Hey, how you doing? In Deal With It, I talk about developing a brains trust, a group of people that you can rely on to give you input and guidance, particularly in difficult times. Gathering that group of people is an intentional thing and is often a difficult thing because it's very hard to assess someone's intent towards you. So I've just written down 3 things that you could use as a measure to Assess whether or not someone is going to give you advice that is actually good for you. Number 1 is, is this person a good and honourable person? Are they a person of integrity in all areas of their life? Number 2 is, how well do you know that person? And number 3, do they have a history of keeping your best interests in mind? Now, that last point I found is the most important. Because there are very few people in life who, regardless of what you're going through, actually want the best for you.
