Dr. John A. King lost 5.5 to 6 pounds in a week using Plexus while doing five days a week of cardio and lifting. He argues sustainable weight loss comes from daily habits, not quick fixes, comparing small actions to seeds that grow into lasting change over a decade.

I'm at the gym. It's, you know, up at 4:15 and out the door by, I think it was 5 o'clock this morning. Had a little bit of a slower start. And started training cardio today. I try to lift, well, it depends. It depends on, at the moment I'm on 5 days a week and cardio's part of that. How many days a week do you train? I think with anything, look, I'm enjoying the Plexus. There has been a 6-pound, 5.5, 6-pound loss in the last week, which is good. I do think that it's helping with my sleep. So I'm interested to see how this next week will go. Statistically, it's not unrealistic for me to lose another 2 pounds. If I lose another 4 pounds, I'll be very encouraged by it. But it's gonna be the ongoing weight loss after that, 'cause we all shift weight in the first 2 weeks. It really is in the 4th week and the 8th week where you're starting to see major difference. It's interesting reading some of the posts on the 60 Day Trim site, how people just, they get discouraged after a week or 2. And it just doesn't need to be the case, you know. There is no secret to success. I talk about that in one of my books. And I think we're gonna do some training with the Tex Plexus group on that. There just really is no secret to success. These are very simple principles that we know and put in place. What you have to do is put them all together at the same time. You just can't put cardio together with high-fat diet or a low-sugar diet with no exercise program. It has to be consistent over time. I think the best way for me to explain it is if you take a seed and you put a seed in the ground, then from a tiny thing can grow something that's great phenomenal. And if you're not allowing that seed to grow, then it will just never grow. But you have to take something small and give it time to grow. And weight loss is like that. Healthy lifestyle is like that. Mental change is like that. I know when I had a complete breakdown in my own life in 2008, mental, physical, everything happened because of, you know, a whole bunch of trauma came back from when I was a kid. That the only way I was able to build back from basically just bottoming out altogether, career-wise, family-wise, everything, was one little seed. Not one little seed every day, but taking one seed and watering it over time in order to see it grow. And I think it's anything like with a 60-day trim-out, is accepting the fact that you're at the front end of the journey, not the back end of the journey, planting that seed and committing to watering that seed for the next decade. I'm pretty sure there's not a person out there who just wants to lose weight in the next 60 days. In fact, what they wanna do is change their lifestyle so over time for the next decade or 2, they're gonna be inhabiting the body that's gonna get them to their destiny. When your life expectancy, when your destiny exceeds your life expectancy, you really have to do something. And there's a lot of people out there today who are walking around with dreams inside a body that cannot get them to the finish line. Anyway, just thoughts.
