So what he showed is that in nature, wherever there's vitamins, there's fats, there's proteins, there's enzymes, there's minerals, there's trace minerals, there's phenolics, there's terpenes, and there's alkaloids. And these things work in each plant in unique combinations to produce a living organism, each one of which has something that our body needs in the right proportions. So what he showed is if. If you take and isolate, say, B6, so you go to GNC and buy a bottle and you're taking 350 milligrams of B6. He shows that your body now has to go to order to activate the B6 that you just taken. It has to go scavenge the fats, the minerals, the proteins, the end times, the minerals, the trace minerals, and the CO factors. And so what he shows is that a lot of people don't realize that they go in with a deficiency like night blindness. Someone says, take this, they eat a bunch of it, but the next thing you know, their hair's all dry and their skin's drying out because now they've created another deficiency because they had to scavenge so much other cofactors to make the nutrition complex activate. So you just keep taking from Peter to pay Paul. And so it's the perfect scenario for the nutrition company, 100%, because you think you're getting better, but you're actually just swapping problems. And so that's why I've always been a proponent of whole foods, because when you eat whole foods, you get the energy, you get the nutrition complex, you get the information. And every food you eat has information like we know ginseng heats the body. We know there is many things such as echinacea, ashwagandha, or ashwagandha that have stress modulating effects or immune modulating effects. That's the information in the damn thing. If it was just energy, all it would do is get you high. Like, you know, we could all just drink caffeine all day and be buzzed out of our mind and feel great. But the point I'm making is every single thing you eat. If you look, I got a book in my Library written by Saint Hildegard in 1100 and something, and she shows how you use lamb to treat certain diseases, how you use beef to treat diseases, how you use chicken. I mean, this woman was so far ahead, it's a joke. I mean, if her book was republished right now, it would be cutting edge.
But she would be illegal.
She was a mystic. It would be. She. She was illegal and they tried to get rid of her. But the point I'm making is everything we eat, chicken carries energy.
Color, and information. Like, why do we know that chicken soup's good when someone's sick, heals everything? Because there's the information the body needs. And especially, as you know, the way you cook things or prepare things changes the nutrients in it. Some plants you don't want to cook because it'll wipe out the vitamins in them. They're too fragile. You can kill trace minerals with heat. You pasteurize things, you wipe them out. So certain things have to be eaten raw. Some things you have too much fiber in them, so you got to cook them, and then it actually liberates nutrition. But people have lost touch with really important ancient wisdom.
I love that you brought that up, which you told me that a while ago. And one of the things that we've done at Organifi is we actually use whole food vitamins, minerals, and even our complete protein. Whole food vitamins.
Yeah. Well, the other thing, too is once you break open a cell, it starts to oxidize. A lot of these things are sitting on the shelf in a warehouse for a year or two before they even get to you. So by the time you. I took a nutrition course, you know, 20 years ago from David get off, who unfortunately passed away. But.
He taught me something in that course that was very interesting. He said, before you ever use an oil like vitamin E or any of the oils that comes in caps, always poke one open with a pin and smell it and taste it, because a lot of them are rancid.
Most of them are rancid.
Yeah. He said what they're doing is they're using cheap carrier oils, like vegetable oils. Because if the capsule isn't, say it's a 1 gram dose, what they'll do is they'll only put a certain amount, but then they'll use a carrier oil. So you think you're getting the whole thing and then the next thing you know, the carrier oil oxidizes the actual stuff because the carrier oil is old, low quality products. And I can't tell you I've been shocked. I've bought brand new bottles of what I thought was going to be top notch stuff. And this is, you know, 15 years ago or more, but I would smell it and it would be rancid. And it still was like with within maybe 10, 12 months or a year from the due date on the bottle. Like how many people out there are poisoning themselves, literally? Rancid oils?
Yeah. All the seed oils, the vegetable oils, wondering why they're chronically inflamed, why they're fatigued after taking something that's supposed to be good for their mitochondrial health. Happens all the time.
It does, it's, it's. And that's why I only.
Work with people like you and you know, the sponsors that I do, because the freaking last thing I'm gonna do is sell garbage to people. I gotta sleep with myself at night. I gotta look at myself in the mirror every day. Yeah.
I'm not only testing our stuff, I'm testing other companies. And I'm blown away at how many companies have glyphosate. Especially a lot of the green juices, you know, the red juice, the protein. I recently tested Forever Chemicals as well. All of organifi stuff. I'm not marketing it saying, hey, we tested Forever Chemicals. We're clear, none of that. But I just want to know, where is the industry?
Yeah.
And most of them, I'm blown away at how people are getting away with this. I mean, and even their ingredients, like I see this one company, they literally have 75 ingredients in their formulation. And I'm looking at the dosing and it's like alfalfa barley and it's chalked up to be this great superfood. I'm like, they're literally selling almost a hundred dollar product and it's just grass.
Yeah.
Like there's a tiny, maybe 50 milligrams of ashwagandha or something. Like a tiny bit of something that could actually help them lower their stress.
Yeah.
And they're killing it. I mean, we're talking hundreds of millions of dollars in a business.
You know, enzymes are one of the most important things we can use to supplement our diet. Very few people have normal levels of digestive enzymes. It's extremely common to be digestive enzyme deficient because so many people are eating cooked foods, processed foods, packaged foods, et cetera. The best digestive enzymes I've ever found are mass zymes by bioptimizers. And one of the things I like about them is not only are they the most advanced technology for how they're.
Produced, the science behind them, but I.
Take them on an empty stomach every morning and every night as proteolytic enzymes to help clean my body. So I've got Wade here, who's the formulator of these enzymes, to tell us how do they work as digestive and proteolytic enzymes? Because today I think we really need to be supplementing with high quality enzymes.
So, Wade, what's unique about mastimes? Well, one of the interesting things is undigested protein is one of the biggest contaminants that cause problem for people, whether it's in their blood or inflammatory conditions or even impairing recovery. And it's quite common amongst athletes who have high protein diets, interesting enough who are looking to add recovery, but they're not breaking down their protein effectively. And that was my case way back in the day as a former bodybuilding champion. So we set about cultivating and developing an enzyme formulation that handled all of the amino acids in a ph range from 2 to 12, as well as providing an assortment of assistant enzymes. In other words, it doesn't just break down protein, it handles carbohydrates, it handles fats, it handles fibers, a variety of different things, and they work synergistically together to make sure that you can break down just about any food and digest it properly. Now, when you talk about the difference between enzymes, there's digestive enzymes and systemic enzymes. Systemic enzymes, such as like nattokinase or serrapeptase, well, they work. They don't help break down digestion, but they can break down inflammation or inflammatory conditions. Undigested proteins or scarring tissue inside the body. Well, it turns out when you take mass zymes on an empty stomach, it works exactly the same way it will go into the bloodstream and now works as a systemic enzyme, reducing inflammation, accelerating recovery times. Matt just tore his Achilles tendon and made a full recovery after surgery within a few weeks, which they expect it for many months. He was taking as many as 100 a day. Now, I'm not suggesting people do that, but this was an extreme condition. And the bottom line is massiges is great for recovery, for cleaning up undigested proteins in the system as well for digesting just about any meal. If this isn't the best digestive enzyme or systemic enzyme that you've ever taken, you get your money back. That's the Bioptimizer guarantee.

One of the sad things that happens though, and I congratulate you for not falling into this trap because I've watched it happen myself many times, is companies start out small and they make really good stuff. But then as their volume gets higher and higher, they start taking shortcuts. And then they have maybe they can't get enough volume from a small farm that they were using. Next thing you know they're outsourcing to some company from another country. And you know, so you see as companies get bigger and bigger, their standards get lower and lower.
Yeah. Or they sell to one of the big players.
Yeah.
That owns like 95% of these companies anyway. And then all of a sudden what you were once drinking that was all organic, you know, healthy, glyphosate residue free now isn't all organic. And there's stuff in it that like titanium dioxide and these other things was not in there before.
We had that happen right here in our backyard. You know, I really love Palomar Mountain water. You know, our water comes from a 4,000 foot well on Artesian well and Mount Palomar.
Right.
Literally out the window over there. And the company sold to Nestle.
I knew that. I knew you were going to say that. Yeah. Nestle's buying all the wells.
Yes. And then I talked to guys that been delivering to me for years. So I had a friendship with them. And then I said, I don't want this water unless you can assure me 100%. Look me in the eyes and tell me they're not adding anything to this water and it's exactly the same water. And the two of the salesmen said, well, to be honest with you, they're mixing it with a bunch of other cheaper grade waters now. So once they told me they were infusing it with cheaper waters to cut the cost down, I said, there's no way I'm going to do that. I was pissed off. I said, that's such a sellout. But I'm only sharing that as an example of people cash out. They work hard to build a company, they do a high quality job. Then you get a large company that comes in and just turns it into the standard crap 100%.
I loved Bragg's apple cider vinegar and then I heard that Katy Perry bought it and I. I don't trust that apple cider vinegar anymore.
Yeah.
I also know that Bill Gates is a big proponent of what's called a peel, which is the resin that they're putting on these apples. And most of these apples are in the grocery store.
You can't even break that down your.
Body and you put. We run it underwater for like three minutes and it's like still.
Coating on your.
It's like someone sealed your food in plastic.
Yeah. Like, what is going on?
Yeah. And Paul C. Bragg, he was one of the original pioneers.
Oh, gee.
Natural health. I've got probably two or three of his books that I studied 30 years ago or more. I mean, when I was a kid, he was famous, famous icon. He's right up there with Jack lalanne in that era, you know. Yeah. I know from interviewing May and having met your chief formulator at Organifi that you guys do a lot of testing to keep your standards high. What are some of the things that you do that we haven't talked about? I mean, I know. For example, where are you sourcing stuff? It's got to have been Covid. Must have been a ball buster for you guys.
I knew there was going to be supply chain issues.
Oh, good.
I'm on the same wagon as you like. Hey, let's just protect with a lot of these ingredients. Most of them are in the States.
Good.
You know, if it is coming from a different country, we make sure that it's third party tested. Of course it's organic. And also we work with a detox project. So it's glyphosate residue free. Like I said, we're running forever chemical tests on the red, green and gold. If we're using a clinically studied something like ashwagandha or the rhodiola and our red juice or even the shilajit gummies, we're making sure that they have tested, that they've done pyravid which is our shilajit, they've done clinical trials on it. We're using the highest quality ingredients, which is why it costs so much.
Of course it does.
Compared to these other farmers. Yeah. It's insane. And if we do small batch stuff, we are working with small farms, and we don't have any intention of, like, going to something bigger in the future just to save a buck or two.
Yeah.
In fact, our costs have historically gone up about 15% every year, I would imagine. Because we're doing it right. Yeah, you got to do it right. I can't sleep at night if I know that I'm, you know, saving a dollar or $2 here on a cog. Like, it makes zero sense to me to do that.
Yeah. I gotta say, though, when you guys put out your shilaje gummies, I. I thought it was a miracle that you somehow managed to make shilaje taste good. I mean, I don't know if any of you listening have actually stuck your finger in some shilajay. I mean, yeah, it's a strong stuff. And then there's a big range in qualities of shilaje. I've had that taste like absolute crap, and I've had some really good stuff. But when I got your first batch of gummies that didn't even have a name on the label or anything, was just a bag. And so they want you to test these. I about myself, I'm like, these things are so good. I think I ate half a bag. I couldn't stop eating damn things. I'm like, holy, my body really likes these.
Yeah, you buzz.
And, you know, it's so funny. I had Wade Lightheart and his partner Matt here. You know, they're the founders of bioptimizers.
Love that company.
I said, have you ever tried or organifies shilaje gummies? I go, no. I never even knew there was such a thing. I said, try these. And they both were loving them, and I. They're on their way to go. Can we have some of those shilaje gummies for the road? So I gave them. I took a bag and dumped half of one of your bags in there for him. But they loved it. So they're like, wow. Yeah. I wouldn't doubt if they reach out to you about that.
I was with when I first tried him with Sam Dancer, who's like, the world's fittest man. Crossfitter. You'd love this guy. Nicest guy, humblest guy on the planet. His quads are just tree trunks, you know, this guy and he had the shilajit gummies. And after a week, he's like, I'm waking up an hour early. And he's like, I'm not fatiguing. Like I was. I'm feeling better. My energy's up. More mental clarity. And they work.
I mean, most people are so damn mineral deficient. And Sheila Shilajay is, you know, as, you know, it's a volcanic ash. So you got a wide spectrum of minerals in there. I mean, yeah. Probably the only thing I would say is as important as Shilajay, mineral wise, is a real high quality sea salt.
100%. I'm with you on that.
Yeah.
And you get the humic and fulvic acid, which you and I, you know, being the conspiracy theorists that we are, there's a lot of stuff floating around in our environment that you want out of your body in the humic and fulvic acid tends to tell it to beat it.
Remember, a conspiracy is only a conspiracy if there's no evidence to back it. The difference is we are paying attention to what's going on and we make decisions before the world falls apart, even while we're being called conspiracy theorists. But a conspiracy is only a conspiracy if there's no evidence to back it. And I actually saw. I was either listening to a podcast or I saw a program with a guy who brought up the fact that he had researched the 100 biggest conspiracies in the last hundred years, and he showed that not one of them was a conspiracy, and every one of them turned out to be true.
Yeah.
So the conspiracy is a word used by manipulative.
Yeah.
What? I don't have a nice.
It was created by the CIA.
Yeah. The word conspiracy to actually get rid of people that are unveiling the truth.
Yeah. Right. Make them look a little loco.
Yeah. The. The other thing that I think is important, exactly what we're talking about is, you know, diet understanding, some basic diet and nutrition principles for detoxification of your product line. What do you suggest for either daily detox support or more specific work?
You know, I. I drink the green juice in the morning to help with the cortisol. I'm a high stress guy, entrepreneur, new dad. Like, there's a lot going on. So we have 600 milligrams of clinically tried Ashwagandha. That lower stress, 27%. I feel better. It's like Zen in a cup for me. So I do a. Which is pretty remarkable. That. That is all organic glyphosate residue. Free. We have moringa in there, spirulina, chlorella. Chlorella is one of the best binders.
It is, yeah.
Period. And it's the most subtle.
I've been taking it as a supplement for years.
Yep. So that's in there. I take that in the morning and then red juice in the afternoon, which has a lot of the berries. We have a great berry blend. It's organic, glyphosate residue free. Helps with the akkermansia in the gut. And it's got the rhodiola for stamina and the cordyceps. So instead of resorting to coffee all the time, which I'm a big coffee guy like you, I love a great cup of espresso, especially here at Cafe Check.
You know, I do one day, or I. Or I'll get addicted. So I have to make sure it's really good. So I pull no punches when I'm gonna make an espresso. You can trust me. It's gonna be exactly like you just had when we started today.
Yep. It's a ceremony.
It's a ceremony.
You know, when you have it.
Okay, here's my chance. I mean, I could drink freaking espresso all day long, and I used to do, like, four shots a day, but it wiped me out, man. I got to the point where I just felt like I was jet lag from dawn to dusk because my adrenals were so overtaxed. You know, when you're using coffee to compensate for a lack of sleep, you just drill yourself into the ground, and.
It doesn't matter how much you have. You just want more and more and more. So the shilajit gummies were revolutionary for me.
Yeah.
I started taking those in the afternoon as well.
And that's a great detoxer as well.
Yeah. Helps. Helps me detox. It's got the humic and fulvic acid, all the minerals as well, and then gold at night, which you. You don't really like coconut.
I can't nut screens or seeds. They mess my body up, so.
But the chocolate gold instead of.
Believe me, I remember the first time you made it for me at your beautiful house in Mount Helix. Mount Helix. That was a freaking stunning place you had there. But I remember that was the first time I drank that. That organifi gold drink.
And it was.
You made it for me hot. And I'm like, this is un believably good. I mean, I'm. Wow.
It's literally autumn. Had a baby with a marshmallow.
Yeah.
And it's like a warm hug when you drink it.
It's crazy.
No sugar. And that's for. For me, like, part of me detoxing and taking care of my methylation pathways means not gunking them up in the first place.
Yeah, well, that's the first step. Don't poison yourself.
Yeah.
I'm a Michigan guy, so I could literally eat a whole carrot cake if you set this thing in front of me. I don't know what it is, or a lava cake, but instead, you know, I have this glass of organifi gold. It tastes just as good to me.
It's a little what it is. If you lived in Michigan, you're for a long time where you have these nasty ass winners. You have to eat cake to capture some sunlight.
Yeah, exactly.
You're getting sunlight encapsulated.
That's exactly it. Eight months out of the year, gray skies.
Yeah.
You know, and I used to be a much bigger cannoli than I am now, because just literally you don't have the motivation. Your serotonin goes down like the sun is so important for us.
Totally.
So the light medicine that we get from it, super powerful. Well, that's why I love. You know, turmeric is a photosensitizer. Methylene blue is a photosensitizer. So if you are. You need the sun. You can actually consume things that allow your biophotonic field to absorb more light.
Yes.
And a lot of these superfoods that we sell actually do that. Like, I love your analogy. It's always stuck with me. But the shaman who beats the drum.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying? Like, the drum is the soul. The spirit is the shaman playing the drum. Let's give some fuel to the shaman too, so that we can vibrate even higher and have more energy.
It doesn't matter how good your piano is if the musician's depressed.
Are there any other supplements that you would suggest for people that want either daily detox or more acute?
Yeah, in our stuff. Well, we're coming to market with. And this is what I'm so excited about, is the happy drops. And I told you a little bit about it in the kitchen.
I can't wait to try them.
Yeah. It's a saffron oil from Spain. Saffron's so expensive, by the way. It's like one. It's more expensive than gold and. But it increases serotonin. So people that have, you know, seasonal things going on.
So it's a natural form of.
Yeah, exactly. It just makes you happy. You Feel better. You know, what if. What if your life was 20% happier than it is right now? You're pretty happy.
Yeah, I might. I might not get as much work done. I might not take my. My career and my. My mission so seriously. So I. I will try the happy drops. Yeah. I don't need more happy. I just. I feel good. I got my four doctors in balance.
Yeah.
Well, for.
For me, I did go through a season of depression.
Yeah.
And it hit me kind of hard because I'm not a depressed guy. I like to look at myself as, like, always being optimistic about everything. And I don't know if it was. I had two people dear to me. I lost, you know, they died.
Yeah.
Well, that'll be transitioned, you know, a father figure in my life and I didn't know how to bounce back from it. And for me, given all the tools that you and I have at our fingertips, being in this world that we're in, it was a struggle for a while.
Yeah. Well, sometimes the soul needs you to take a little trip down on the underside so that you have more depth to your soul.
Yeah, I can see that it's important.
That we deal with the realities of life.
Yeah. I. When I was in that place, though, I didn't feel like doing much.
Yeah.
Like, I didn't record. I didn't write any books. I didn't do. I was just kind of in it. In the underbelly.
Jonah's whale.
Yeah, exactly. And thank. Thankfully, though, the saffron helped my serotonin, I got my motivation back.
Yeah.
Good.
Hi, guys. What do you reach for when you want a little pickup? When you want a little happy making? There's lots of things that I used to love. For example, I used to love my espresso in the afternoon, but that caused me lots of problems, so I had to retool that one. There's a lot of things that have sugar in them, but my body hates that. If you want to be healthy and you want to be clean, there's not much you can do. But Organifi's got some new happy drops that, believe me, are really good. And they're simple. They've got passion flower. Go to cola, organic saffron, and ginger root extract. And these things are awesome. You put a couple in your mouth. I like to suck them and let them melt down slow. And in a few seconds you are feeling happy again with a little mood elevation and a little energy lift too. I absolutely love these things. My kids love them. And the thing I love about them is they make me feel good without doing anything, but good for me. So if you want to get some happy drops, go ahead and try these. You're going to be amazed. I absolutely love these things, and my kids love them too. And I know you're going to love them. And you don't have to feel guilty about it because there's nothing in there that's bad for you at all. Far better than an addictive anything, and great for you. Try Organifies Happy Drops.

Stress management we've been talking about. I mean, there's Ashwagandha. Everything we've said for detox and all these other things is also stress management.
100%.
You can't have good stress management with bad nutrition. Sorry, folks, can't do it. You can do all your biohacking you want to. You can have all your meditation gizmos. You can have, you know, electromagnetic tables. And you. You just. You have to have four doctors. You got to eat real food from clean soil. You got to breathe, you got to move your body, you got to get enough sleep, and you got to have a dream worth living for every day.
Yep. The purpose thing.
Yeah. Or you're gonna have a lot of stress because the deepest part of you says, we're not doing what we came here to do.
Yeah, 100%. And I think that's when I was in the underbelly, like we talked about. It was reestablishing my purpose, my why.
Yeah.
And having a baby girl will do that for you.
Sure. I went through three years where I had to really take care of me because I had put so much of my heart and soul into take caring, taking care of the world and other people that I'd lost touch with my needs, you know, and so I. I painted a lot and did a lot of shamanic work and drumming and rattling and spending a lot of time with Angie and. And so Angie was kind of my primary therapist for healing from my midlife crisis. But I think the thing that came out of that for me is a model that I developed called I Before We Always. So I teach a model called I. We all first. You got to love and Care for yourself because you can't give others what you don't have. You're 50% of every we relationship. So if Drew's 10 not there, there's 10% of Drew that's not there, and there's 10% of Drew his wife cannot access. That creates a 20 deficit relationship. So people don't realize that if you are doing what I did for too long and you're giving yourself to the we like, you know, I used to have patience coming out my ears every day. I mean, everywhere I went, patient, patient, patient, patient. And everybody's got some kind of major catastrophe. So I was trying to have empathy for these people and help them even when I was tired. But the point is, first you got to love and care for yourself. Then you have something to give in relationship. And then the two of you together say, what are we? What do we represent in the world? And what is our gift to the world? And so, you know, me and Penny and Andrew are very clear that this is what we need personally. And we have to do what we got to do to make sure that happens, whether it be saunas, gyms, cold plunges, hikes, food.
You know, whatever it is. Rattling, drumming, painting. You know, most people don't take responsibility for creating happiness in their life. And that's one of the things that I had to do when I went through my midlife crisis, is I really had to focus on doing the things that made me happy. I painted a lot, and painting really helps move stuck emotions out of me and anyone, which is why you see something I do painting as part of my therapy with everybody, because it's amazing what it does for people. And I had to recalibrate my own myth. I had to look carefully at the story I was telling myself about who I am and why I was here every day. And I had to put myself first. And I had to make a commitment to myself not to expect anyone else to do things that are going to make me happy. So I cut my work hours back. I told Penny, if the institute goes bankrupt, I'm sorry, because I was right on the edge of joining a Zen monastery just to get out of the world. And she said, well, you know, if we have to sell the institute, you're not going to like what people are going to do with your education. They're going to corporatize it. And once you sell it, you have. You can't control it anymore.
No way back.
Why don't you just focus on getting yourself healthy and I'll manage. Well, while you're recovering, and that's what we did. And so it worked out well in the long run. But key thing I'm pointing out is it's up to us to know what makes us happy and devote time to do it. Because here we are talking about food and exercise. If you don't make time to create happiness in your life, you forget how to do it. And that's why so many people finish their day with a lot of alcohol and junk food, because they need a dimension shift. They got to get out of the flatland that they've created. So it's very normal for Angie to come over here in the morning with the kids and we all drum and we'll call out animals and we'll say butterfly. And the kids will become butterflies. And we got rattles, we got drums, we've got music to dance to, we've got stories to tell, we've got Nerf guns to have house wars. You know, you've. You've got to make happiness a practice because it is a form of nutrition for the psyche. And a lot of people would be amazed if they would create some happiness in their life, that the levity that they get actually has.
More healing effect than probably half the supplements that they're eating.
You know, and in business, I've noticed that, you know, the more happiness I have, the higher my frequency, my vibration. I can take a week off a business.
Yes.
Which rarely happens, but everything. Know the deal. Yeah. Everything works better when you're in that state.
Well, because your energy is affecting everybody else. I mean, you're the. You're the king of organifi. You know, you're the driving force behind it. It's up to us to keep our biological oscillators. Our heart, our brain, and our gut are your three key biological oscillators. They have to be integrated and they have to be healthy. And that's why I did 18 years of Tai chi daily and do all sorts of stuff and drumming and rhythmic practices and rhythmic breathing, because that harmonizes those biological oscillators. So if you come to work and anybody else has disharmony in their biological oscillators, the strength of your grandfather clock will pull them back into line. And so that person becomes much more productive because of your presence. That's why I say the greatest lover is the silent lover, and the greatest teacher is the silent teacher. Because you're teaching and you're loving everywhere you go, whether you open your mouth or know it or not.
Beautiful.
So, you know, it's this is why a lot of people love being around their tai chi master or their guru, because these people are usually very high vibration and being within 30ft of somebody like that is shifting your whole energy field. Have you had any challenges because of all the limitations they're putting on what you can sell supplement wise and doses. I mean, when Covid started, they made everything that was healthy, illegal.
It's becoming harder, but it always has been. You know, there's always been scrutiny from the fda. There's always been, you know, label work that we've had to do. Luckily for us, we've been ahead of the game for the most part. Amazon's going through this whole thing now like compliance and making sure that you have transparency on all your labels. We have all the certs, but they, it's like going to the dmv. You have to jump through so many loopholes and it's becoming harder and harder. But lucky for us, we've been set up for success in that and we've had really talented people working behind the scenes to make that happen because it's, it's a full time job for somebody.
Oh yeah.
Labels and transparency and making sure our search and all the testing and everything is set up correctly.
Yeah. Well, thank you for doing that work for us.
Yeah, of course.
You know, people don't realize that they often think of high quality supplements as an expense, but it's not. It's an investment. You're investing in your own health and at the end of the day, it's a lot cheaper than investing in doctors.
Yeah.
And therapists. Because your mind doesn't work and your guts don't work and your dick doesn't work and your body hurts all the time.
Yeah.
You know, I tell people all the time, do you realize it doesn't take any more energy to create what you want than what you don't want? And it's just that you're in the habit of creating what you don't want.
100% for a long time. And that's why chronic disease is going up and everything else, because it takes 5, 10 years, sometimes 15 years for it to even show up in your body, period.
Cancer typically takes 10, 12, 13 years before you actually get a positive diagnosis.
Yeah. So what are you doing in all that time?
Yeah, you're watering weeds. Not what you want to grow. It's bad lifestyle. It's, you know, there's. Cancer is such a multifactorial thing. There's no one thing you can point at and say that's It. Because you can have cancer from chemical exposure. You can have cancer from unhealed wounds, you can have cancer from stress. You can have cancer from ingredients and foods that are toxic. I mean, the list is so emotions.
Have you studied Dr. Helmer's work at all?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Even that. You know, like the emotional stuff.
Oh, sure, yeah.
Massive.
You know, one of the highest rates of cancer amongst all professions is firemen, because they're working in burning buildings that all the insulation on the wiring and cans of paint. So there's an example of high rates of cancer that has nothing to do with the guys happy at home or what they're eating. It's the fact that you're breathing poison all day trying to rescue people from a poisonous fire. So there's. There's many realities to cancer. But the. The. The simple thing is, with all these diseases, acute and chronic, the chains only as strong as the weakest link. So the. The four doctors and everything we're talking about, it represses genetic weaknesses, but if you get unhealthy, like Covid showed, it's the people with multiple cor. Better. Wasn't healthy people.
Yeah, I agree with that. And I think also every organ has a consciousness, and you literally put your, you know, spirit in that and ask your body what it needs.
Absolutely, yeah. I've been trying to teach people that forever. Steiner goes very deep into that. And that's what Chinese medicine is all about. They tell you the emotions that are held in every organ. There's a lot. Chinese medicines, very evolved. Ayurveda is very evolved. I mean, the. The amount of information that gets to the American public through Western education, compared to what you can get by going to the rest of the world and looking at what they've been doing for thousands of years is pretty shocking.
Well, it's insane to think that, you know, Rockefeller came up with our school system way long ago, and it's just so corrupt.
And he's the one that restructured the medical system. We've talked about that on this podcast a lot of times. Everybody listens to my podcast, probably knows that.
What?
That's not the problem. The problem is we all know about it, and it keeps going on.
Yeah. We allow it.
We spend our tax money on it so that we can keep funding this silly shit. That's the problem. That really shows you that we need a lot more shilaje gummies out there.
Yeah. And Ashwagandha. Because tax day is stressful.
Yeah. Yeah. What do you got on the drawing board other than the Happy supplement or anything you can share?
Yes, more kids stuff.
Oh, good. Yeah, that's important.
We're going big with the kids. Electrolytes for kids.
Very good.
We have protect, which is an immunity boosting. Kids drink great. So it's very easy on their little bodies.
You've already had that out, don't you? Yeah, yeah. I remember doing an ad for it and we have, we give it to the kids.
Tastes awesome. Yeah, Like a berry punch and a grass fed with honey and butter whey.
Oh, nice.
And I'm gonna, it's really high quality. It's expensive to create this, but I'm gonna make it easy for everybody to afford it.
Oh, how are you going to do that?
Well, just not lose my, my ass on.
You have to go in volume, you mean?
Yeah, but more volume, you know, specifically helping people that need more protein in their diet. Clean, clean protein. Yeah, because that's, that's the thing, you know. And then.
Oh, you're, you're sweet. You're talking about a whey. I was thinking ghee, but.
Yeah, no grass fed way.
No protein and ghee, but my brain just mixed the two up. Yeah, well, good. Yeah, high quality whey is good if you can handle dairy.
Yeah. We thought about goat, you know, very good for kids. Like a goat milk supplement for kiddos.
Probably hard to get a volume on goat milk, wouldn't it be?
Yeah, it's hard. It's hard.
There's not that many people that milk goats compared to cows and they don't have nearly the volume.
Yeah, we found somebody that can do it really. So we're in the process of that.
You can always get a specialty item because goat milk's much more compatible with the human body than cow's milk.
Chocolate. Chocolate. Goat milk for kids. Add some minerals.
Great.
It'd be good. What do you want to see? This is a question for you.
That's a good question.
What's missing in the market?
Four doctors for sure.
Paying attention. Yeah, I, I, you know, I don't think supplements, I think.
Support the local organic farmers that are taking care of the food because the soil is the basis of food. So it doesn't matter if your food's organic if the farm's not well managed. I've got studies in my library. I can show you where they went from farm to farm. And look for example at the ratios of fats in a given animal like sheep or cow and the nutrient profiles. And they found that no matter what you studied, the amount of anything you measured changed from farm to farm. And they showed that it correlated directly to the health of the microorganisms in the soil.
Interesting.
So it's. The soil is the basis of nutrition. In the book Science and Agriculture by Arden B. Anderson, he shows that in the root space of most plants, you can find every single hormone that is produced in the human body. And he says what we call vitamins should not be called vitamins. They should be called plant hormones, because that's what they are.
Wow.
But the quality of the plant hormones is based on the microorganism in the fungal population in the soil. So what. What, what do I think we need? I think we need a lot more recognition of good farmers. We need to make them heroes. We need to make sure that we. We have clear criteria, like the Demeter association is the best association in the world, in my opinion, for really holding farmers to a high standard. And we need to be a lot more proactive about identifying fake organic. Because now there's over 100 companies. You got. You got Mars Bar, Coke, Pepsi, Snickers.
All the big players, all the big.
Junk food manufacturers also make organic foods, but they do it under shell companies. So you have to do research to figure out who's doing it. But when you see, I've got a chart given to me by a professor of agriculture that unveils the dragon, and the last people you would ever suspect have organic farms have them, but really, they're still monocropping. They're still doing the same shit. They might not be putting as much chemicals on them, but it's the same dead soils. But they're selling the food to you as though it's certified organic.
Wow.
And then they do studies that compare organic food to commercially raised food and give science that said there's no difference in the nutrient values to actually push you away from organic food. So they capture the fact that people want to buy organic food by creating a label that says it's organic, but they don't actually farm organically. They might reduce some of the chemicals, but they don't do any of the soil science to make it real food. So when you ask me what I would like to see, I would like to see real farmers become cherished as national heroes in every country. I'd like to see the soil become loved and respected and huge amounts of pressure put on any company that's poisoning our soils with dangerous chemicals. From Monsanto to Bayer to all these chemical manufacturers.
Hi. I wanted to jump in here and let you know that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the now iconic book that started it all, how to Eat, Move and Be Healthy by Paul Cech. This special milestone marks two decades of the book guiding individuals on their journey to holistic health. And in that time we have brought out two editions as well as versions in Swedish and Dutch. If you already have a copy, you will know that it is full of Paul's timeless and tested advice and it has helped thousands of readers as Paul gets letters and emails from people all over the world. But did you know that the idea for the book came to him because he would have to repeat the same instructions over and over each time he took on a new client? So he decided to put his key coaching points into a book so he could help more than one person at a time. Fun fact. The book was initially going to be called Flatten youn Abs Forever. And the first draft was so long that the standing joke in our office was that all you had to do was lie on the floor with the book on your stomach and you would have instant flat abs. In Honor of the 20th anniversary, I am thrilled to announce that we are releasing two exclusive versions of this book. The standard commemorative edition is perfect for first time readers looking to discover the book for the first time or those loyal followers who want to revisit it again. And for those who seek something truly unique, we present the special collector's edition, an exclusive limited number with each book personally signed by Paul himself. Hurry, as both commemorative editions will be a limited print run. So to get your copy of the 20th anniversary edition of how to Eat, Move and Be Healthy, go to check group eatmove20. That's chek. Group forward slash eatmove20.
If you ask me what I like to see, I would like to see things that support mothers to feed kids. So things like.
Jerky or.
You know, the Native Americans used to make pemmican. You know what pemmican is? Pemmican. The way that they would make pemmican is they would take.
An animal like beef or deer. They would grind the meat up and then they would melt the fat until it was liquid. Then they would mix things like blueberries into it for a carbohydrate source. So they'd have fat and berries. Then they'd put a layer of meat and let it soak the fat up. Then they would put more fat on top of that and another layer of meat. They would make these bags that were like boulders. There was the 90 pound bags and then they would cut it in slices. And when they were in battle that's what the warriors would carry with them, is these blocks of pemmican, and it can last for months and months.
Amazing.
And it's super, super nutritious. It's literally like dried, fatty meat that you. That you can keep out of a refrigerator.
It tastes delicious, too.
It does. I've. I've actually ran across a couple of companies that make pemmican. Really? And it's fantast. I mean, imagine if kids could go to school with a hockey puck of pemmican they could chew on, and it had some shilaje minerals added to it, and it had some flavoring and berries. You could literally have a meal the size of a hockey puck, and it would be super nutritious, and we would be supporting all the farmers that make that possible. That's what I want to see. Go for it.
I love that. Yeah. Let's do it. This is the conception of the idea.
Get it on like a dog, baby.
Let's go. Come on. We can do it in powder form, you know, with the goat milk, with a lot of the good fats. Put the berries in there as well. But it's gonna have to be super dense because you want it to be 4 or 500 calories at least, loaded with fat.
Well, it's just got to be good for their brain, that's all.
Yeah.
And the thing is, it. It's. It's ground and dried, so it lasts.
A long time, which I love. I love the.
You ever seen the mre, like, for military guys?
Yeah.
You just tear the package open, you add water. But this case, Pemmican, you don't add water because it's full of fat.
Yeah.
It would be, like, really, like a tasty, fatty piece of beef jerky.
Sounds so good.
Yeah.
Let's do it.
I mean, this is what I mean. This is. Why study all these older books, because they tell you how to do these. You study, you know. You know, like, that's what Weston Price did, is travel around the world and learned all this stuff.
Well, yeah. And kids formulas, like baby formulas, are absolute garbage. Most of them have seed oils and.
All sorts of chemicals.
Yeah. Even Weston A. Prices, like I read, has a little sunflower oil in it. I'm like, I don't know if you want to add that.
I'm sure that somebody has a reason for that. I don't know.
Which brings up a point. You know, there's a lot of attack on seeds and Seed oils. Seed oils. And the problem is, is that if you start isolating stuff. So if you've got oil from a given plant. Now, rapeseed oil is not even a food crop. That's an industrial crop. We shouldn't be eating that. That, that's canola oil. That's, you know, it's poisonous.
It's called rapeseed.
That's what rapes. Yeah.
Rapes your body.
It does. And, and so. But my point is this, because I see Mercola writing all these articles all the time, and I understand his intention. But as a therapist who's got a lot of experience, everybody's body has different nutritional needs. And just because something has a lot of omega 6 fatty acids doesn't mean it's the devil, because there could be other nutrients in there. And if you eat the plant as it's designed to be eat, then you have nutritional co factors that create a balanced product, which is a lot different than extracting a whole bunch of seed oils out. So the point I'm making is eating a flax seed or ground flaxseeds is a different thing than eating, drinking, or consuming a lot of flaxseed oil. Eating sunflower seeds is different than sunflower seed oil.
100.
You see my point?
Yeah.
So I think that we have to be careful not to throw the baby out with the bath water because it's, how was it raised, how is it prepared and processed and what's added to it, like sunflower seeds that are just dried sunflower seeds with some salt and seasoning added to them are a great thing. But commercially raised sunflower seeds with a bunch of shit added to them to make them taste good is just as bad as commercial sunflower seed oil, 100%. So I think my only point is you have to be careful for people out there reading all this literature, because you can actually vilify something that is a plant that actually has nutritional value. And there's the other thing is we have to have more nutrient variety in our diets. The average person only eats 10 to 12 foods their entire lifetime, based on research.
Oh my God.
Okay, well, there's like a million. There's 350,000 edible plants and a million edible animals in nature. Okay. So if you're only eating 10 to 12 foods your entire lifetime, you're going to be nutritionally deficient, you're going to have problems. And then if you're buying cheap supplements to compensate for that, you're just adding chemical toxicity and garbage to your body. There's no fucking way to get around eating a whole food diet from real clean soils with farmers that know what they're doing. So that's point one. Point two is, you know, there's a big difference between research on bad stuff or research on the use of an isolated product like sunflower seed oil or any of the other seed oils that's taken too much and used too much, versus frying your tide food in peanut oil once in a while versus drinking peanut oil as some kind of a supplement every day or putting it in your bodybuilding shake. I'm just using this as a metaphor, example. So people get lost in, in the fog of so called science because they don't have enough understanding of how nutrition actually works in nature. And so the bottom line is whole foods and a wide variety. That's why I say in my training, I have a picture of a rainbow. I said, you need to make sure you're trying to get foods from each of these colors. And, and all you got to do is go through the supermarket and say, okay, where's my yellow foods? Where's my red foods? You know, red meat? Well, that's obvious. It's called red meat. You know blueberries, they're blue, right? A lot of people don't get much blue in their diet. Eggplant, it's blue and purple. There's the top of your rainbow. You know, the reason, the reason I bring that up is because it's a simple structure that any mother or anyone can use to say, when I go shopping, I got to try to make sure I got something from each of these colors in my diet with some regularity. Because research shows that if you're eating from that color spectrum, you're probably getting a wide enough variety of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients that you're not going to have trouble. So there's a simple tip anyone can use.
I love it.
Well, Drew, now that you're a papa and you are face up on the rigors of marriage and women go through a lot of changes. Once they get changes, it can become very different. And.
We have to go through a process of.
Where we used to have freedom to do whatever we want. Now we have a partner that needs more of our attention. Now we have a child that needs attention. That can be a challenging transition.
So what advice would you give to the younger version of you at 43? Seeing as how I'm 43 now, as a new dad, recently married too.
Yeah. Well, I would say.
Be clear, very clear about what your partner needs. Give her permission to say what makes you feel most loved and supported by me.
Then look at what you Need. So I call this establishing your I value. So you look at your four doctors.
Yep.
And say, this is where I need time for a spiritual practice each day. This is where I need time for exercise, meals, where possible, can be with, with wife and child.
This is where I need to have some time to express my creativity, however that might be. So you take your four doctors and I call that establishing sacred time. So you build that into your schedule and you ask her what she needs and you say, okay, you might she want to go to the gym three times a week, let's say, but she needs help who's going to take care of the kids? So you have to figure out, is that you going to do that? Is it a nanny going to do that? And so what you do is you say, this is what Drew needs to feel good in his life so that he can show up for wife and daughter. And she has to write down her I needs. Then you sit down and say, where's the conflict? If I get my exercise at the, at 10 o' clock to 12 o', clock, and that's when I like to be in the gym. But that's when you need me because you want to have lunch or do something for yourself. You have to figure out what is the best compromise. So your I values have to go to we. And to make the we work, you have to see where is there a compromise in the out. Oh, in the, in the, in the. In the values needed. So she might say, well, you know, you get to go to the sauna and you get to go to the gym three, four times a week, but I only get to go once. So how do we balance that out? She might say, I need time to be with you. I'll give you an example. You know, I'll tell you how this works. You know, I'm driven just like you are, and I'm busy as busy can possibly be. And Angie was getting upset at me because I would be working from early in the morning till dinner time and she didn't feel like she was getting enough time with me. And I found it very stressful because I'm a mission oriented guy. And, and so one day.
I just felt I should go out and visit Angie. And it was at the time of the day she normally feeds the animals. So I got up out of my chair so I could use a break from the chair and I went out and she was out there feeding the animals. And I said, hey, I just came out to say hi and give you a hug and a kiss and and she had tears in her eyes.
Oh, my gosh.
And she said, thank you so much for coming out and just being with me. And she said. She looked me right in the eyes and she said, you know, Paul, if I could just have five minutes a day of your undevoted time where you're really present with me just for me, that's all I need. Is that too much to ask from you? And it hit me like a freaking arrow between the eyes because I realized I'd spent the last two years telling myself, I'm too busy. But really all she needed was five minutes where I wasn't thinking about something else, wasn't in a hurry to leave, but I was just present with her as my wife. And then I realized that I felt better too. Because when your partner's wound or feeling disconnected from you, you can't get that out of you. In other words, I can't be at my creative potential or my work potential when a part of my soul is in a state of distress or chaos or feeling disconnected or not loved. And so I learn that we have to find compromises so that we can each get we what we need. Like, she needed to have a sauna, too. She wants to use a cold plunge, too. So these things said, okay, well, we need a nanny that has the this many hours. And she also really missed coaching people and doing her shamanic work because she was so busy being a mommy all the time. So we said, well, let's just invest the money in a nanny. Right? Her. Right. She was having an identity crisis. Her sense of self was diminishing too much. Yeah, she felt too disconnected from her reality.
So the point I'm making is you have to get clear about what you need, and she's got to get clear about what she needs. And then you got to find out where there's any conflict and work together on who. How are you going to work that out? Does it mean you sacrifice a little gym time or I sacrifice a little work time then to keep the family in a state of harmony, it's worth a million times more than you lose in the gym. Yeah, okay. Do I need a chef? Do I need a skilled nanny? One of the things that we found that's amazing because, you know, we've got two kids at home, so it's double the activity. But we found that inviting.
Their friends over because those mothers are in the same boat. But when the kids are together and they're playing, they're easier to manage. And so we regularly have people bring their kids over and, you know, they'll go out and sit in the farmyard and Angie and the ladies will be at the table talking and. But now you've got a tribe. And so when you have this social interaction and the kids get to interact with it makes it easier on everybody, which is exactly why they say it takes a tribe to raise a child. Then you have to say, what are my all values first? What do I need? What do we need? And what are we doing together as a gift to the world? What are we modeling for the world? What is the gift that we give.
To the collective if it's nothing other than showing people how to live a healthy, balanced life? So for us, what we give to the world is the Czech Institute and my teachings. So we all have the same mission, vision and values. The all says, this is why we do it as a gift to the world. The we says, this is how we do it. So it works for each other. And the eye says, this is what I need to be fully in the game with you as your partner. You can't escape that reality.
Hi, everybody. I am so excited to tell you about Wild Pastures amazing meat delivery service. They have beef, chicken, pork and wild caught fish. My family and I have been enjoying their meat for quite some time now, and I just couldn't wait to tell you about it any longer. We had an amazing barbecue this weekend, and I'm still high off the meat. And they use a whole network of regenerative farms, which means that you're getting a different ecosystem from each farm, which means a different nutritional profile, which means nutritional diversity, which means health and vitality, which is exactly what we need right now in the world for ourselves and our families, so we can all make a difference in the world. And Matt Smith's going to tell us more about this amazing company, Wild Pastures, about their offering and how you can get it. Thank you, Matt.
Thanks so much, Paul. And I'm excited to tell your listeners what they can get today and how we can help them out. So, you know, as you know, pastured meats are crazy expensive. And so our goal with Wild Pastures is to tap into this network of regenerative farmers and to finally create the solution of where we can get the highest quality meats delivered straight to your door for the most affordable prices around. And so we're on average seeing that we are 40% cheaper than any other delivery option out there and that our customers have reportedly saved on average, $1,000 on their grocery bill from meat alone. And so Wild Pastures is a regenerative meat delivery service that is solving this problem. And you can get 100% grass fed and finished as well as pasture raised pork and poultry and wild caught seafood from Alaska delivered strawberries straight to your door. So it's far more convenient, it's far more environmentally friendly because we're using regenerative farms entirely. We don't use feedlots ever. So the nutrition profiles are way better. You can definitely taste the difference. I know we were talking about this on our just before we hopped on you having a Father's day barbecue and how incredible the pasture raised chicken and beef short ribs were. And you can really taste the difference. Right?
I'm still high.
And so our goal is to remove the roadblock from people's minds that if they want to eat healthy, it's too expensive. And so that's where Wild Pastures comes in, is we are delivering with our own fleets of trucks whenever possible. We haven't raised our meat prices in over three years at this point. And we're really just creating convenience for the consumer and kind of being the high tide that rises all ships. If we can opt more people into a system like this, the cost stays down for everybody. And so there is a myriad of benefits that go into that. And so today, if your listeners want to try Wild Pastures and taste the difference and experience what it's like, go to wildpastures.com forward/paulcheck or click the link in the show notes and save 20% off for life plus get free shipping for life plus get $15 off your first box.
That's a mind blowing deal. I can't even imagine. I mean, I've never heard of an offer like that. And you know, most people will hear an offer like that and think this can't be that good, but I'm telling you it's not. It's not only that good, it's really good or I would not be sharing this on my podcast. I think everybody needs to get a hold of wild pastures for their family, for their vitality, for their longevity, and for the future of this planet. So thank you guys very much. So, Matt, just repeat the website again.

You'll be glad you did.
You figured it out. Because I see and I talk to a lot of men and women who do two separate things where it's like the Woman has her own career and her own job and then the guy has his own career and own job. And I think for me, like, that wouldn't work because it takes away from the, all it takes away from our focus of what we're doing together. Like, I consider my wife Bailey, my business partner, you know, and she gives, she's my oracle. So she's giving me advice all the time in regards to business from just witnessing it.
Feminine.
Exactly.
Feeling nature that guys like you and I need more of. So they're more in touch with the right brain reality where we're more in touch with the logical, methodical, doing bottom line stuff. But you're right, you know, that's why if you don't have a clear sense of mission, vision and values, it's easy to end up finding yourself in squabbles and spats because that's the only way that you get time together.
Oh, so true.
I'll tell you a quick story to make this point crystal clear. A friend of mine, I won't mention his name, was having some problems with his wife. And.
His wife was spending thousands and thousands of dollars a month on expensive high heeled shoes and other women's paraphernalia. But it was pushing his bills up so high it was stressing the hell out of him. And so he had tried going to counseling and all these other things, but it wasn't working. So he asked if I would get involved and they hired me. And, and so I sat down with her and so I said to her, I'm curious, how many pairs of high heeled shoes do you have? She said, last time I counted, I think 137.
No.
Yes. I said, well, you can't possibly wear all those shoes. She was a school teacher. I said, why? She said, paul.
What I found is that if I get the bill high enough, my husband will ask me if he can take me out to dinner and we will sit and talk about the bill and he'll lay it all out in front of me and he'll try to ask me to please stop doing that. But she said, that's the only time I get with him every day.
Oh my God.
So she said, even though I've told him this all the time, every day I'm going to do, I'm doing this because I need to get your attention. He would never actually stop his behavior. He would just take me out to dinner, spend a lot of money on me and tell me to stop doing it. So she said if I stop doing it, I don't get my meeting with him once a month, it would have been a lot cheaper for him to just come home from work earlier and listen to what her needs were because he was spending 2500amonth on shoes and clothes just so she could get his attention and spend one night a month with him. Okay, so at the end of the day, what do you need? Get clear. What do we need? How do we give it to each other? Get clear. And what are we doing it for? To express as an example to the world. And what is their gift to the world? My gift to the world is the Czech Institute and my teachings and my podcast and everything that I do. And those two women make it possible because they're part of that team. They're part of that mission. Even if you have a wife in a completely separate profession, you have to say, if the world is watching, what are we giving? It might be that maybe you donate to certain charities, or it might be that you.
Are writing a children's book. There's got to be something together that you are doing together as a gift to the world. And if there's nothing else, ask yourself this question. If everybody in the world did what we do every day, would it be a better place? Would there be less spouse marital divorces? Would there be less stress in the family? Would there be less doctors visits due to adrenal burnout? Would there be less bad drugs being purchased to compensate for not being honest in our relationships and overcoming our own biases, our workaholism, our unhealed wounds, our mommy and daddy issues that aren't resolved? In my morning prayers every day, I say, thank you, great spirit, for supporting me so that my family can be a living example to the world, so that anyone that comes here and spends time with us can walk away saying, I can see how I can emulate that and live better.
Right? And that it took me.
An embarrassingly long amount of time to finally have someone I love cry and say, all I need is five minutes of your undivided time. Because in my mind was thinking, okay, I'm gonna have to take a whole hour. And, yeah, I would keep justifying.
You're supporting. You're the breadwinner. The ego's crafty.
It's very crafty. And you can convince yourself of your importance. You can convince yourself of a lot of things. It's like a drug addict that convinces themselves that they have to have this or, you know, I'm not going to be able to whatever their story is, Right? And the problem is this goes on in relationship. Look, the average Marriage only lasts 2.5 years, and the average person's married three times in their lifetime. Well, clearly something's not working out, because the old Christian values of till death do you part have been thrown out the window for a very long time. So it's really important to say, you know, who do I choose to be? Who do we choose to be? And are we leaving the world a little bit better than we found it? And how can we be a little kinder to each other? Because after 18 months of marriage, your projector breaks down and you got to come face to face with the reality of the person you married. You know this. The euphoria of the sex isn't there anymore.
But if you love the person you're with and you get along well, it's easier to tame the animal because there's something being created that's more than an animal can provide. You understand that, like, you can have sex with all the women you want to, but you'll never get deeper than your dick in your spiritual development.
Yeah.
So learning to make sacrifices for making love produces love.
And.
And it took me too long to learn that.
That's beautiful.
Okay, so here I am at 62. You're 43. If you get that now, you're ahead of the curve. But most men need to get that. This should be taught to men and women before they in high school. You should learn this before you become a parent, and you should learn lots about relationships before you even start having sex with people, because the. What's going on out in the world right now is a freaking disaster.
It's insane. It's absolutely crazy.
Yeah. There's my advice for you.
Yeah, it's a whole book.
Well, I did Angie and I wrote a chapter in Ben Greenfield's book he wrote on.
Oh, very nice.
It's a very big book.
Yeah. Boundless parenting.
Yes. So we wrote like, a 33 page chapter in there and covered all these things that we have learned.
Thank you, my friend.
It's a learning curve. But I'll tell you What, Drew. I'm 62. It's the first time in my life I've had a real sense of family and kids, that I know how important it is to love them. And with the world as fucked up as it is, it is damn important to ground your children in love and common sense and a good education, because a child without it doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of making you in the world. And if you want a Drug addict or someone who goes and gets their sex organs chopped off to send a message to mommy or an eating disorder. Yeah, you. You've really got to invest the time to love your partner, love your children and get your priorities right. And look for people that have learned how to do that through the school of hard knocks or because they were educated with good parental models. We don't have a lot of good parental models.
No.
Look, when I think about my childhood and all the people I grew up with.
I'm lucky if I can think of one family I can only remember one that actually lived in a way that if I would have emulated, I would have alleviated a lot of stress for my family, for my children and for everybody else. Point being, we've had these problems for a long time in our culture, you know, and we're all on treadmills, running as fast as we can to get to the next paycheck. And that excludes time to be with the people we love because we end up living off of credit cards, trying to drive a cool car and be hip with our clothes and our latest iPhone. But none of that matters when your kids strung out on heroin or failing in school because they're violent or cut out. You know, I have been a therapist for a lot of children that have really serious problems and for their parents because they can't figure it out. And it always goes right back to the home environment.
Mom and dad.
Mom and dad. And you know, I just. My point is, I'm admitting that the milu in which we exist, in which we become lovers and parents in is a very, very dysfunctional environment and we have very few role models to help us. So what we end up with is we end up trapped in a pre programmed belief system that's driven by corporations that are extracting tons of money out of our dysfunction because they got a drug and a procedure for everything that they can make us have. And it's just not a healthy model. And there's nothing more healing and stabilizing for a couple and their children then.
Love and.
Stability, regulated nervous systems and rhythms, healthy rhythms. We eat this time and we eat together like forever. We have to deal with the kids wanting to watch iPads and it's insane stuff at the table. The rule you will nobody, none of us, not even us, can be on a phone at a dinner table. That's against the rule. No television. We eat together, we're with each other. And you cannot run away from the table and turn the TV on or your video game. Or any of that till everybody's done and you get excused from the table. You. We have to create a stable rhythm. David Bohm says no man can do deep thinking until he has healthy rhythms. And his dad. Damn true.
Wow.
I love that.
Yeah.
It's so true, though. Like, my daughter's six months old and she'll see an iPad on a table or a cell phone.
It's very exciting to them.
And it's like they just want to touch it, hold it, and see what's going on with it. And I'm like, this is so dangerous.
Their brains are wide open, too.
Yeah. So dangerous. Thanks for the therapy, buddy.
Well, if it feels like it's hard for you ever, don't worry. Because even though I know everything I just said, I have to manage the dragon in me every day.
Yeah.
Look, I was raised by a father that never said good job until I was 19 years old and he saw me win a major stock car race. That was the first time I ever heard good job out of his lips. And the fact that he was even there shocked the hell out of me. And so.
The broken child in me has worked so hard to get acknowledgement from the world for my being here. So I. Even though I've done tons of therapy on that, I still have to watch. Because when you spent most of your developmental life in a crisis of feeling loved, wanted, and needed, and you find that success and.
Being rewarded for developing new ideas and new systems, it. It's. It's easy for the hungry child to begin to become an addict for the next big thing, the next product, the next book, the next amazing workshop. It's the sense of meaning and value. Like, I'm here to do something, and finally I figured out what it is. But you can easily find yourself feeling like you're dying inside when you're not doing that. Not realizing there's more to life than just working and getting accolades. And it ultimately comes to the realization that you have to love yourself enough. My point is, it's easy to wake up one day and realize that your five minutes that you promised with your wife hasn't happened for three or four days.
But anyhow, these are things we all got to learn. And. And I have a lot of empathy for people because we have very poor or non existent role models.
I didn't have any when you said you could think of one. Yeah, I can't think of one.
Yeah, it's hard.
Yeah.
I admit. It took me 54 years. And even since Mana was born, Mana's still My greatest teacher and Zoe too. Like they will tell me.
Oh yeah.
They say things that, you know, make it clear that they're very aware when dad's not fully present or.
You know, like I'll give a good example. Mana really loves me to put him to bed and tell stories. But it's. I get up at 3:30 in the morning so by the time he wants me to put him to bed at around 8 o', clock, if I tell him stories and wait till he falls asleep, I tend to fall asleep in his bed. The problem is once I get up because I spent 25 years on airplanes, my cortisol goes back up and I can't get to sleep again. One day Mama Mana came to me and he said, daddy, you know, I talk to my friends and their dads all put them to bed. And I'm the only one in school whose daddy doesn't tell him stories at night and put them to bed. Why is that? Right. So here's my, you know, then seven year old son just pinning the tail right on the donkey right straight up. He's like, he wants a honest answer. He's like not going to accept any excuses. So my point is your children become like they're the real Jesus, they're the reincarnation of Jesus. So for you Christians, if you want to know where Jesus at, just walk right into your kids bedroom.
Yeah, I feel that. I feel like every month that goes by, she's only six months old, but it's like all the trauma that I had in my body from being one month, two month all the way up to six, it's like I'm releasing everything that I experienced, all the trauma, the torture, the pain because I was waterboarded as a child.
Oh Jesus.
Like really bad. My dad put cigarettes out on my forehead if I couldn't tie my shoes fast enough.
Oh yeah.
So even holding her in the bathtub.
Yeah.
I feel my nervous system has to regulate. Like this is safe for me to do this with her and I'm just purging.
Yeah. Well, the best thing news is breathe through your belly.
Exactly.
And just remind yourself, I am happy, I am healthy, I am whole.
Yeah.
Whenever those thoughts come up, you have to immediately acknowledge the dream. I got my baby.
Yeah.
And thank God I learned how not to be a parent so I could.
Be a parent 100%.
God gives us children to have every reason to truly evolve.
I agree. Yep. Relationships and children.
Yeah. The punchline is I won't go backwards now because I feel more at peace Inside, my children are so beautiful. And I know the world they're coming into, the world our kids are inheriting is so chaotic that if a child goes into this world today without being anchored with a very secure attachment to mom and dad and a good education and a healthy body.
They'Re going to live in hell. In fact, going to hell will probably be nice compared to what they're going to go through. And I can't, I cannot release my children out there without being well armed with love, tribe and tribe and. And food and.
Yeah.
Wisdom, knowledge inside of them.
100. That's the work.
Yeah, that is. It's the work of love. You know, we, a lot of us grow up thinking that sex is love, but we forget that love is always a responsibility. Where there's love, there's responsibility. You love your plants in your house, forget to water them, they die. You have foregone your responsibility. You don't care. Take care of your dog, it gets sick. Wherever there's love, there's responsibility. The problem is we always want to feel good, but we don't want the responsibility.
Yeah.
And you can't ever make it far in life if you don't accept the responsibility of love. It's just impossible.
Relationships are the vehicle of love.
Hey, lots of love. And thank you to my sponsor.
