I remember when my grandfather went into the hospital with his, like, fifth heart attacks. He had nine before he died and two strokes. And the number of pill bottles that he would bring with him each time he went to the hospital, it wasn't a low number. We're talking about, like, nine or 10 or 11 pill bottles. And when he died, I was. I was 16 years old when he died and having this epiphany myself. And I said to my father, like, dad, not for nothing, what. What is going on here? Why would Papa be on all of these medicines? And ultimately, I think that he died of polypharmacy.

Not unusual. You know what? Prescription drugs and legal prescription Drugs are the fourth leading cause of death in the United States. Over 200,000 people die every year from proper use of prescription drugs. I'm not talking about overdosing. Yeah, and nobody's paying attention to it. They're not recognizing this.
