Jenn Simmons, MD, delivers a brief, personal video reflection about caring for sick family members while balancing clinical and business responsibilities. She emphasizes that healing is not one-size-fits-all and advocates a marriage between integrative and conventional medicine so patients can "get what you need" at differing times in their care journey.

It has definitely been two of the hardest weeks of my life, and I've had a lot of hard weeks. With my husband sick and now my son being sick, and me still continuing to have to be a doctor and a businesswoman, a provider, it's been really, really hard. But I am filled with a tremendous amount of gratitude that I have this skill set, that I have this perspective. And it reminds me through my own personal experience and now the experience of my family, there is a marriage between the integrative medicine world and the conventional medicine world. There is no one way, There is no right way to heal. And the right way to heal is to get what you need. Everyone is different, and their needs are different, and what they need is different. And maybe what you need right now is different than what you need in a month or a year or two years or five years. Getting what you need may be different at different times, but I believe that what you need is a marriage between those two worlds. And I. I'm so grateful that I have this perspective, that I have this opportunity to help to deliver what people need, especially to have the opportunity to have that perspective and to help my family through what we're going through right now. If my experience helps you, that is all that is important. Get what you need.
