This short YouTube monologue (Dr. Gary Sanchez) responds to the Biden–Trump debate, arguing that voters should prioritize understanding a politician’s underlying motivation — their “why” — rather than treating debate promises (the “what”) at face value. The speaker suggests knowing a candidate’s why would make voting decisions easier and more trustworthy.

Hey, can we talk for a minute about last night's Biden Trump debate? Doesn't matter who you wanted to win. That was painful to watch, wasn't it? But what really struck me was why are we still doing it this way? Why are we listening to them tell us what it is they're going to do when we know they're not going to do most of it anyways? Why don't we focus on their motivation for being a president, for being in the political game? Why are they doing what they're doing? Because when we know their why, then their what, what they're telling us they're going to do will make a lot more sense. We can believe it. We can trust it, if we know their why. So don't you think it would be more valuable if we knew every politician's why before we go? Listen to them before they ask us to vote for them. Think of how much easier it would be to vote for somebody when you know their why. What do you think? Do you want to know their why first?
