These last few years have made us question everything.
Our relationships.
Our jobs.
What constitutes an office.
And who we are.
In a.
World filled with chaos, confusion, and uncertainty. It's time for some clarity. It's time to start understanding one another.
It's time to start understanding ourselves.
We envision a world where everyone knows their why. But even more, we envision a world where everyone knows their why. O s. Their why, their how, and their what. The operating system that drives you, that lets the world know where you stand.
What your unique gift is, and most importantly, who you are.
Yoshi, are you ready?
Hello and welcome to why Not Wednesday. Hey, Sean. Welcome, man. We're. We're talking to you from all, all the way around the world. Nobody could see you. But man, you. You were getting pumped up by that music. I could see you reacting to it. So cool to have you on. You know, we've known each other for a while and we've been partnering with you. I posted about you this morning. It's really cool. We have a little bit of a history together. But let me introduce you correctly, right? So we're talking today to the founder and CEO of Potabook, Sean Rosenboym. And his why OS is to make sense of the complex and challenging, find better ways, and build trust. So he is a. He's a man who is certain he's going to change the world as we know it. A man on a mission to bring truth to the people. He believes that it is every person's duty, and I believe what he believes, every single person's duty to take massive action towards fulfilling his or her true potential. He believes that and, and make a difference. So he's on a mission to give you all the tools. So why Not Wednesday? Why Nation? I want to welcome Sean Rosenborn. Great to have you here, Sean. How are you?
Wow. Wow, Dan, first of all, I'm so, so, so excited to be here. Thank you, you know, like, everybody, for being. Thank you, Dan, for actually bringing me on. I mean, you know, just our connection is so strong and, you know, we've been just doing some great things together. So I'm just so, so, so pumped to be here. So thank you.
And we appreciate you. You know, it's. We're. We're. Let everybody know where we're talking to you from.
Israel, close to Tel Aviv.
Yeah. So you're in Israel, close to tel Aviv. It's 10:30 at night and. And Sean still has all that energy, so we really appreciate you being on, staying up late for us. So let's get started. You know, we. One of the first things we did when we met Sean and it's been a while, is go through your why operating system. So you're somebody who likes to make sense of the complex and challenging. You're a problem solver. How you do that is by finding better ways and sharing them with others, which is what your mission is all about. And overall, what people can count on from you is a trusting relationship. You're somebody that if you're in a relationship with Sean and Sean says he's going to do something, you can count it on it. Getting. Getting done. Does that, does that still resonate with you?
Wow. Like, so much, so much. You can. I mean, fantastic.
I remember that first conversation we had. And so you, you know, Potter book was getting started and you had some great authors that you had brought on, and that has been probably the most valuable thing, you know, on this show. I like to have coaches on. We have new coaches join us every week and I like to feature them. But I also like to invite friends of Y Institute like yourself, that have been helping us connect with some of our amazing guests. And you. You know, when we started listing the number of coaches that Sean brought to Y Institute, there are some really big names that you have helped us bring on. But I think it started with that connection, right? We connected because you're a guy who likes to solve problems. You're a guy who believes in finding better ways. We're a better way company. So when you find those better ways, you. You saw a better way to get the folks that you're working with onto a great podcast. Hey there. There's. Gary says, hey, Sean, good to see you.
There's. There's our. It's always great when our founder and CEO chimes in and says hello. So, you know, you mentioned that connection, and I think it was really cool that we connected. We. We didn't. You know, I tell people sometimes when we talk, you know, when we talk, it's about making a connection and figuring out how we can help each other. And that's. That's part of your mission. Right? Every one of us has a duty to take massive action towards fulfilling his or her true potential. That. That's a. That's a God mission. So what makes you so committed to that mission, Sean?
Wow. You know, Dan, I feel like once, you know, like, it's really simple, you know, like, it's really feel like actually once. That is every single one of us, we really commit to take massive action every single day towards really fulfilling his own potential. We could be able to do so much in this fold. I mean, so, so, so much by really getting like just, you know, simply just aligned on this. And so to me, it's like just all about really getting to the place of really having these, you know, these powers and, you know, just like just actual connection to yourself to really do so much for the world. So that's where that comes from.
And you, and I mean, I can see the passion in you. So Sean, won't you tell the audience what exactly is that that you do? What is Potter book do? What does Sean do?
Yes, sir. So, you know, just really simply, I help mission driven entrepreneurs get on the ideal digital stages where the ideal clients are in masses. Okay. It's very simple.
Yeah, so. So you broke it down. Pretty simple. I've got, you know, I've got. Lynn is on Watson. I know Bill Summers usually jumps on. A lot of our coaches are trying to figure out how do they get on, on the right stages and with, with the right message to get to their ideal client. So what process do you take your clients through to figure out which stages you want to get them on? Right.
So, you know, just we, you know, I, you know, just thinking like just once I get, you know, to work with someone, I, you know, get on a call with him, first of all and you know, really, you know, just, first of all, just really do a. Pretty much just a pre interview, right? To really like just, you know, to really understand where they are, first of all, as a speakers. Second, to really learn more about the stories and third, to learn more about who is it that they serve and how do they do that. And then by having all that information, I tickle that and I look at, you know, just all the databases that I have of podcasts and really come up with the strategy of, you know, just what does, you know, podcast would look like and who should be listening to it. And I start to research and, you know, just get the ball moving.
So, so I see Bill Summers. He says, hey, I'm here. He wanted to make sure we knew he was here. So he's commenting. Bill, you know, Bill, Bill is a great curator of articles and he's always sharing great articles with all of us. He that that's kind of what he does. What you do is you get people connected. How did you start that journey? Sean, tell us about the backstory that, you know, there's a backstory to where you were working for someone else and you saw the work that you were doing and tell it Tell us how that you evolved into Potter book.
Sure, Absolutely. So, you know, Dan, this story actually really, you know, this video actually aligns with the theme of this show, which is, you know, simply, like to see. No, because why not? And here's how, like, just around, you know, the beginning of 2019, I was working with an influencer, and, you know, simply, like, at first I was, you know, really, you know, actually helping him with sales, right? And, you know, just really, you know, getting it booked on, you know, like, just getting them featured on some articles and all that. And then I realized, like, just something really special, which was that I had great, great connection to marketing. And it was, you know, simply, like, just by accident. And so just really with marketing in order to really have phenomenal success other than, you know, really, like, just, you know, just figuring out, you know, like to actually be the basics, you know, just learning about, you know, like this actual, you know, actually ideal client avatar and, you know, like, just, you know, actually diving deep into, you know, access to a niche and all that. You then have to really figure out the right ways to get your message out there, right? Tactics. And it's really has to be different, right? And so, like, many people are looking into so many tactics that, you know, like, just every time there's, like, you know, there's like, this new hack to marketing, right? And there's things that stick forever, which is connection and which is, you know, like, it's actually, you know, the actual understanding of the, you know, you know, you know, the actual understanding of, like, your ideal client. And really, one day I was, you know, like, exploring for some content from Tony Robbins, which I was listening to a ton at the time. And, you know, like, just there was, like, just actually this interview with Lewis House on School of Greatness. And, you know, then it was fantastic. I mean, you know, his students asked him some incredible questions. You know, Tony came up with incredible insights, like, just huge insights for the audience, right? Just in business and in life. And then what happened was, you know, just he actually did it for 30 minutes. And at the end of the interview, Luis asked him about a challenge that he does in about one month or, you know, actually or so. And Donny took all the insights that he shared on these podcasts, and he connected the dots to the challenge. And what happened was the challenge made so much sense, and, you know, it was just actually for free. And at that moment, I realized, like, the actual power of stages in general and podcasts in more specifically, because, you know, like I said, you actually get to listen to the person, you know, to actually get, you know, to, you know, to, you know, to actually feel and to build trust and to learn about it, you know. Yeah. And so just then the insights actually, you know, connect to something that he gives and, you know, the actual listener can, you know, can take massive action towards really following you and, you know, taking like, just, you know, actually getting more. And so what I did is I realized that I really have to book that influencer on podcasts. And so guess what happened then? Within 20 days, I booked him on 25 podcasts. And it was so fantastic. I mean, you know, the actual impact of this was huge. Right. And then, like, just, let's say just about two months later, you know, we actually stopped working together. And I was like, just out there, you know, really, like, just looking for, you know, what should I do next? And I really knew that I really want to do my own thing.
Yeah.
Then this fantastic woman just, you know, you know, just actually reached out to me. Her name is Laurie Lynn, and she's, you know, just one of the most, you know, fierce women that I ever met. She comes to me and she says, shawn, you know, just two months ago, you actually reached out to me and you wanted to get Kave on my podcast. And, you know, I just love the approach that you've taken. I love the follow up. I love the connection that you formed. And I am an editor, and I would really, really, really want you to work with my authors. And at that moment, I had this click. I knew I have to do this. I was like, why not? I mean, it makes so much sense. Right, right. And so, you know, so she's an editor.
She's an editor. She works with lots of authors, and she saw through you the, the connection to, hey, let's get these authors on some podcasts. And you were able to get your influencer on 25 podcasts. How long did that take you? That was pretty incredible.
Less than 20 days. It was probably 18 to 19 days, something like that.
Yeah. So now He's. He's on 25 podcasts. He's talking about his book. We're getting the word out about his book. You saw that was successful and you said, why not do it for a lot of people. I was looking at the list of coaches that, that you've. The list of authors that you've brought to us. I mean, I was looking. And that's a who's who. So you've brought us people like JB Owen, Brandon Brittingham, Les Brown, you know, Technically through jb, but through you also the incredible Bob Bird, the go giver. Right. We had Dr. Matt Chalmer, Ben Baker, Cody Cottle, Brandon Alcassair, Jared Springer, Gina Ballerin, who's been on the show a couple of times, Craig Weldon, the General, and then David Kesey. So that's a lot of really impactful people that you were able to get. Book on Gary's podcast, Beyond your why. And we've made connections with all of those people and have done multiple programs. Gary was on Ignite the Hunger within with Less and jb. So, you know, you. You. You've connected us with some great people. How did you get connected with these people? How did you find them? And then why did. Why. Why did they hire you? Because I think that's the question. Other authors that are listening want to know what made them hire you? What. What's your unique selling proposition that you brought to them?
Yes, sir. So, first of all, you know, really how I got to them is, you know, just about, you know, like, just giving value and giving value and giving value. I mean, you know, you know, something like, you know, it's actually by, you know, actually, you know, connecting with people one on one by creating content by, you know, just developing conversations and looking for the best ways to help, you know, just like we did together. I mean, it makes, you know, actually, you know, just so much sense. And then what happened was, you know, what really led them to close with me was, you know, was the actual fact that I get so deep into details, you know, looking for better ways, you know, to make it happen all the time, you know, to, you know, you know, actually looking into the processes and how to make it better with every single client and how to, you know, to give more all the time. Right. So that they could trust me. Right. To make sense out of that. And so that's.
Yeah.
So just that's what I feel really, you know, you know, like, actually makes them, you know, to feel like they can trust me, like they should move forward, like they should go for this tour with me and, you know, not with someone else or not at all.
So you get. You're getting a little love from Bella. She says, I so appreciate Sean and his connections and sending us people. Thank you, Sean. So I know you. You've probably had some conversations with Bella as. As we're working with the different authors. She does an amazing job of scheduling, Gary, getting great people on, and, hey, look at that. You're gonna. Gotta get you on the podcast soon, Sean, so we can Catch up on all your successes.
You.
You know what? Yeah. Congratulations to Sean. Well, here's the thing, Sean, you know, Gary has such high level guests on his podcast, but we have to understand that there are high level people behind the scenes making that happen. And that's you. You know, you. You brought that value to us. And now I said, you know, I got to promote Sean to our authors, our coaches, the people that, that we work with, so that everybody knows who you are and the value that you bring. And I love, you know, Gary is always asking, who do we have on next? And one of the things I loved about what you just did, you talked about why people should hire you, and you broke it down. You know, if they're, if they're looking for somebody to make sense of what, of this, the world of scheduling podcast, somebody that's going to find a better way to do it and somebody they can trust, well, that's you. That's who you are. And so you. You broke it down in your yos. So that makes. That makes Gary happy. And he said, we got to get you on the podcast soon. So, you know, tell me about truth. Why. Why is truth so important to you? What let. What led. Led you to that specific. That's a big word. It's a strong word. I know it's important for our folks who have the why of trust, but why is it so important to you?
Yeah, so, you know, the mission of truth, the mission of really, you know, actually just exposing the truth and, you know, just really getting it out to the masses has, you know, kind of came to me, like, just about, I don't know, about probably 14 months, something like that.
Yeah.
And what I realized was that I am the person that should really help people understand the true potential of what they can do and of what we can do together. And so it just connects with every single action that I've taken along the way in my own life. Because it was always all about really just, you know, just making things happen. Really, you know, just when I, you know, actually, you know, just, you know, really, like, just get to book someone on podcast, it's because I want them to develop influence so that they will have the, you know, the force, you know, the actual power to change lives. And, you know, through them, I changed so many lives. So it just, you know, again, makes so much sense. And it is the truth. Because. Why is that? Because, you know, once we all work together, I mean, for me, this is like just, you know, the actual, like, just really clear truth. Once we all Walk together. Once we decide to do things together, once we, you know, once we actually collaborate, you know, to solve problems and to, you know, to do good, that's where the world will change forever.
So for the better.
That's the whole intention. Yes. Yeah.
And that's a better way.
That's a better way.
That is definitely a better way. I love that. So, so let's, let's. Let's talk about the tools, you know, so one of the things we talked about in the intro is you. You intend to give people all the tools they need to fulfill their true potential. So I know that you work really hard, you do the work scenes, you put in the work to get ready to bring an offer to people. But what are the tools that you feel that are unique to you, that you're going to bring?
Yes. So for me, first of all, really just showing people and actually showing them the actual potential within getting their message out the right way and teaching them how to, you know, to actually create a process that brings results with this actual exposure, you know, because it's just, you know, simply, like just exposure without action.
Right.
Doesn't mean much. Right, right. So really, like, give them all the, you know, the actual, you know, like, just guidance of how to do it. Right. So that's the first thing. Second, what I really work on right now, after working with Dino, is dozens of fantastic clients over the last two years, approximately. It's like, to go into detail with all the things that really combine, you know, the actual creation of influence. So, like, this, you know, just really teaching people, you know, like, just all the things that they need to know to, first of all, you know, just, you know, first, let's just actually learn about the mission. Right. And about the why. Second is, you know, how, you know, to get into, you know, like, just, you know, the actual actions that they should take and how to actually position themselves everywhere to start moving the ball, you know, from there, it's like, you know, electricity, like says, making this accessible so that, you know, people who, you know, for example, like to see. No, cannot, you know, for example, you know, let's just get, you know, to actually, you know, to actually, you know. You know, to actually, you know. You know, to actually get me to, for example, actually book them on podcast to do it themselves by giving them, you know, just the tools and the, you know, the lessons of how to do it themselves. So, like, it's really like just all about coming together right now into. Into actual form for people to be able to do it by themselves. And yeah, so like, step by step, I, you know, simply like, you know, create just one resource and, you know, demo just another. And it's just going to be fantastic. And you know, because by the end, my intention is that every single person could actually, you know, first I just actually have access to this and could afford this.
Perfect. There's two things you brought up that I think are really important. Let me acknowledge a couple of people. Lynn Everard said, as an author with a new book releasing in a month, I am loving this conversation. So Sean, meet Lynn. Lynn, meet Sean. You're both connected to me on LinkedIn. You should be able to find each other. And let's help Lynn get on some, some of the right podcasts. He's got a great message. And then Watson Jordan said, results equals right way. So we got to get consistent, reliable results. Right? That's a right way thing. But you talk about building the frameworks and what I heard, what I really heard from you is you're talking about scaling, right? And what's the difference between doing a job, doing what you do for all those 12 people that we've, we mentioned earlier, but not, not just that, all the other people you're working with, but now you're talking about how do we scale this, how do we give the. Get this in the hands of as many people as possible. So instead of hiring Sean to do it, you're going to teach people how to do it and that's how we make that massive impact. That's that massive action you were talking about, right?
Yes, sir. Exactly.
I love that. I love that. So let me see what else. We had a couple of things that we wanted to make sure we talked about. So tell us. You know, I can't remember Sean, so maybe you remember, but how did you learn about Y Institute and, and what made you want to partner with us? Because I remember that that's been, that's been a long time relationship, but it's been, and it's been a really positive relationship. Do you remember our first conversation and how that came about?
Yeah, absolutely. So, you know, actually I got on this Post by David McLennan and he was like, just, you know, actually, you know, actually, you know, which is I guess with Gary and actually, you know, simply just listen to the podcast and I was like, oh, this is a great podcast. And you know, I, you know, just like just decided, you know, to actually comment on that post and you know, to actually tag you and to give like just, you know, my actual breakdown of why I think this is great. And how I think, you know, this could actually, you know, can even become better. And, you know, that's where actually, you know, just, you know, because you then came up and, you know, just actually reached out to me and, you know, just. We just dove into this conversation. You got me through the Y process, and from there, it's all history.
Yeah, I. I love that you mentioned David McLennan because he is such a great friend of Y Institute. He's like you. He's a. Just a really solid guy who wants to make a positive impact in the world, and he. He's always connecting us to the right people. Everybody that I've talked to, we just had Hayden bratt on our Y2Y show not. And we had a chance to. To talk to him about. And one of his clients about the success he's had. He started out as. As someone who just went through the workshop, and then he became a YOS certified coach, and he's. He's spreading the YOS message all over England. So, you know, it's great that you brought up David McLennan, because he. I. I love David. I. I know that I probably say that a lot, but he has been such a great influence for us. So what about. What about for yourself? I know. I saw you use your YOS as you talked about your unique selling proposition. How has discovering your own YOS impacted how you communicate to others? Do you use that in your initial meetings with people? How does that work for you?
That's a great question. So, first of all, as I did before, actually here, I connect just all the components when actually talk to someone about what I do. So, you know, I actually, you know, just simply, you know, let's actually mention how it makes sense how, you know, actually come with better ways and why they can actually trust me. So I really connect all the dots so that I actually make sure that I, you know, first of all, it's just actually just everything that's the truth of me. And second, that I actually, you know, actually qualify the people who really are my ideal clients. And that really fit Sean. So it's, you know, it's been just such a great way, you know, to, first of all, really, you know, just actually learn more about myself and discovery. And second, just a lot of business impact, like, massive business impact.
I love that. And, man, you, you know, Sean, I know you're not one of our YOS certified coaches, but you literally just took the lesson that we teach on why it's important to communicate your why OS to people because you're looking for people that are looking for someone to help them make sense. Looking for people that are looking for a better way and looking for people that are looking for a trustworthy advocate that's going to advocate for them. And you just said it. Those people that resonate with make sense better way and trust, they, they're naturally going to be attracted to you by the messaging that you put out. And then when they come to you, those are the clients you want to work with. Right. Because that you've told them what it is that you can do.
Yes. And so it's just, you know, do you want to, you know, actually something that's just really interesting and funny is that simply like just, you know, like just all the, you know, the people that actually sent your way. Yeah. Has, you know, like, you know, actually, you know, just one of these free wise, you know, it just makes sense better way or trust. So this is insane. I mean, you know, just actually simply close the people who really make sense to what I do and to my why. And I mean it just all aligns. So, you know, how can I, you know, look at this and you know, like, you know, like don't see the value. I mean, right.
Just makes sense and you know it. Watson. Watson is right. Doc Watson is right on. He says best practice to identify ideal clients. Right. Because, you know, I bet when you say it, when you sit across from people and we all talk about that initial conversation with, with a client, whatever business you're in, when you're in that initial conversation, you're trying to figure out, hey, do, do, can I help them? Do they know whether I can help them or can, are they a good fit for me? And, and we all go through that process where we're trying to figure out, okay, who, who is it that I, that I really want to work with? So you might have lunch with them, you might have a couple of cups of coffee with them, or a couple of zoom conversations. But if you know who you are and you come in with your knowledge of your why, your how and your what, you can communicate that fairly quickly. Now the, the, the part, the only part that's missing that I know our coaches do really well is they add the yos of the client because then they know how they fit them. Right? So when we know that if I'm talking to Sean and I want to bring him on board, I want to talk to him about ways that the Y Institute working with us makes sense. Right? Ways of working with, with us is a better way and way that. Ways that working with us can help you build trust with all those authors that you're going to be working with. And if I talk things, you're going to nod, right? Because these are the things that are important to you. And so even without that, though, you've had tremendous success. So I. I applaud you. I really do, because it's been. It's been such a great relationship. And even when I called you to be on the show, I know that there was such a big time difference, and we. We struggled to get a time that worked for both of us. So thank you for staying up late. Sean, is there anything that you're excited about right now that you want to share with our audience before we close out?
Wow. Yes. So, absolutely. So, first of all, Dan, I mean, it's been so exciting. You know, I really, you know, just want to say, I mean, you know, just on Monday, I think, you know, actually, you know, just when the post got up about this interview, I gotta say, I was nervous. I mean, you know, I was like, oh, you know, just, you know, sometimes I actually stutter and I get stuck. And, you know, not just what if and what if and what if, but the bottom line is that we got on here to give so much value to people and, you know, to actually do a very, very, very best to share insights and to enlighten and to give them the tools, and that's all that matters. So, you know, like, actually, my message is always go out there and do things for people. First of all, it will make you feel fantastic. Second, it can you know, can actually, you know, simply, like, just make you rich. Third, it can absolutely change the world, even if you only work with people one on one. And I can absolutely see that after, you know, just really two years of working with so many people and seeing such fantastic impact, not just, you know, not like, you know, not just like just the impact that I did of them, but the impact that I made of them to make impacts on others.
Right.
So always have that in mind, because life is fantastic. So let's just help people.
I love that. That is so good, Sean. And one of the things I want to make sure we do is how can people get a hold of Sean? If somebody wants to get a hold of you, what's the best way to get a hold of you? If they wanted to work with you, they're an author, they want to get on some awesome podcasts.
Yeah. So first of all, you know, everybody likes LinkedIn is fantastic. I mean, I'm There, like, just almost all the time. Second is my email, which is Sean Budabook.com and so, you know, let's just throw. It's Facebook, obviously, which is, you know, just facebook.com, you know, forward slash. Sean Rosenborn. So, you know, feel free to reach out to me even if you, you know, just, you know, you know, I just don't, you know, just want to actually develop a conversation or to hear more or, you know, to, you know, you know, just like this, you know, to, you know, to look into the best ways that we could be valid to each other. I'm absolutely down for that. Also, lastly, then, if I may, I'm actually working on a resource, you know, to actually share with everybody, of how to get yourself on podcasts. Because, you know, this will be, you know, actually, you know, like, just actually, you know, actually, you know, will be in this program that I actually want to share with the world. And so, you know, it just makes sense. So send me a message if you want this.
And excellent.
I know that, that Gary just made a comment. He said, you're a natural, Sean, and then you got it. You got a thumbs up from Amy Miller in New Mexico. So, Amy Miller, hello. Thanks for being on Gary Watson, everybody who commented. I know we had a couple of people who were showed up as LinkedIn user. Thank you so much for, for listening in, for giving an opportunity for Sean to share his, his energy. Man, you have got some great energy. Everybody always tells me I have energy. I can't keep up with Sean. He's got positive energy. So keep it going, man. Let's, let's keep this going. Let's stay in touch. Let me know how I can help you. I know that you're going to make some connections here. I know for a fact that, that Lynn is going to probably reach out to you. So let's stay in touch and I want to hear more about what you're doing. As you continue with that, I'm going to say it's a wrap. Say goodbye, Sean.
Bye bye, everybody. Thank you so much for being here.
Thanks, everybody.
