In this informal video update, Dr. John A. King reports on the first two months of operation at the family‑run Beans & Cream shop. He highlights the contributions of family members—Mamie (who enjoys cleaning with Windex), former Starbucks manager Mel (handling morning coffee duties), and his children Jess and Noah, whose teamwork has improved dramatically. The shop’s afternoon ice‑cream sales have doubled thanks to Henry’s Ice Cream, receiving rave reviews for flavor and texture. King also announces the upcoming launch of premium organic coffee beans, including a Brazilian water‑processed decaf. He notes how the kids are now more engaged, spending less time on games and more time working together, and shares a recent conversation with a community member who wants help starting a business for her son. Overall, the tone is proud and optimistic about the shop’s growth and community impact.

Hey, hey, Keller, how you doing? Just give you a bit of update on the shop. We've been open just 2 months now. It's going really well. As a dad, I'm really proud of the kids. They've really taken to it, especially my youngest ones. Mamie's really enjoying it. She's not too sure what she can do other than Windex everything, but it sounds like something from a bad line from Big Fat Greek Wedding or something, but she Windexes everything. Windex solves all the problems. Mel's been a great blessing in the morning and people starting to get to know her. And, you know, as a previous manager of Starbucks, she's certainly getting the coffee thing down. Enjoying the coffee beans and starting to get all of that in place for everybody. Henry's Ice Cream has done what we'd hoped that it would do. It's doubled our ice cream sales in the afternoon. People are loving it. They love the quality of it, the texture of it. We've had nothing but rave reviews about every flavor we've had. And that's just, you know, we're really, really pleased with that, and we're expecting and hoping to have the same results when we introduce all the organic beans. I'm just trying this morning a little decaf actually. It's a Brazilian organic decaf and it's beautiful. Water processed, no chemicals whatsoever. So we're going for those premium things and it's coming along. I'm really proud of Jess and Noah and how they're working together. Really seen their relationship change. I think sometimes as parents we try and spend most of our time refereeing our children. What I've found with Jess and Noah is that we've thrown them into this project Yeah. And they're really working together, they're really developing a team relationship, not only in the shop but also in the home. So that's been wonderful to watch. What I've also noticed is because no one's sitting around now for hours at a time playing Angry Birds 14th, you know, the Star Wars edition, but every moment is now precious to them. So, you know, They're up here, they're working, they're doing their thing, or they're home and they're really enjoying their time off. So it's been a really interesting couple of months and looking forward to it going ahead. Had an interesting conversation with a lady the other day who was inspired to help her son start a business. Well, he got inspired to start a business, so we're going to try and find a way to help him here in the next couple of weeks. So it's been a good couple of months. I'll try and talk the kids into giving you video updates. They're somewhat reluctant. Alright, thank you.
