Jenn Simmons, MD tours PerfeQTion Imaging's QT breast scanner, which uses warm water and ultrasound instead of compression. The prone table takes 8-12 minutes per side, produces 3D images, and causes no pain. The center wraps the experience in spa touches: robes, fuzzy slippers, dim lights, and music.

Amazing. Welcome to our center, our little humble abode. Thank you. I'm so excited to be here. Let's take us on a tour. Yeah, absolutely. So come this way. So, you know, when people come, we really wanted to create this kind of awesome, immersive, spa like experience because I want to take the fear and the pain and the trauma out of breast imaging. So we have them come in and put on, like, a beautiful robe and fuzzy slippers and just make it feel really warm and comfortable and inviting. And you come in and have your scan. So this is our QT scanner. If you come over here. So this is an ergonomically designed table. And what happens is you lie face down and there's a hole in the table, and there are ultrasound generators all around this. And so they just spin around, sending off sound waves that help us to create a 3D reconstruction of the breast. But all you feel is.
Oh, my gosh, right?
Your breast gets immersed in this warm, delicious water.
And we turn down the lights, there's beautiful music, and you take a nap.
Or you meditate or. We had.
We had a rabbi's wife in and she said she spent 20 minutes with God. We are reinventing how you screen for breast cancer. How long does the fusion scan take?
It depends on the length of the breast, because what happens is it starts the bottom and spins around, moves up 3 millimeters. Spins around, moves up 3 millimeters. So anywhere from 8 to 12 minutes per side.
No squishing involved.
No squishing, no pain. You feel what the water feels like.
It's amazing.
People, literally, they say they feel like.
They'Re a spa or they took a.
Nap or, you know, it's the one time in their very busy lives, because.
We all have really busy lives where they just get to spend time with themselves and completely let go and relax. No discomfort at all. It's actually a beautiful experience. Super handy.
