Dr. John A. King reviews Chase Hughes's Six-Minute X-Ray, praising the first half's storytelling about Hughes's background and his rapid-assessment system. The second half, King says, is a sales pitch for a $6,000 course. He used AI to extract the actual tips for free and argues Hughes should make the information publicly available.

Right, Six Minute X-Ray. It's by that guy, you know, Chase Hughes. You know, the guy you see on all the videos sitting there going, I worked with the CIA and NASA and I can read your mind and ruin you. You know that guy? This is by him. So anyway, all right, brilliant. The bollocks. Half bollocks, maybe 3/4 bollocks. Here's why. First half of the book, brilliant. I'd give it a brilliant. Second half, Total bollocks. So Chris goes through basically saying, look, I'm a ninja, I'm awesome. But it was really interesting, the process that he went through to make up this 6-minute intro. What he's basically saying is within 6 minutes, if you learn his system— learn his system— that you can go and examine someone from their facial features and what they do in their hand movements and all that sort of stuff, and basically be like some sort of ninja interrogator. Problem is his practical advice on how to do it is a bloody 45-day self-step program, or pay him 6 grand to go away to one of his courses. So I'm saying, mate, you know what I did? I went to chat and put it in, you know, 6 Minute X-Ray by Chase Hughes. Tell me how to do it, like, in simply applicable today. Got an answer, didn't cost me 6 grand. And I'm saying, Chase, Mate, seriously, step up to the mark. People need this information today. We all need this information. We live in a world which is a little bit crazy and off-tilt, and the ability to be able to read someone, be situationally aware, know what's going on, is absolutely a fundamental skill that everybody should have. So you've got the knowledge. Don't charge me $6,000 to attend a course when I can go to Chad and get the download. Give it to me here, mate. Now I understand if I want to be an NSA or NASA or whoever you want to be, CIA, COVID black ops ninja, then I have to spend my 6 grand. I don't want to. Keep my family and my kids safe. So good book. Understand that the first half's going to be a great story. It's phenomenal story about him and his mum and how he got this thing done. Back half is whatever. No one's going to spend 45 days sitting around doing like 2 hours of work a day. Ain't gonna happen. Unfortunately, half bollocks. Had a chat. Cheers.
